One cable snapped on my garage door on a Sunday. I called the Gaithersburg Garage Door company and left a message on their answering machine. Unfortunately, they do not offer emergency same-day service but a representative did call me back the following morning and left a message on my answering machine. When I returned the call late morning, we scheduled service for Tuesday afternoon. The repairman arrived a 4:00 pm and replaced the broken cable. He asked if I wanted the cable on the other side of the garage door replaced also. I did, so he replaced both. Received a 3 year parts and labor warranty

The sales guy was really nice. The installer was very friendly and was great around kids. The door they replaced was in very bad shape so they rushed to get my door installed within a week. Overall great sales, back office and installer.

I got a quick reply to my quote request. Sales person Dave Baker came by and gave me a estimate, didn't try to over sell anything. Actually was upfront about not needing new garage door openers. I compared his quote of $5115 to HomeDepot of $4450 for identical doors and service, not including tax or disposal of old doors. I presented this to Mr. Baker who promptly contacted his Clopay rep and got me the identical sales price HD was offering. Doors, labor and tax was $4500, all included. They scheduled service for one week later, professional installers did a quick and clean job. I was home for the install but was told I could have simply left one door unlocked for them. The new doors with all the hardware including new track and chains made the openers supre quiet, just as Mr. Baker said. The doors are beautiful of course, but the service was the best part of the experience.

Perfect. Technician on time, diagnosed the problem, gave me an estimate and did the work. In and out in less than 1 hr and door has worked fine since. Would definitely recommend this contractor any time!

The guy was great -- friendly, professional, on time, cleaned up when done and put everything back in its place. And he programmed my car to connect to the opener eliminating the need for individual openers (but I got two new ones as well). I have used this company in the past for a minor repair and will definitely use them in the future. And the price was reasonable and I got a 5% discount.

The door broke amid the sleet that was coming down, of course, and after we were in the house we looked on Angie's list and jotted down a few numbers. When we called the in morning the first business kept me on hold so long I decided that it was not a good sign and turned to Gaithersburg and was very glad that i did. I explained what I thought needed to be done and received a quote based on that service. We decided to pay a bit extra for a same-day service as it fit with my work schedule and they were on a call nearby. When I arrived home 20 minutes later the technician was there. He said that yes, it was a broken spring and when I mentioned all that the previous contractor had told us needed to be done 2 yrs. ago when they last broke, he said that those were not necessary services...all new cable and rollers. He finished in about 1/2 an hour, told me the best way to keep the spring and the door in the best working order, showed me all that he had done, and explained their warranty for their work. Definitely recommend them!

Gaithersburg Garage Doors did a fantastic job on replacing two damaged garage doors and the aging lifters associated with them. They provided excellent on-site advice during the estimate process, answered tons of questions, provided samples of material from which we could make an informed selection, and delivered the most price-worthy of the several we received. The company was very flexible in terms of scheduling, as the garage door project had to wait for other exterior work to be completed. Working with us in terms of timing, the company was able to accommodate non-traditional work hour requests in order to fit within the overall construction plan. The technician installer was a real pro -- the sort of quiet professional for whom we often hope but infrequently find. They did the job right the first time. Strongly recommended.

The door was delivered on the day promised and installed on a very, very cold day by one gentleman in an amazingly fast and efficient manner. I was very impressed with the customer service from start to finish.

They came on time. The guy was friendly and knowledgeable. He was done in half hour and I got 5% discount, which I was unaware of, from using Angie's List. He did maintenance on the garage door as well as installing the outside keypad. He was excellent on all categories. The cost was reasonable and he was on time.

I thought they were expensive, but they came when they said they are going to come and they did a very good job. He replaced the spring quickly.

Everything went fine. I was worried at first when the tech arrived alone. However he had my old door taken down and the new one up in a matter of hours. This was done in the dead of winter. I have used Gaithersburg Garage Doors at each location I have lived in Montgomery County.

I contacted Gaithersburg Garage Door Inc from the top rated providers in my area on Angies List. They quoted a price that met my requirements. My wife and I wanted to see the actual garage door opener. We set up an appointment to see a demonstration of the garage door opener at their store. We arrived and saw that Gaithersburg Garage Door Inc had a mock-up of several garage door openers in their store. After seeing the demo, we agreed to purchase the garage door opener and the installation from Gaithersburg Garage Door Inc. We set up an installation date and time for a a few days later. On the agreed upon installation date within an hour before the agreed upon time, the installation technician called me when when he said he was approximately 1/2 hour away. That was fine with me. He arrived shortly thereafter and began the work of removing my old garage door opener and installing the new garage door opener. The job took about 1 hour. It went smoothly. The technician was knowledgeable and knew what to do. When he finished he presented me with an invoice that matched what we had agreed upon. I paid the invoice. He hauled off the old garage door opener in his truck. All-in-all, a pleasant experience. Then, about 1 week later, one of the garage door opener remote key fobs failed to work. I called Gaithersburg Garage Door Inc and set up a time for a technician to come out and troubleshoot the problem. Within 5 minutes of that technician arriving and troubleshooting, he determined the problem was the remote key fob unit. He replaced that unit with a new unit at no cost to me and I haven't had a problem since. I was pleased with the initial installation and with the procedure and resolution of the problem with one of my remote key fob units. Their customer service scheduling and operation worked perfectly. I would certainly use Gaithersburg Garage Door Inc again.

I called Gaithersburg Garage Door, Inc. to provide an estimate. I think I called on a Monday and they were able to accommodate the next day or the following day. Of all the companies I called they were the only ones who had someone answering phones and who actually showed up to provide an estimate. When the mechanic, Pat, came over I also asked him to provide an estimate to fix a dented door and add a keyless entry pad. What I liked about the estimates process was there was no pressure to add on extras and the mechanic was willing to discuss options with me, including not fixing the dented pane as it wasn't a performance issue just an eyesore. He took no more than 30 minutes and patiently responded to my questions. He left me with a written estimate and instructions on how to make an appointment for service. I called for service and they were able to quickly schedule me on the Friday before Memorial Day. The morning of service, I received a voicemail that multiple mechanics had called in sick so they wanted to schedule my service earlier that morning than origianlly planend. As I would be at home, I called back and agreed to the earlier service. The individual who reapired my door was the same mechanic who'd provided me with the estimate. I really liked this consistency. He was punctual and got straght to work. It took around 30-45 minutes to fix the broken window pane, the broken hinge, install the keyless entry pad and oil the hinges and tracks. Once completed, Pat provided me with instructions for how to use the keyless entry. He was professional, polite and patient with my questions even though he had double or triple the work due to the other mechanics calling out sick. I would use Gaithersbug Garage Door, Inc. again and recommend them highly to others. The service and interactions I had was a model I'd like other business to emulate.

They were very responsive and did what they were supposed to do. They got the work done rapidly, neatly and got it done at a lower price than we expected.

I got two quotes (both from companies listed on Angie's List). Gaithersburg Garage Doors was the most responsive I got quick email responses (as I requested) to my questions. They also met the competing proposal. The doors were installed on the day scheduled and the installation was finished in a few hours. The doors were exactly what I expected. The installation was very professional.

They were responsive to the call for appointment and wer very timely at the service time. Best of all was that they called 30 minutes prior to arrival allowing us to be more useful with our time - a real plus!

Everything went exceptionally well; Pat did a SUPER job! This morning (4/17/2014), I put out my trash, returned to my garage and shut the garage door. The door definitely shut--it went down with a big bang. A cable broke, and the door wouldn't budge, automatically or manually--and my car was inside the garage. Obviously, I needed help ASAP. I knew I needed to replace my door opener, but I had been procrastinating for several months. I couldn't procrastinate any longer if I wanted to drive my car. Additionally, I wasn't expecting a cable to break--but it's been 16 years since it was installed. At 8:00 a.m., I phoned Gaithersburg Garage Door and spoke with Gabrielle. Gabrielle was not only pleasant, but she had all the information I needed, without my needing to speak with anyone else. I wanted and needed a new garage door opener, and some trim needed to be replaced. Gabrielle gave me an estimate over the phone, and she had an appointment time available. Pat arrived around 9:30 a.m. By 11:00 a.m., Pat had finished the job. Needless to say, I was thrilled! This company had installed the old opener and also a steel garage door for me16 years ago and did a great job. That being said, I didn't need to hunt around for a company to phone--I already knew who I would call for this service. They did a good job then; and now, 16 years later, Gaithersburg Garage Door is still doing superior work! Customer service was outstanding! Gabrielle and Pat, thank you!

He did a great job. He was quick, efficient, and it has never worked as well as it does now.

The salesman was great, he did not try to sell us more than we needed and was very knowledgeable. The installation went smoothly and the new door is fantastic. At the beginning we had a misunderstanding regarding the appointment time. We assumed the salesman would show up at the appointed time. After waiting for a half an hour we called only to find out that the time of the appointment is only an estimate and the salesman may arrive up to an hour later. As a result we had to reschedule. Everything else went without a problem. We have recommended Gaithersburg Garage Door to our neighbors and would definitely use them again.

They replaced the door and rails with a newer better door and fixed an issue with the rails coming down. Great job. We have used them before for minor garage door repairs and are very satisfied with price and performance.

Salesman was awesome and the install tech was kind courteous and professional. What a great company, I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a garage door. Definitely not the typical Chuck and a truck you will see online.

My overhead rail connection had separated from the support and I decided to contact the original installer, Gaithersburg Garage Door Inc. I explained the situation and the company stated that they would send out an experienced technician. The technician looked at the connection problem and listened to my comments. I have not had any problems since. All in all, I made the right decision and am thankful for their professional staff.

The service was excellent. The technician was very friendly and worked quickly. It's so nice to use a professional garage door company instead of just a handiman. The work was very inexpensive, although that may be because I used one of the Angie's List deals.
