They did an excellent job, on time and with no problems. I am using them to do more work this summer.

Went very well. Andrew came and provided the estimate for the job split into two line items and then provided a discount if I was to move forward with both. Was at least 30% cheaper than general contractor that I was using for kitchen reno.

Original meeting was good. We met with owner, Andrew, and we felt confident working with this company. We were assured that they would be using their own employees (licensed, bonded, etc.) and that we would not have "strangers" trampsing through the house. We were quoted about 4 weeks to complete the work. Beautiful Home Services was recommended by a friend who had her master bathroom updated in Fairfax, VA. Work began at the beginning of September and ended at the beginning of November 2013. The work took significantly longer than we were quoted. The shower had to be tiled twice, causing me personally to have to go to the tile shop and get the necessary materials (in both Springfield and Rockville). We had several groups of contractors with no real continuity of operations. The shower floor had to be redone in places more than once, it took several times to get the tiles to be applied correctly. The made a mess of our master bedroom and we had them take the cost of cleaning the floor professionally out of our final bill. The bottom line is, it got done and we happy with the results. But, it took much longer than anticipated and the work had to be redone several times. I would not recommend this company. Since they are based in Maryland, I think that there strongest work is probably done in other areas, where they have dependable and talented workers. This was a headache from start to finish. My fingers are crossed that no other problems with workmanship will come to light.

This is the second time that I have used Beautiful Homes Services for interior painting. Everything went very well. Andrew came by exactly when he said he would to give me an estimate. His estimate was much lower than another estimate given to us by another highly rated Angie's List company. The first company did not include painting the ceiling or all of the trim and their price was similar to Beautiful Homes Services which included ceilings and trim. Andrew explained that we should paint those things to make everything looked fresh. He also offered an additional service to replace plugs that had been painted over many times, and the fresh look of all new plugs really made a difference. The crew consisted of two painters who were perfectionists and really wanted to make sure everything was done very carefully. I received several phone calls from the site supervisor during the 3-day job to make sure everything was going well, and it was. It is also easy to reach the company by phone or e-mail, or even by text message! I could not have been more pleased with Beautiful Homes Services.

They blew the competition off of the map with their pricing.

We met Andrew (one of the owners) at the home show this fall. He came and offered us estimates on a variety of projects which we want to have done. First on the list was the master suite. We wanted to paint, but also wanted to upgrade the vanities. Our hopes were to have the project done before the holidays. Andrew worked with us to choose the colors and how best to upgrade. Once we discovered that the cabinets we chose wouldn't be available for 3 months (or more), we contact Andrew who willingly changed the contract so that only the painting would be done now, and we will upgrade the rest once it arrives. The work was fantastic! Luis (the manager on site) and his group arrived promptly and worked diligently through the project. Our room is now restful and relaxing. Then, we moved on to the dining room and the living room. We were in the process of having the floors refinished and couldn't book anything until that project was complete. Once we felt things were on schedule with that project, we added the other painting. Unfortunately, we had to change the day for Andrew's group to come out due to the floor project taking a little longer than anticipated, but Andrew made sure that the project was finished as quickly as possible. And the workmanship is excellent! Luis and his group worked steadily and professionally, and finished the two rooms in one day. Last night my husband and I spent the evening admiring the work as we reorganized the furniture. The rooms are beautiful, and look so nice for the holidays. Thank you, Andrew, for all the work and coordination with your team. I know it was a challenge, but you handled it professionally and promptly. We couldn't be happier.

I liked him but the one reason I didn’t use him was he was a smaller company and they were much more specific as to what they do. They just come and sort of redecorate and redesign. They just do the drywall work. He didn’t do any insulation work and I needed the insulation as well. He was very good and very professional. He even followed up with a thank you card after our meeting which none of the others did. I thought it was a really nice touch, but it is a much smaller and intimate company. He was very attentive when I was telling him what I needed done. He took the appropriate measurements. He described his company and how it got started and everything. Other than the fact that he didn’t do all that I needed to have done it was very good. If I just had something that was more cosmetic then he would be perfect because they are more of a decorator service.

The second time I used the service they used a different crewe that didn't do as good of a job as the first crew. The owners are always wonderful to work with though and are always responsive to any concerns we had.

We were looking to install a basement in our bathroom from scratch. We chose Beautiful Home Services because of their professionalism during the estimate and their price. While it was a bit of a pain to buy all our own materials (tile, grout, vanity, toilet, faucet, fan, etc), especially since we had never done any remodeling before, we had a great experience with a manager at The Tile Shop who helped us pick out everything to create a beautiful bathroom. It was an added bonus that BHS allowed us to use their contractor code to get 15% off all materials at The Tile Shop. The entire project took about 3 weeks -- well within the deadline we asked for, which was to have the bathroom completed before our entire family came in for Labor Day weekend. The workers came promptly every day. My one complaint is that the workers were not very good tile installers at all. Their methods of cutting and placing tile just didn't make sense logically or aesthetically. Their first placement of the floor tile was completely crooked. I watch a lot of HGTV remodeling shows, which by no means makes me an expert, but I do know a bad tile job when I see one. It was almost a daily occurrence that I would come home and have to write an email to Craig explaining the things I thought needed to be fixed about the tile and bathroom before the project could continue. This was very, very frustrating. There were also a couple times when the faucets I ordered didn't come with all the correct pipes and I was asked to get the missing parts, but, without knowing what parts he was talking about (he spoke very broken English), I became extremely frustrated and had to insist that he buy the part needed and I would pay for it. Again, never having done any remodeling, things like that were extremely foreign to me. HOWEVER, what made this a good experience for us is that Craig was INCREDIBLY responsive to all our concerns and made sure to personally address each and every one with the workers when we brought issues to his attention. He was completely invested in making sure we were satisfied and that his team delivered a bathroom that we would love. We were diligent in making sure we didn't settle for anything less than a great bathroom, and Craig was wonderful about working with us to ensure the same. I have heard horror stories about people using contractors that do a bad job, take their money and leave the project uncompleted so it was scary to enter into a project like this without knowing much about remodeling and knowing nothing at all about Beautiful Home Services, but we ultimately had a good experience and our bathroom is amazing! The brief moments of frustration throughout the project were better than what we could have encountered with other companies. I work in the hospitality industry and we abide by the principle that, while not everything may go right, if an issue is brought to our attention and rectified to the customers satisfaction, then we have done an excellent job. I would say that, because of Craig's great customer service, every issue that I brought to his attention was addressed and corrected to my satisfaction. It's hard to find great customer service these days, so, for that, Beautiful Home Services deserves an A. Thank you, Craig! Side Note (aka lesson learned from my first remodeling project): As the customer, it is your responsibility to oversee you project to make sure it is being done the way you want it to be done. If it's not being done to your liking, and you say nothing, you have no one to blame but yourself if it turns out bad.

Yes! Finally! An honest, reliable company that performs excellent work!! Can it be? Beautiful Homes Services is that company! BHS painted the exterior of our home. Both Andrew and Craig were exactly on time for every appointment that was scheduled, and they followed up with phone calls each and every time they said they would call. We were referred to BHS from our neighbor. The BHS crew was meticulous, clean and on time. No time was ever wasted during the day. And at the end of each workday, debris was cleaned up and materials were put away. There was never a mess. The job was completed within the timeframe that was promised. Our home looks amazing and we would not hesitate to recommend Beautiful Home Services.

He was great. They are reliable. I had no problems working with them at all. They are very friendly, respectful, and courteous. We were very pleased with their work. I hope to be using them again soon. The cost was very affordable for the work provided.

My amazing experience with Beautiful Home Services started with Andrew, the company's VP and main sales contact. He came to the house and took copious notes and presented a VERY thorough proposal, accounting for all the main areas of the work as I had asked him to do.While I was still getting estimates from other vendors, Andrew sent a hand-written cardf--this is something almost every other vendor fails to do and I see it as a sign of professionalism and true salesmenship. Anyone can send you an email, but EFFORT goes into a hand crafted note! We called Andrew because one other vendor was sligfhtly below his price and he opted to match it AND we threw in the deck work to get a totally reasonable package. I truly got the best value from BHS for a wonderful price! The crew performed the work in stages, completing the outside work in two and a half days and my house instantly looked better from the outside. I was amazed at how the work was. The crew who showed up were all polite gentlemen and put in a solid work day. Two weeks later, the interior project began and the two men who worked in my house were excellent! They did an amazing job and my house truly looks fantastic. I look at the colors and am very happy with what we chose, but I'm even happier that the crew did such wonderful work. They were nice people who worked very quickly, but were extremely accurate in applying the color. I felt completely safe leaving the house to do errands and was always impressed that the work was done to perfection as they finished each part of my house. During the effort, both Craig and Dylan-the two PM's--stayed in touch and came by for scheduled walk throughs to make sure I was happy. They noticed more things needing touch ups than I did! All I can say is that I cannot say enough good things about these people. They take pride in their work and they are ever so happy when you happy with them. I have two more projects in the future and next time I won't even bother to get estimates....I will just call Andrew and tell him to send his crew back because I know I'll get an excellent price and a job well done.

I don’t remember the price they charged me. They had some subcontractors come out. When it comes to their quality, they did really well. They seemed more knowledgeable. Some of the other quotes and plans that were presented to me were kind of bizarre. I would use their services again.

They redid our master bath room. Their stuffs are pretty expensive. They were instrumental in getting us understand. They put granite tops for our sinks. They got us a discount on all the products. They are a group which says no problem for anything. They did a beautiful job on the tile work. They came in with good ideas to do the work.

1) I had emailed to find out what we should remove or could keep on the deck during the washing stage, without a reply. So on the day the workers came, we had a table and a bin with cushions on the deck. 2) The people washing the deck were not skilled at it. They either were too close or too forceful as in places they have damaged the wood from the force of the water. 3) They also got the water so close to the cushion storage bin that the lid cracked open and the contents got wet. We had to remove everything to dry it to prevent mildew. It wasn't heavy, they could have moved it or asked us to move it. 4) When the workers went on lunch break, they left the compressor too close to the railing support and BURNED a hole?bigger than a golfball?in the support. They did replace the support when we insisted. Their first offer was to fill it with wood filler. (We had to call them back to replace one of the washer/nuts they left off). I'm really glad we were home to notice that the deck was on fire...imagine if we hadn't been how much more damage could have been done! 5) We had agreed upon a clear coat seal, which would have been fine, but since the wash was so forceful in places, the old stain is gone over large swaths of the deck, making it a very ugly finish. Overall, the company did what was agreed to, and the deck does repel water now, but I am not happy with the work. I do not feel that the workers were qualified for the work they performed, nor did they exercise any judgement about changing the seal to a colored one (or even bringing up the matter with us) when they had clearly taken off much of the old. I really hope that things fade out to be more even.

Owner gave the estimate and explained the process. Explained products and paint used. Called several days before to confirm with me that everything was on. They arrived promptly at 8am and were cleaned up and done by 2:30pm. I would definitely use them again. Great job!

We have a large Victorian and waited a few years too long to get it painted. Beautiful Homes wasn't the cheapest bid, but we liked their attitude and style and weren't disappointed. Andrew & Craig are simply the best. We wanted the house done in the San Francisco "Painted Lady's" style. We needed 6 colors and trying to choose from little pieces of paper was driving us nuts. Craig got small containers of various samples and put them on the garage & front steps to give us some help in deciding. Finally, they arranged for us to meet with designers at Sherman Williams, and they helped us finally pick the colors. They were incredibly patient and helpful throughout the process. Because of the Victorian style, it was a very delicate painting job & we told both of them that we were fanatics about very clean lines. It turns out they're just as fanatical about quality work. The team they had on the job was outstanding. Throughout the job, we'd make changes or suggestions, and their attitude was always, "no problem." (That should be the company's motto.) They worked quickly & efficiently, were unfailingly pleasant and cooperative, and did outstanding work. The house is more beautiful than we imagined. Often one thinks of these kind of expenditures as "ugly money;" i.e. money you have to spend on a house but you don't really see anything worthwhile. This was anything but. It's been a year, and we still marvel at how much more beautiful the house is.

The job went well. I am grateful. I look forward to the next opportunity to work with this company.

The person we contacted seemed pretty understanding, but the workers who came made several mistakes, such as using the wrong paint on the ceiling and did not install the drywall around the fireplace as we liked so they had to redo a couple things. They did attempt to fix their mistakes, but it seemed like they were kind of sloppy. We have three skylights in our bedroom and we wanted them to remove some screens that were right around the skylights and in the process of removing them they chipped off some of the finish and were just going to leave it that way. We noticed it and they did fix it at our request, but we found many of the errors before they left and they had to return to fix up some things. It was the most stressful three days I've had of people working in my house. The contact never showed up, said his project manager would be there, he never was even after three days, and after promising to be there on the third day. We have a lot of hand painted and crafted furniture, and they did not have respect for our property. I could hear them from my home office, sanding the skylight, and nothing was covering the closet. If I hadn't come in, everything in my closet would have been covered in sawdust. The same thing happened with our bathroom door, but all the things we had moved in there were covered in sawdust including our TV and my toothbrush. They also worked on the attic stairs, which are near our piano, and I had to ask them to cover it so it would not be coated in sawdust. In the end, things were still not up to our expectations. I thought it was a disaster, and it was a very stressful experience. They didn't even apologize or ask what they could have done better.

Beautiful Home Services was very organized in their work. They did a very neat and thorough job. The employees were very nice and easy to communicate with. They did a complete cleanup and it was not noticeable that they had been there. Their pricing was a little more expensive, but the quality of the work was worth it.

They did a good job and I think you can get better on pricing. I found some places that were missed such as decorative railings that had rotted out and needed to be replaced and they are coming back in the spring to finish that work for me.

I love them. The professionalism of the owner who came to my home to do the estimate really stood out to me. Absolutely go with this company. The quality from the phone call to the end product were great.

The project went relatively smoothly. The house looks very good. Mistakes were corrected in a timely fashion.

I almost hired a company for $12000, but I decided to keep looking. I finally settled on this company. There were three estimates higher than this company's estimate. They did an outstanding job. They corresponded with my vision. They worked with me on redoing the color of the paint.
