Superb !!! Sears repair had scheduled an appointment for 10 days in the future. We did not want to wait. I called crest Appliance and talked with Gilbert. After I described in detail what I was seeing he was pretty confident in the diagnosis and we set a repair schedule for a couple hours in the future. Gilbert showed up actually a bit earlier than scheduled (fine by me !), he had the part, and completed the repair and tested the operation. Very friendly and service with a smile. A definite keeper for any future repair needs.

He pulled out the motor in the washing machine. He fix one part of it and guaranteed it would work. He said that if he replaced it, it would be over $300. I feel he was very honest and ethical. He said he would come back out if it did stop working. He came back out within two weeks for free to check it out.

The owner,Gilbert Rubin, responded to my frantic call regarding a refrigerator & freezer that quit operating correctly, all the frozen food was completely thawed out. I thought I was going to need to replace it all together. Gilbert answered my call, asked some clarifying question, which I thought was brilliant; he was trying to determine what parts may be needed to fix the unit and that he had them on the truck when he arrived to the job. He arrived as scheduled, went right to work, explained what the problem could be and what he would need to check to verify the specific issue. The end result was that the unit needed a new relay. The fix was quick, priced fairly, and he provided me several ideas how to maintain the frig. I would certainly call Gilbert for all my appliance maintenance needs ... he was great.

Spoke with Gil in the morning and he indicated he wouldn't be able to come out until Thursday (today is Tuesday), which was fine. He happened to be near our house, so he called and was able to come out today to address the issue, which was huge since I have two young kids and I really didn't want the oven door falling on them. He was able to reattach the door, but did let us know that the hinge wasn't working properly/had been compromised and it was possible that it could/would happen again. Rather than sell us on replacing the hinge, he recommended we just see how it goes and make the repair when absolutely necessary. He was very courteous, honest and we appreciated his insights. I would definitely recommend his services and would use them in the future.

Scheduled service for the day after we contacted them. Showed up on time, had the right parts and was able to diagnose and fix the problem with our dryer very quickly. Technician was professional and courteous and did a great job.

He was very helpful and tried to figure out if it makes sence to come over, or if the machine is broken. I decided to have him over and he dws able to fix the machine. Very professional and very kind! I can highly recommend them.

We had a fantastic experience with Gilbert Rubin! Our refrigerator started getting warmer over several days and we noticed that the food was beginning to smell. I checked the temperature inside the fridge in various spots and found that it was around 50-60 degrees F. We made sure the vents were clear inside the fridge, but still no improvement. The food was spoiling and we needed to get the fridge taken care of quickly. Crest Appliance Repair was one of the companies that our real estate agent recommended for large appliance repair. After seeing all the positive reviews on Angie's List I decided to give them a call. It was on a Friday afternoon around 4pm. Gilbert Rubin, the owner of the company answered the phone and was very kind. I could tell we were in good hands. He asked some questions to begin diagnosing the problem (such as the brand of the fridge, problem it was having, etc.). He asked me to text him the model number so that he could do a little research. He made an appointment to come fix the fridge the next morning around 10am. He showed up right on time. Since he had asked for the model number ahead of time he had all the parts he needed with him. As he worked he explained how the refrigerator and freezer are connected in the cooling process so that we could understand the problem. He needed to access the back of the freezer to defrost some ice build up before he could get to the part that needed replacing. He asked for a container to put all the food into and took out all the freezer food himself and then suggested we cover the food with a blanket to keep everything frozen. He also asked for some extra towels to put on the floor to make sure that he didn't get our wood floor wet. He used a handy steam gun to defrost the ice and check for airflow into the fridge to make sure that the lines were all open. He then replaced an electronic part that was the original cause of the problem. The needed part was not cheap (several hundred dollars), and he took the time to show me the cost of the part online on his IPAD so that I would understand where most of the cost of the repair was coming from. Gilbert was very considerate and professional. One of the most impressive things to me was that he called back that evening to see if the fridge was running alright. I was concerned because the fridge was still not all the way down to its proper temperature by the evening. But he reassured me that this was normal. Some fridges take more time than others and he said to give it a little more time and wait overnight and see how the fridge was in the morning. The next morning, Sunday, he called back once again to see how the fridge was doing. He was right. By that morning the fridge was down to its 37 degrees and working just fine. I was SO impressed that he took the time to call back twice! He provided the same kind of care that a good doctor would with a patient. I have never had a repairman call back to make sure everything was ok before. What a great experience! I will be keeping his card and would not hesitate to call him back for any other large appliance repair.

Gil of Crest Appliance did a great job! I called him initially and described the problem with my refrigerator. The wall between the freezer and refrigerator was hot to the touch. My husband and I figured it was only a matter of time before the fridge stopped working completely. I called Gil (whom I have used in the past for washer & dryer repairs - with great success) to explain the problem with my refrigerator. He walked me through some trouble shooting over the phone which seemed to fix the problem - but ultimately the wall became hot again. When I called back - Gil made time that day to come out and look at the refrigerator. He diagnosed the problem as a bad fan motor. He replaced the fan motor and the issue was resolved. The price was very reasonable given the repair which meant going into the back of the refrigerator and maneuvering through tight spaces. I highly recommend Crest Appliance Repair! We have used them on at least 3 different occasions and were very happy with the results each time.

My refrigerator stopped working. 4PM I called Crest Appliance Mr. Gilroy Rubin. He diagnosed the likely problem over the phone - a circuit board - had the part available part, and braved Baltimore MD rush hour traffic to come to my house. His diagnoses was correct, and in about an hour my refrigerator was fixed and running. He was extremely knowledge, prompt, explained a lot about my refrigerator as he fixed it, was polite, well organized, and the price was very reasonable. That it was all fixed 2 hours after I called him, and my food was saved, was marvelous. He is my appliance repairman from now on.

I am VERY pleased, due to MANY things. First, I called at 7:15, and he answered - his hours dont even start till 7:30. I got an appointment on the same day (a Monday) at 10:30AM! I explained what we were seeing over the phone, and he was intuitive enough to bring a few parts that he believed might be the culprit. He was very professional through the entire experience. He explained everything to me as he was repairing the freezer, and even replaced a component that commonly caused problems, at no additional charge. We are moving soon, and I am VERY happy to see that he provides services in the area we will be moving. I would not hesitate to contact him again in the future! (I am very sad that I cannot remember his name!!!!)

First I must say that there should be more people in the world like Gilbert! He helped me determine that the problem was in the recent installation of my garbage disposal, which had broken and needed replaced. When it was installed last week the handyman apparently forgot to remove the plug which allows the dishwasher water to drain. That's why there was dirty dishwater sitting in the bottom of my dishwasher. Gilbert explained how to get the plug out. Once I did that, I ran the dishwasher and it was completely fine. Gilbert not only saved me from unnecessarily replacing my dishwasher (and I love this dishwasher), he spent about a half hour on the phone with me to help me resolve it instead of coming out, which would have cost me a service call. He doesn't even service dishwashers typically. His company usually services large appliances like refrigerators and washers/dryers. Still, he took the time to help me because apparently he enjoys helping people and is just that kind of guy. Thank you, Gilbert, and I will definitely call your company when I need repairs to any of my large appliances!

Our washer broke last Monday night. My husband tried contacting another provider listed here. It took him awhile to get a response from them. I had to leave work yesterday just to get info they needed to determine if they could help us, as they said they'd come out today (June 18). We could not get a hold of them, even though their page said they would still be open. They called the next day saying they couldn't come out as they didn't have the part needed to fix our machine. This was AFTER I called in at work expecting they'd come out. So I called Crest. It was night and day: I explained the problem, have info on our machine, and they were able to come out not three hours after I called them. They arrived 15 hours earlier than promised, and fixed our machine within 30 mins. He already had the part that needed to be replaced; apparently he had a decent supply of them in his truck as it's commonly used among various washers, and is usually the part that needs replacing. He was quick, professional and affordable. I feel so strongly about this I'm posting this review now. Me posting any review usually takes forever unless I had a bad experience. This one was fantastic.

the provider was very knowledgeable and polite. I wish I would have known about him prior to my other repairs that I needed.

Our oven refused to light on a Friday evening, just before a holiday weekend. I called and Gil not only answered the phone at 5:10 on a Friday, but was at my house to repair the oven at 9:30 on Saturday morning. 30 minutes later the oven worked well, and our weekend was saved! We really appreciate his prompt service.

I called Gil to see about trying to repair our broken refridgerator. He was very knowledgable and gave me an honest assessment of my situation based on his experience with this make of refridgerator. He recommended we not waste our money trying to professionally repair it. He even told me how to make a "do it yourself" repair to tide us over until we have a chance to replace it. I will definitely call him the next time any of our appliances break down.

I called Gil late on Friday because our dryer stopped heating. We talked briefly on the phone to help narrow the issues so he would bring the necessary equipment, and he promised to be at my house the next morning--a Saturday-- at 10.30. I had called another repair service, but after talking to Gil I called them back and told them nevermind. Gil showed up the following morning exactly at 10.30 and got to work immediately. Ten minutes later he had diagnosed the problem, and fifteen minutes after that, he was finished and the dryer was as good as new. I WILL use Crest again, and I will ask for Gil. Great job all around...

Gil is the nicest, most honest repairman you will ever meet. He is in this business for all the right reasons. He asks the right questions, give honest, fair and upfront estimates and has called and emailed me numerous times to make sure I was happy with his service and my decision regarding my appliance repair. I would not hesitate to call him in the future. Extremely prompt, professional and courteous.

I contacted company via Angie's list and had immediate response the next morning and we scheduled the appointment for the next day. Service was very professional and he quickly identified the issue and fixed my washing machine. I would strongly recommend this company.

I received a response within 5 minutes, even when calling after hours. He scheduled an appointment for the next day, which is rare these days. When we spoke on the phone, he gathered a lot of details, and came prepared to do the job in its entirety. The day after the repair, he called to check on the results. This sort of accountability is hard to find these days, and is greatly appreciated.

I contacted them via Angie's List and received a very quick response. I then spoke to Gil on the phone and answered specific questions about the problem I was having with my oven including the make and model and which part of the oven had the problem. He was able to come out on the same day I contacted him. He tested the parts and saw that the igniter for the bake part was not working. He replaced the part in a matter of minutes and my oven was back in business! I would definitely use Crest Appliance Repair again and would recommend them to friends needing appliance repair in the greater Baltimore area.

Mr. Rubin arrived on schedule and performed a thorough check of the refrigerator. He was very good in explaining exactly what he was doing. He determined what the problem was and performed the necessary repairs. I was pleasantly surprised when he called the next day to confirm that the repairs corrected the problem. Mr. Rubin's communication and professionalism were both excellent, and we will definitely use him for any future large appliance repairs.

I am really thankful to have spoken with Mr. Rubin and would not hesitate to contact him (and his company) and to have him service any other appliance in our household. There are not too many service providers in the area that are willing to help customers out the way Mr. Rubin did. Great experience. I contacted Mr. Rubin in the morning and he came in the early afternoon and made the repair. He explained everything he was doing and took extra time to make sure any ice that had accumulated was cleared and that refrigerator was running smoothly. He even fixed one of the lights in the freezer. I will definitely use this company in the future.

It was a perfect experience from beginning to end. My initial call was taken early today at 7:45am and I was asked to provide info on the washing machine (make, model number, age, etc) as well why/how it stopped working. Gilbert was very courteous and helpful instructing me as to where to locate the model number on the machine, etc. He knows his stuff! He also wanted to confirm the type of washing machine I had because it was an odd make/model and this allowed him to troubleshoot the problem before he actually came to our home. I liked this very much. He arrived only two hours later and was very friendly and super knowledgeable. He was also accommodating to my daughter's nap time - a wonderful perk! The issue was luckily an easy fix that did not require actual repairs so we were just charged the basic service charge. He was able to figure out the issue from the get go and gave us copious instructions as to how to fix it if it were to ever stop working again. Before he left, he looked over the main parts of our washing machine (water pump, agitator, etc) to let us know if they were in good shape. He was very open about the price of parts and honest about the condition of our washer since it came with our home. I am very pleased by the entire experience and would call upon Gilbert to help us with any other repairs. I will also tell my friends and family.

I issued email requests on Angie's List and Gil at Crest was the first to respond. I should add that the requests were sent after 9:30PM when I discovered that I was having a problem. Gil called me within 30 minutes ad we scheduled a visit for the next morning. Gil arrived early and was quick to perform the diagnostic (his work was completed within 45 minutes). Unfortunately the refrigerator is not repairable, but Gil's efforts and advice was outstanding. I would highly recommend him and will not hesitate in calling him for any future Large Appliance repair.
