 + -1 moreOn Wednesday, April 30th, our area suffered from a huge rain storm and flash floods. About 6 inches of rain fell in a short amount of time. Our two sump pumps could not keep up and two feet of water filled our basement. I called Dan Peddicord and he returned my call within an hour. He was at my house within 20 minutes. He stayed at our home trying to figure out how to get the sumps from backing up. He worked in the pouring rain until finally he found the problem. The water started to drain and it stopped pouring into the basement. We thought we were in the clear so Dan left. Then the rain started again. The water started pouring back in the house again. I called Dan for a second time. He had gone to have dinner with his family. He left the dinner immediately to return to our house and we found a second issue with the sumps. Dan spent another hour helping us until finally the water stopped pouring into our basement from the yard. Dan came back a few days later and changed out our existing sump pumps. We appreciate Dan's hard work and hanging in with us during a difficult time in our home. We will use Dan Peddicord Plumbing again. We highly recommend his services.

 + -1 moreMr. Peddicord came twice to my home to repair my faucet's stopper. The first time he brought a replacement stopper assembly because he had not seen my faucet, which because it is an American Standard faucet cannot have any parts replaced except the exact same American Standard parts. So he told me he'd be back after I had ordered and received the stopper from American Standard. I was very pleased to find the stopper under "Limited Supply" and order it at no cost. Mr. Peddicord responds quickly to phone calls and came shortly after I received the stopper. Before he finished attaching the stopper he asked me if I wanted it attached or unattached. I chose attached, but because I now live in a condo was very relieved to discover that my grody stopper is unattached. He is highly responsive, competent, and instructive.
Description of Work: He installed a new stopper and other parts for my American Standard bathroom sink faucet.

I have already recommended him to other family and friends. At one friends home, he solved a slow gas leak that even the Gas Company could not fix. Very pleased.

 + -1 moreDan was awesome. He was available to come out the day after we called, and he came bright and early, which was great for our schedule. He worked efficiently, and after he identified the problem with the toilet, he gave me a thorough explanation of the issue and what he would need to do to fix it. We had no idea that the flange and pipe were broken--we thought we had a minor leak. Despite the problem being more complicated than anticipated, he finished the work very quickly and did an excellent job. We were also very happy with his repair of the bathtub faucet. We'd been quoted a price of nearly $500 from another provider just to fix the faucet, and he fixed it for a fraction of that. In fact, he repaired the faucet and two toilets for the price we'd been quoted just to fix the faucet alone. He was also friendly and courteous throughout the visit. We could not be happier with Dan's work and will be very happy to call him again in the future.
Description of Work: Dan repaired a split flange and cracked pipe beneath our master bathroom toilet. He then reattached the toilet to the floor. He also repaired a bathtub faucet that would not turn on and adjusted another toilet in a different bathroom.

This is the first time we've ever hired a plumber and I think it's safe to say that if we need one again, we'll be calling Peddicord!

Description of Work: Our kitchen sink was backed up and PPP cleared the drain. We are really happy that we called when we did because the garbage disposal had begun rusting and leaking water. PPP showed us the problem and replaced the disposal.

When I said I could not do a Friday morning appointment and asked if Wednesday or Thursday were possible, he shifted something(s) and came out the same day within the time frame he gave. He was very friendly yet professional. He was not able to repair the kitchen faucet, which leaked at the hose, and recommended Moen, Delta and Kohler as being less expensive, very good, and easy to repair. He had just installed a Moen for another client and showed me the box, recommending I look for a faucet online to save money. A plus is that he lives nearby.
Description of Work: Repaired leaky toilet and found source of leak at kitchen sink.

Description of Work: Excellent team. They did an excellent job overall and went the extra mile. They installed new toilet, tested all plumbing throughout house for potential issues, and fixed leak at main connection,which had caused basement to flood. Dan provided commercial dryers free to clean out basement at no extra charge. I'd definitely call these guys anytime.

He does all plumbing... from small repairs to large... minor to major...(appliance installs, hot water heaters, kitchen, bath (remodel) plumbing hookup. etc.) he can do it all!!....I was so impressed with his professionalism and excellent work that I scheduled him to come back to repair a leaky shower faucet for me the following week. He checked the shower... ordered the part and when he arrived here for the second job had the part already on his truck (again, no need for a second visit (when the part arrives)....and again, I was impressed with how well organized this young man was and how good his work was!!....You just can't go wrong with this plumber!!...I just can't say enough good things... Will use again in the future and HIGHLY recommend!!!
Description of Work: Plumbing Services were excellent!....Had minor rebuild done on all 3 bathrooms....by minor, mean all toilet fill valve's, flappers and other parts replaced as water was 'running' on.... called Peddicord Plumbing...and spoke with Dan, the owner, and explained the problem over the phone. Scheduled appointment time and sure enough...the following day (no wait time for the repair).. he was here exactly on time. By having explained ahead of time... he already had the replacement parts on his truck (no need for second visit)....he came right in....put shoe covers over his shoes and went right to work....he was done in less than an hour.... all 3 bathrooms done!!....Dan, the owner, did the work himself!!... He is friendly, personable, clean and neat, honest as the day is long, efficient and does just plain 'good work'...he doesn't waste your time or his fiddling around... he just comes right in and goes straight to work after he has put his 'booties' over his shoes...which I really appreciated as he was showing 'respect' for my home . He cleaned up everything behind himself. Having worked for a larger company, he has now started his own Plumbing Company, is licensed and is a Master Plumber. He is a local here in the Olney area...and services Olney and and the greater Olney surrounding area's of Rockville, Gaithersburg and most of Montgomery County, Md. He knows his business!!....which is evident in how efficiently he works and how quickly his work is completed. His prices are reasonable..which if asked on the phone ahead of time he will tell you what his rates are (he doesn't then get to your house to do the repair and then 'jack' you up)....and he guarantee's his work!!
