Description of Work: I bought a year-round service from Triangle Home Services in August 2015 to treat carpenter ants and wasp as a deal promoted by Angie's List. They contacted me quickly for the first treatment. The ants disappeared and winter came. This Spring I saw them again and they had done some damage to my house. I had to call Triangle again for service. Although they responded quickly and the work they did were satisfactory but I am a little disappointed at the fact that I had to call for a year-round service. I had expected they will come to treat the house regularly instead of waiting for the house owner to notice the problem to appear and call them. So far I have called them only twice but what I paid was the same as two single treatments. So I don't see this as a good deal.

Description of Work: Tanner Fogel came initially in late Dec 2015 or early Jan 2016 and checked out the house for the mice infestation inside the house and rats outside the house and prescribed a quote of $625.00 plus $59 a month. I had then called back and mentioned an Angie's List $340 coupon for quarterly inspection and I said that I would pay for additional monthly inspections if needed. Alex came out in early January, but instead of doing what Tanner and I said was necessary, he didn't put any spring traps outside traps and he put a few glue traps inside even though I wanted spring traps. He failed to seal all the entrances that the mice were using to get into the house. Shortly after this, I called to explain that the job wasn't done properly, and they told me that he was no longer with the company so a temporary receptionist said that clearly if I could hear mice running in walls so that something has to be done so she put me on a more frequent schedule so she sent me Rick. He was competent. He put spring traps all over the place and put heavy duty snap traps outside for the rats. Within 5 minutes of him leaving the house, I could hear traps going off. He was supposed to come out again in early February. I later found out that Triangle had let go of Rick. Another person was sent out, but he wasn't competent either so I finally started setting traps myself. I bought traps, set them, and emptied them myself. I must have caught a dozen mice and at least half a dozen rats. The bait boxes they set only killed about 3 rats. I wanted more progress to be made faster. I called Triangle again, explained that the rats were stealing bait and kicking dirt over the boxes and the rats were no longer being killed. Phil called me back and told me that we needed to put powder in the tunnels to kill them. The next person that came out, Zane, had no idea bout what Phil said. He simply re-baited the traps and bait boxes. He said he would find out about the powder from Phil and come back out but no one has come back or contacted me. There seems to be extremely poor communication within Triangle and it is frustrating having to call the office.

Description of Work: We had $99 special for pest inspection after finding mice in the basement. After Tony came out and inspected, he found the source of entry by the outside dryer vent. He also found evidence of mice in the attic. Triangle put wire covers over the vents to prevent mice entry. We chose to have the attic reinsulated, also. There were unsealed entry points in the attic, as well. The company set out bait traps that will be monitored for a year. Since the vents were covered, bait traps were put in place and the attic was reinsulated, no more mice and the upstairs temperatures are better maintained. We were suspicious the attic was not well insulated anyway, as the upstairs temperature was very difficult to maintain in extreme cold and hot weather. After learning of the unsealed areas in the attic and having higher quality insulation installed, we have noticed a difference in having more consistent temperatures upstairs. Overall, we are glad that we invested in reinsulating the attic. Triangle was very prompt in servicing our needs, and the men who reinsulated were very professional, neat, courteous, and we would recommend them.

Description of Work: They performed a quarterly pest control treatment. The company has done a good job for us. We've been using them for about 2 years and they are thorough and responsive. It is a family owned business so it is not uncommon to hear from the owner personally. Once I was misbilled and sent an email about it on a Saturday afternoon to the accounting department, and got an email back from the President on Saturday night with his personal apology. Very responsive!

Description of Work: Purchased Big Deal for preventative insect treatment & sealant. Also purchased complete package to spray entire exterior base and inside. Very professional & personable employees. Was notified at time of first treatment that technician would be an hour late due to traffic. My second appointment was also late and way past window of time (technician didn't receive message from office about appointment). Hoeever, he came immediately that night when he received message. Second treatment involved spraying behind cabinets and pulling dishwasher away from counter to spray for entry point of ants. Next morning though, water had come through ceiling into room below & all over floor because the hose had disconnected when dishwasher was pulled out...thus it drained onto floor. Repairmen were sent out to re attach hose and check for water damage in ceiling. Albeit, I was pleased at the courteous & professional techs and the treatment to eliminate box elder bugs & ants. I would recommend & use their services again.
