Everything went very well! I have used this company before this experience and that is why I have continued to use them. This company told me about Angie's List and that is the reason I joined. The work that was done last time was so good, that I recommended him to some of my neighbors for work.

The contractor arrived early and provided quality service. The technician was knowledgeable of the task to be performed and I was very satisfied with the work.

My service went really well. The owner, contacted me quickly to set up my appointment, and asked what I would like done during my appointment, easy enough. The day of the appointment, the Handyman arrived on time, and wore his booties inside the house. He presented me with a really nice folder with my invoice inside. They also included a flyer with all of the other services they perform. They seem very handy. Our handyman was very friendly and worked diligently. He used a drop cloth and left no mess. He did a really great job.

Very professional and responsive. Repaired ceiling fan plate that fell off after initial installation. One year warranty on all work! Very pleased with service.

I had a different handyman service diagnose my faucet that was not providing cold water. He was not able to make the repair so I purchased a new faucet and called Mr. Handyman. They were able to send out a technician the next day. I gave the receptionist specific directions as sometimes my house is hard to find. She apparently did not pass on the directions as the technician had to call me for directions. He did arrive but included the time he spent looking for the house in the charges. They also charged me over $9.00 for plumbers putty. The faucet is replaced and works properly but I feel a littled ripped off. I would probably not call them again.

Ken arrived on time, but he didn't have any description on what the job involved. We had kept paperwork from Jim. Ken understood what this would involve. Company gave us credit as it took Ken 1 hour to get the supplies he needed--refer to our input dates 6/25/13 and 6/26/13. Job was done very professionally!

The installation went well. Once fan was up, we realized it was defective. He had to take it back down and ibhad to reorder another fan. They offered a discount on the installation of the new fan once it arrived.

I had called the company to set up an appointment. They were very polite but unresponsive to my calls. I never received a call back so I went with a different company.

Excellent work. Service was on time, professional, friendly and went above and beyond by making helpful suggestions! I will definitely be using them again.

Jim was very professional in explaining what the problem was with our dryer not venting correctly outside. Clothes were not getting dry. Explained that the vent from the dryer goes out through the drop ceiling to the outside. Needs major work including having finished drywall removed, I believe about 2' wide from the floor to the ceiling. Need to install 4" metal duct after removing flex line in wall. Also, 2 metal elbows 4" After his work, he went outside to check the venting--no change on output. We do need to think about the charge per hour versus a "job" price but appreciated his input ! We're still a bit afraid to use the dryer as the situation might cause a fire. I asked him about this. He could not say--appreciated his honesty!!!

The service went well. It was convenient to purchase the deal through Angie's List.

Update on my review on 6-6-13 There was a communication problem with the phone messages that we have since cleared up. We are going to hire them for various jobs that need to be done. They have responded immediately and cleared up the issue.

I am very happy with the workmanship of the technicians that I have worked with from this company as this is the second time I have used Mr. Handyman. Yesterday, the technician was prompt and spent a few minutes reviewing what the requested repairs were before getting started. I did have the door and paint that he needed on hand so that he did not have to spend time picking up those items. He had the necessary tools to paint and hang the doors. I checked online for coupons and found one for $30.00 for 2 hours of work so that gave me a bit of savings. It took him about 3 hours to complete the job as it took time for the 2 coats of paint applied to the doors to dry.

The service technician was on time and extremely polite and professional. He took great care to make sure the work area and the rest of the house remained clean. He looked at the work that needed to be done and got the appropriate parts to complete the job from the local hardware store. The service was completed efficiently within the estimated time. I would use this company again for future handyman needs.

I called them to get an estimate on having repair work done on my roof deck. I was told that they would send someone to power wash the deck before giving me an estimate. Based on the reviews in Angie's List, I agreed. A guy came to power wash the deck and to get the info for the repair estimate. Two weeks have passed, but I have never received a call regarding the estimate. I have also called Mr Handyman to get an update...my calls were never returned. I REALLY regret agreeing to the power wash; it was obviously just a ploy to get $265 without any follow through on their part.

Their service rep came the same day as my inquiry to the company. He was polite and professional. However, the company president (CP) whom I later dealt with was uninformed regarding the part of the project that involves removing a window and installing a door in its place. The window is in a load-bearing, concrete block exterior wall. The CP believed - presumably based on his service rep's initial measurements - that the existing window lintel was too low to accommodate the proposed door. According to the CP the installation of a new, higher lintel was beyond the scope of his company's services. Had the measurements the CP relied on been accurate I would have agreed; however they aren't. The simple proof of this is that just a few feet away, on the same wall, are a set of exterior doors under a lintel the exact same height as the one over the window. Unfortunately the CP simply would not accept my advice to this effect. He discounted the measurements I provided as inaccurate; and rebuffed my suggestion his service rep come back and re-measure ( how hard would that have been, really?). While I do appreciate his recommendation of another company to handle the window/door part of the project, I had to ASK him for it - and this after he initially declined the entire renovation project based on just the presumed lintel problem. What put me off the most was his total lack of interest in simply ASKING QUESTIONS as opposed to making confident statements over the internet. I am naturally inclined to give my business to a company that will involve and respect the customer. Part of that process is asking questions rather than running with ( and sticking with) assumptions. While this company may do excellent work, unfortunately in my case I found their CP's "people skills" extremely lacking.

He did what I requested and suggested painting the pillars too. All within the set time frame I paid for.

We have no complaints. Very smooth job.

Jim did an excellent job. He helped to finish a job that another handyman service failed to complete and was out of scope of Mr. Handyman's normal services. He then fixed a leak in the shower that turned out to be a bad diverter, which was much more involved than the simple leaky faucet that we initially believed it to be. Jim spent the entire day here into the late evening to finish everything and only took a 30 minute break out of the 13+ hours that he spent working at my home.

It was fine. I liked him and it was a very good experience.

It is a good company but it’s expensive. He was responsive and on time. The guy who came may be he did not work fast enough for my taste but he was very attentive, so I had no complains on him. It was just that it cost a lot of money when we saw the bill. He fixed the leak under the faucet very nicely and we never had a problem again. He was very good.

I contacted Mr. Handyman and described the work needed. The office staff answered my call promptly and were attentive, courteous, and professional. They asked appropriate questions to determine exactly what was required and discussed various options for time and labor with me. I had a clear understanding of the cost of the work prior to engaging the company for their services, and that payment would be expected at the completion of the job to the field employee assigned to do it. The day prior to the work, office staff contacted me to confirm the job appointment and told me the name of the person who would be arriving to do the work. The Mr. Handyman employee arrived on time in a company marked vehicle. He was polite and professional and grasped what needed to be done without problem. He brought all needed equipment and worked in a safe and responsible manner when getting onto the roof and standing there. The job was accomplished in the allocated time and I was pleased with the result. I was very pleased with my experience with this company and would definitely hire them again.

Everything was completed quickly and professionally.
