Mr. Handyman of Anne Arundel and PG County

Their handyman was extremely skilled, professional. Hired for a set time frame, he finished much more quickly than I thought, and made extremely helpful suggestions on where he could help for the rest of the time. He kept himself busy right up to the full amount of time and set us up well for being able to build off of what he started.

He did great work on that and was timely. He focused on his work. He takes great pride on their work. Their first hour rate is a little bit high.

It took him a while to do the job especially in repairing the shutter and he charged by the hour. He was quick to respond when I called for the service. But it took him two weeks to get the new shutter done, I think it took him time to order a new one. When he came back to install it, it was a new payment. But the guy did a good job and I will give him an ?A? for that, he was punctual.

The service went okay. We had them replace a window with plywood and insulation. They also framed and caulked the area. One technician came out and completed the job in the 4 hour time frame we purchased. My husband worked with the technician and felt like he had to keep on him to get the job done. It seemed to be difficult to get across what you wanted. He also did a sloppy job. I had no problem scheduling the deal.

Contacted quickly by Ms Leigh from Mr Handyman who set up the work around my schedule. I made sure she knew that my condo was on the 3rd floor, which said wasn't a problem. The work day turned out to be snowy and icy. The team reached out in a timely manner to let me know they MIGHT be late, which was appreciated. The team was friendly, professional and did a great job, patiently working with me to get the mounting height "just right". They got all the work done in time and cleaned up after themselves. Will absolutely use them again.

So far - so good. We had a minor shower leak. Had Mr Handyman repair some possible areas, We will see if he stopped the problem. Watch the billing. Arrived at 0840am.... Charged me from 0820.

The two providers arrived on time and they were all about efficiency. They were personable and didn't even stop for lunch. They worked for about 10 hours straight.

The contractor arrived exactly on time and started work immediately after being given a description of the work that needed to be done. The original schedule was to complete in one day, but due to a unforeseen problem (not attributable to the contractor), a second day was required. After completing the work, the contractor cleaned up the work area and disposed of all the scrap material. The quality of work was very good and were general pleased with the outcome.

It was fine. They were competent and friendly, came out shortly and there were no issues.

In at 11:50 am, left at 1:26 pm. Had to write another check for $210 and canceled the initial coupon of $398. Closet track spring that was fixed fell off after the technician had left. Notified the owner of the business immediately by phone and was informed that the problem will be addressed and fixed in future appointments. Angie's List requested refund of $398 on 11/18/2014.

He inspected the job and stated to cancel it.

Living in a older home, we joking referred to the remodeling of my master bath as the "Money Pit". At every turn, we encountered plumbing, electrical and structural issues as well as a few design changes I made along the way. The technician from The Handyman was very knowledgeable and found solutions to all of them. The remodel was done on time, on budget and to my satisfaction. This old house is full of projects and I will be calling upon The Handyman for each new project. THANKS KEN AND KEVIN FOR A JOB WELL DONE!

Everything went well the process took two days. We scheduled the days and time and the service technicians arrived on time and did the work in a timely and professional manner. I asked what supplies and material I would need and they were helpful in giving me that information and advice on what I should get and what they would bring. As a female I was please that I was treated like I knew and/or understood the repairs needed. I will definitely use them for other jobs in the near future.

The bedroom drywall repair portion was straightforward enough. The bathroom repair was not. When we bought our house, it had a Jacuzzi tub in a basement bathroom that was in a cramped space & installed too high to be usable. Since then, we've had to disassemble it in the course of other basement work. We asked Mr. Handyman to reassemble it at the standard floor height. It seemed straightforward at first, but apparently it would run into many more hours of labor/cost, more than double the initial estimate. Had we realized this, we would have decided to simply remove the tub since it was A) unusable at the original height and B) exorbitant to adjust to a lower height. However, the tech did not communicate the increased scope and proceeded to work for an hour & a half on reassembling it (to the original height). I wrote them an email explaining why I did not want them to return to finish the work. I did not ask for a response, but nonetheless, the company president (Kevin) contacted me, arranged to meet at our house, and acknowledged that they should have (and usually do) communicate when the job is beyond the scope of the initial estimate. Kevin graciously offered to "comp" us the hour and a half of labor toward removing the tub, capping off the plumbing & drain fixtures, etc. A different tech came to complete this work, and he was very conscientious about communicating the tasks & time needed. Based on the first visit, I was very unhappy & ready give them a bad rating. But they were very responsive and accommodating, and they worked hard to set things right with us. In the end, I was very happy with the quality of their work. I realize that mistakes happen from time to time. The way they resolved it was excellent.

It went very well. We were able to schedule a date for right after I called. The first time they came out to do the work, they said there was too much stuff in the basement to work around, unless we wanted to pay them for several hours of moving basement junk around. We didn't get charged for them coming out and not being able to work, rather It counted as an on-site estimate. This forced us to finally clear out the basement, which was a real bonus. We were able to schedule another date as soon as we got the basement cleaned out. They showed up exactly on time, got right to work and finished up within four hours, which was what they estimated it would take. They left everything clean and tidy.

The provider was extremely professional, showed up on time and ready to work. He provided suggestions on some of our to-do list items that saved us money and time. The work was excellent a huge improvement! I highly recommend Mr. Handyman and will definitely use them in the future.

Mr. Handyman exceeded all of my expectations. The technician was professional and thorough. One of the jobs required additional parts. The technician went out of his way to acquire the extra parts and install them. I highly recommend Mr. Handyman and will use them again.

My kitchen faucet could not be repaired so I had Mr Handyman replace it. Also my front door was constantly sticking and coming off it's hinges so - Mr Handyman (Jim) took the door off it's hinges and removed the wood lining the bottom that had become rotten. He scraped it and replaced it with new wood. Then installed weather stripping and new screws for the hinges. Now - it works perfect. Their people always do a good job and I'm never disappointed.

Everything was great. John did a terrific job and finished many more projects than I expected. While he was waiting for the repair to dry, he even offered to caulk the windows. I was very pleased. I only wish the price charged was a little more reasonable so I could have work done more often.

Mr. Handyman of AA & NE PG did a wonderful and professional job as usual. I have used this company several times for a variety of projects and I have always been very pleased with their work. I highly recommend this company.

I called Mr. Handyman based on positive Angie's List reviews. We needed some drywall work done. The receptionist told me that I would have to pay $158 up front for the privilege of an estimate. This seemed to be an unusual demand (I have never once paid for an estimate in all the times I have done business with repair services of any kind, and there have been many) and also a bit of a hard sell (they promised to apply the $158 towards my total bill if we selected them to do the work). The receptionist was very pleasant and professional in her conversation with me, but I chose not to hire this company because of the demand for payment for just getting an estimate.

The overall experience was very good. The handyman was on time, professional, and courteous. He did all of the tasks that I asked him to do with time left over. We purchased a 4 hour package from Angie's list. While the quality of work was good, I feel like the prices are too high.

He was on time, professional and did a good job for me. I would highly recommend him to others.

My husband said it was Kevin who originally came out and there was another person who came out to do the estimate. My husband wrote a letter to the company because the other person they sent out was absolutely wonderful but said that there was no way it could be done in eight hours and it ended up costing us a 150% more than we thought we were going to and took us two days and he could not do it in two consecutive days instead he had to so it a week apart. So that was our only problem but other than that he did a great job and he was very nice. I don’t know the exact amount that we paid. All I know is that my husband was upset because first all we had started out that we would purchase the materials and my husband all these materials. Then the other person showed up and like I said he was not able to do it all in 8 hours and he also said that the materials were not the right ones. So that was kind of a pain but he was nice about it. My husband just gave him the wood. He did a great job, it was all good. He was a real nice person. He was great.
