Good sales visit & assessment of existing gutter system. My home has smaller gutters, but given the roof layout and area, sales rep deemed existing gutters & downspouts adequate. It has proven to be the case. Other companies recommended an up sale on the gutter size. Installation done as scheduled in one day. Highly recommend you avail yourself of the included servicing feature. I went a few years and the pollen buildup on nose of the system needed power washing at my cost. Since then I schedule them to come out in June & November to check the system which includes verifying clear gutters, drains, & brushing off the nose. Haven't gone up on the roof for gutter issues in seven years - use to be an every month occurrence from March until October. House surrounded by birch, dogwood, & oak trees.

Sincerely wanted to purchase product that would protect my gutters. I live on a property with many, many trees. Was willing to make a purchase from the salesman, until I realized that the perfect warrantee is not something that they will even show you unless you ask to see it. When you read it, you can see that it doesn't cover anything actually. If they were truly proud of their warranty, they would show that to you first. Did not purchase.

Work performed exactly as promised. No hitches whatsoever.

We have -- and have been pleased with -- "Gutter Helmet" protection on our gutters. When we were getting prices for a new roof, we learned that there was a significant charge to remove and replace them with a roof replacement. We decided that since we were pleased with the gutter system that the company would handle the roofing with the same professionalism we would contract Gutter Helmet to replace the roof. Unfortunately, after the estimate was provided to us, there was a long delay in scheduling the work. When the work started, the workers covered the outside AC compressor which would have killed it if we hadn't noticed that it was covered. The roofers were rather careless in dumping old shingles from the roof, and killed several plants in our garden. (One supervisor brought a hydrangea as a peace offering and a replacement, however.) It took multiple calls for the extra material to be picked up from our parking pad. And one section needed repair (which was done) almost immediately. A response sent to the president of the company was never forthcoming. The gutter protection is highly recommended; however, the roofing is not recommended at all.

They showed up and did the work quickly, under 3 hours, which was great. I went out to look at the work after they were finished, and they installed the gutters perfectly level. In some places the water was flowing backwards. They sent the same two guys that installed the gutters to fix it, and the guys did not understand what the problem was. I have contacted the company multiple times, and finally another worker to come out. He showed up with no tools or ladder. They have since been back since to fix the issue. It has rained a couple times here, and the gutters are not draining properly and are constantly washing out my flower beds. I have never received any paperwork for the lifetime warranty that was supposed to come with the gutters. I have spoke the the president of the company, and he has failed to call me back multiple times.

All is well, they did a very good job.

This is a super gutter system, but we live in the woods, so every two years or so, the gutters pick up fine pine needles, etc., and require cleaning. The purchase contract stipulates lifetime complementary cleaning service, and twice they have done just that in a thoroughly professional manner. For this instance, the firm sent out an inspector initially. Frankly, I was concerned this might be some sort of marketing call, but the young individual (Matt) arrived on time and did just what was promised, an inspection. A few days later, the firm scheduled the clean-out crew. The gentleman called ahead as promised, arrived on time, and expeditiously completed the cleaning. We asked him to look for loose siding or dounspouts while on the roof, and he cheerfully did so. In short, this company is meticulously honoring the agreement.

Excellent job by the crew on a very hot 100 degree day. I was very pleased and the gutter helmets have worked great for almost 2 years now.

Order went smoothly. I had to change the color, but the day of installation the installer had the wrong color. He was able to get the correct color and install in the time frame agreed upon. So all and all was impressed. The individual who came was very professional and job was done on time.

Summary: Their internal office communications is disjointed and disorganized and their total lack of client concerns at the executive level are painfully apparent. I hope this review of GutterHelmet installed by HarryHelmet saves someone else the frustration I have had for the past 4 months. I purchased front and back GutterHelmet guards for my house and a front gutter and guard for my garage from HarryHelmet (http://www.harryhelmet.com) and had them installed in November 2014. After several rescheduled installation dates, the installation occurred and everything looked good. When the first rain came, I noticed leaking between the gutter and the garage. This was not coming down the outside of the gutter but between the garage and the gutter. I looked at the install and noticed the guards were sloped back toward the garage allowing water to pool and drain between the garage and gutter instead of away from the garage. During this time I received an invoice for the remaining amount owed so I called support and said that I could pay the remaining balance when the issue was fixed. I informed the support person of my findings with the guards. A team was sent out (1-2 weeks from reported issue) and they ?adjusted? the gutter guards. When it rained next, I noticed the same issue. I did not immediately report this as it was in the dead of winter with sub-freezing temps. I again received a call from Harry Helmet about the outstanding balance and again said I was still having the issue but would be more than happy to pay the balance when they fixed the issue. This seemed to be ok with support and they scheduled someone to come out and fix the issue (again? 2 weeks from collections phone call). Late Friday afternoon before the scheduled Monday service appointment to try to correct the ongoing issues, I received an email from the controller of ?Gutter Helmet Systems? saying that I was ?seriously past due? and ?Failure to pay this amount will result in a LIEN being placed on the property for non payment.? As it was after hours when I received the email, I called Monday (The day of my service appointment) and talked with the controller who informed me it did not matter what support said? it?s in the contract that I need to pay. I explained that I would have paid sooner but support indicated that it was ok for me not to pay until the issue was resolved. After it was explained to me that this was not the case, I promptly paid the amount in full via credit card. During our communications I asked if the president of the company could call me. I was informed that he was told of my request to talk with him and that he would NOT be calling me. The technician came out and reviewed the issue and mentioned that they would need to come out for what could be a full day to reinstall the gutter and guards to correct the issue. As of this review? the issue still exists. The lack of client concern by the executive team, the inability to escalate to someone higher in the company and obvious breakdown in departmental communications have solidified my decision to NOT move forward with further solutions through this company. Hind sight is 20-20? don?t make the same mistake I did.

They are very good at installing on roofs that has a high or difficult configuration. We have a very high pitched roof and we have never had an issue. It occasionally needs adjustments after a storm or severe weather change. They are responsive, but they often have a back-up. With calling them for maintenance, you may have to ask for a quality manager to come out. I have also had occasional billing problems, but they have always been taken care of. I have still been very satisfied with their product. We have never had to get leaves out of our gutters again. Their components are very high quality and are built to last. The product is excellent!

April 2014 I had been having leaking issues in the back of my house. Gutter Helmet (GH) stated that due to the age of the roof, replacement (including new shingles, the latest and greatest sealing and new boards to replace the rotted ones in the roof) would solve my problems. So I invested the money to have them do so. When GH, showed to begin and finish the work, they were prompt and did what appeared to be a good job. One week later, a tree crashed into my skylight and I contacted GH regarding a replacement. One of the gentleman stated that he would determine the cost, and come out to cover the skylight (1 day later). I ended up calling the fire department to cover up the skylight that day (rain had been predicted). After about 3 days of no roof in my bedroom, I contacted another contractor to complete the work and never received the expected follow up by GH. October 2014 I was getting my insulation redone, the inspector informed me that there were 2 boards that were rotted and needed to be replaced. He assumed, based on the amount of work, and precarious location (around the chimney), that the roofers may not have wanted to replace them. February 2015 (Note: Roof trouble, not even a year has passed) The same leak for which I requested GH fix is still here. After over $3k of work, you would think it'd be rectified, but it's not. I am still in the process of trying to get it fixed. I will say they were prompt, this time, to respond back. However, given this was a problem I paid to have fixed, I would expect nothing less. To be continued . . . May 2015 Between February and May, Gutter Helmet has been in communication with me to resolve the issue. They sent their roofing specialist out who ascertained that the issue was not due to the roofing, but the flashing. Despite the issue being unrelated to the roof that they installed, they agreed to fix the issue and as far as I can tell, they have. The roof is fine, no leaks have been attributed to it. Overall, I appreciated their follow through and their willingness to fix the issue regarding the leak even though it was not related to the roof they installed.

I received bids from three or four providers. I visited other nearby homes with Gutter Helmets and talked with the owners about their experience. I selected Gutter Helmet for their price and the nature of their product. They came when promised and finished the project on-time. We are very pleased with the results.

They did what they said they would do. The jury is still out as to whether or not the product works! It was more expensive than we expected, but it will be worth it if it works.

Salesman came by to provide an estimate. He went through a long product description, explaining the history, science, and how many reputable institutions, mansions and "upper class clientele" use their product. He then put in front of me a the work order to proceed. Well, I never buy on the spot and asked if a 25% discount, which I got at an open market, would still apply after this initial consultation, and I was told no. So basically I got pressured to buy their product now or pay an additional 2K later, and this immediately turned me off and made me lose faith in this company. If their product is so good, they shouldn't have to pressure the customer to buy on the spot. Do your research, there are other companies with similar quality products without the nonsense. I am currently looking at Mastershield

Perfectly! The installer was punctual, worked quietly and efficiently to install the helmets. on how He explained everything he was doing--before, during and after the process. He gave me--verbally and in writing--helpful hints on how to get the best use of the product. The installation was just-in-time because it rained the next day and the product worked perfectly! I couldn't have been more pleased.

The installation was scheduled quickly and we did not need to be home. Just like magic, the gutter helmet team came when we were at work and left no trace except beautiful (and practically invisible) helmets! Not a trickle since, even during very heavy storms.

They were excellent all the way through, from setting up the appointment to discussing the project, to the final installation. The gutter caps are great! They color-match my gutters perfectly. In fact, from the ground they are not even noticeable. Equally important, I feel sure I'll never have to do anything again maintenance-wise on those two previously problematic segments of gutter, since their product comes with a lifetime guarantee.

Gutter Helmet was very responsive and efficient. There was a scheduling mix up, but it meant that they came two days early. We are happy with the results so far having seen a few storms pass through. Overall it was a good experience.

They did a good job with the work. It took them a little while to get to my job, but they were able to do the work without me being at home.

Have had the Gutter Helmet system for 7 years and love it. The way our roof is done, a ton of water would come over a very small part of our front porch and over our garage. Asked Harry Helmet if they could tie-in the gutters that were emptying onto the roof over the porch and garage because it was just too much water coming too fast - nothing could stop it during a pouring rain from rolling off the roof. They came out and for a very cheap price did all the work, and now we no longer have any problems at all. They did a fantastic job!

Excellent. They showed up on time (07:00) stripped off the old shingles, installed the new felt and shingles and made repairs - replaced decking that had been installed incorrectly and built a new cricket for the chimney. Everyone was wonderful! Labi, the crew leader, was extremely helpful, cooperative and considerate. The clean up was amazingly thorough - in the days following the work we found six nails in the flowerbeds and on the patio. Nothing else! We have a complex roof with lots of valleys and a peaked octagonol entryway. They worked furiously and finished up before dark (about 7:30) We are very hppy with our decision to choose Gutter Helmet (Lednor Corp). It is very attractive and we have the peace of mind in knowing that this roof is solid and strong, not to mention a killer warranty.

Gutter helmet had installed two other parts of my gutters on my house in 2010 and in 2012 with no issues and now I contacted my salesman on 3/15/2014 to complete the third and final part of my gutter system. We had a late winter and I figured the company got backed up so I didn't expect they would be out anytime soon. But when it became May, I made some phone calls to my salesman and not hearing from personally from him, Gutter Helmet finally came out on 3/30/2014 to install my gutter. When I got home that day they had left me a note saying they couldn't install the gutter because they had the wrong measurements. The company called and left me an message saying they would be back on 6/9/2014 to install the right gutter. They did, but they reinstalled the old downspout saying that they didn't know they had to replace the downspout. The company came back, I didn't write down when, but I just happen to be there that night and they brought the downspout but they didn't have the new elbows and connecting peices. The workmen said they would go back that next morning and tell the company about it. The company called and left me a message and finally came back on 7/2/2014 to finish a job that I had ordered back on 3/15/2014. It was a complete comedy of errors that I wasn't laughing about. The company offered no discount and no apology and I heard only once from my salesman by phone message during that entire time. Just thought the other Angie's list people should know. What a great forum to help keep business companies alert to just how what they do and don't do effects their customers both positively and negatively.

They were fine. They just basically said they will do it in a day and they did it in a day.

They were very professional and did a good job, and cleaned up well. For years afterwards when I had a problem like storm damage or nesting birds, they were responsive. The primary negative was the fact that we have a slate roof, and when high winds occurred the slates on the edge of the roof cracked. Perhaps they have solved this problem with upgrades since we've used their service.
