I would highly recommend Kenwood Kitchens and Bath. We had removed the existing shower stall, but soon realized that the project was beyond our do-it-yourself talents. Steve saved us lots of time and energy and after the selections were made at the Columbia show room, the project moved along well. Within one week, the plumber, tile man, and shower doors were installed. No messy clean up for me, and Perfection! Very happy with the results.

Sue Tibbs designed our kitchen in 2001. When we moved into a condo in 2018 she designed our kitchen.. Sue's designs were fantastic. The construction was timely and work was done beautifully. I could not ask for more!

The overall process went great ... from the beginning to the end! We visited their showroom and they were on site during the construction process to answer any questions that we had regarding the final layout. They walked us through all cabinet options and various designs until we found what fit our new house best. They were easy to work with, responsive to questions, worked within our budget, and delivered the cabinets on time. Our new house turned out great thanks to Kenwood!

It went great! Kenwood started the job when I had requested them to as I wAs going out of town and wanted it mostly done by the time I returned. Any problems that occurred ( and they always do with a job of this size) were handled quickly and easily . Nothing was ever a problem! My bathroom was a challenge because of its unusual angles and large size and I could not be more pleased with the results!!! It my dream bathroom ! The people that worked on this job were friendly, professional , neat and extremely talented!! The bathroom was completed on time and beautiful!!! I would strongly recommend Kenwood , especially Christopher for design!!!
Description of Work: Gutted my bathroom and redid it! Christopher( the gifted designer) drew up beautiful plans for the remodel! I had another company come out as well but they couldn't figure out how to make it work with all the angles and the size of the bathroom. Kenwood had also remodeled my kitchen and did an amazing job!

Design by Elaine and supervision of the work by Steve was excellent. Incredible service ethic and very concerned about the details and customer satisfaction.. Every project in home renovation in a 30 year old house runs into unexpected issues and Kenwood always dealt with them in a very professional manner. Their workers (they do not subcontract) arrived timely and always cleaned up for the day. They were pleasant and very skilled. The master bath was perfect and we called them in for the kitchen two months later. Follow-up on any small issues was handled speedily and to our complete satisfaction. They are not the cheapest contractor in the area, but who wants a cheap job fraught with mistakes and attitude. We highly recommend them and would not hesitate to have them work on our home again.

Our kitchen designer, Liz Daniels, was a dream to work with. She listened to everything I wanted, presented options to me, and made pleasing / sensible / efficient modifications to the design. I could not have asked for a better kitchen designer - she was great at her job and a pleasure to work with. The carpenters were all incredibly hard-working, careful, and very nice people to have around. I absolutely love my new kitchen. The only hiccup was with the granite / marble place they recommended - Classic. They were a nightmare, but that was not Kenwood's fault at all. However, I would strongly recommend going elsewhere for your counters.
Description of Work: Kitchen and laundry room remodel design. Installation of these cabinets and minor adjustments since then. Since we were doing a whole house renovation, our contractor's subcontractors installed the plumbing and electric. Designed and provided bathroom vanities (x4), but these were installed by the contractor renovating the majority of our home.

The demolition went very smoothly, after which the plumbers and electricians re-located all the necessary connections, the walls were made ready, and the flooring was installed. My cabinets are fantastic, the faucet is beautiful, the island and all the quartz countertops are sensational, and the lighting is awesome. The workers also installed all my new appliances--which fit perfectly because of their very precise measurements and planning. They did everything I wanted and more, and they did it all in about 3 weeks. My kitchen is a real showpiece. We just enjoyed family here for Christmas, and it was the best ever, because everything in my kitchen is so much more accessible and because the traffic flow and all the extra space provided by the island make cooking and entertaining a joy! Workers were always pleasant, easy to communicate with, clean, professional in all ways. They made certain that every detail was perfect before calling the job done. I also appreciate Kenwood's wonderful showroom in Abingdon where I could see and compare all my choices. Joel White was so very helpful in guiding us so that we ended up with the best choices of materials and still stayed within budget. The people at Kenwood are friendly, caring, and concerned about the customer's satisfaction. I am so glad I went with them; a better choice could not have been made.

We had a complete remodel of our kitchen done by Kenwood Kitchems. My wife and I spend a lot of time into selecting what we decided was the best contractor for our job. We were replacing everything in the room - floor, counters, cabinets, lighting and changing out an existing window. We added tile back splashes, under cabinet lighting and upgraded the electic which had not been there before. Essentially, the only thing we didn't change was the footprint of the room. We worked with Brad in the Columbia/Ellicott City showroom. He was very helpful and provided detailed plans and drawings of the work as well as suggesting options. Not to mention that he was very patient with several visits from us to clarify and change a few things. Work began the last week of April and was completed by the end of May. Most of the work was done by Kenwood personnel with only electric, plumbing and the granite countertops done by subs - all of whom have existing relationships with Kenwood. We were quite pleased with Kenwood's personnel. Particularly Marshall (supervisor) who was on site nearly every day and always available if needed and Tim who did the cabinetry, window and all of the trim. Unfortunately, I don't remember the names of the people who did the tile floor or the back splash as they were very professional too. The work was first class. Now the twenty four dollar question - were there any problems? Of course there were. There are always a couple of glitches in a project like this. It's not whether there are problems, it's how well the contractor deals with them. Kenwood gets A++ on resolving everything to our satisfaction and doing so very quickly. It was such a pleasure to deal with people who care about the job they do. That includes everyone we dealt with from the beginning with Brad through the last day with Tim. You will be hard pressed to find a better company to deal with.

I joined Angie's List when we decided to go ahead with our kitchen renovation. I read many reviews and called about three business. The only one that returned my call was Kenwood Kitchens. The call was from Shannon Velton, kitchen designer. She arranged to come over and meet us and see the kitchen. She measured and listened to what was on our wish list. Shannon called us to arrange a meeting at the showroom where she could go over her drawings, show us her ideas and we could pick from samples of cabinetry, etc, for her to price. It took us a few months to finally decide on Kenwood Kitchens, because I wanted to get three prices in order to make sure we were getting a fair price. Our renovation started on 28 April and ended yesterday when Steve, our project manager, came to complete what was left. We had to get a new cabinet door, they had gotten plaster on the screen of the sliding glass door, Steve rescreened the door. During the work, we had water from a bad storm come in through what we thought might be the result of having our pipes moved. Steve went on the roof to check it. Beth emailed me a picture of missing shingles that we had no idea were missing! Our carpenter Jeff was great. He did an awesome job. Our floor guys were great, as were the electrician and plumber. Beth from the office, who was in contact with us during the job was always pleasant. She supplied a calendar that told us what was going to be done everyday. If anything changed she would contact us. There was also a binder with everything that was needed for the people working on our kitchen. Shannon also stopped by to make sure everything was going well and we were happy. I cannot say enough about Shannon. She knows her stuff. We love our kitchen and I give Shannon and her ideas all of the credit. She met us at stores and helped with our selection choices. She was an absolute pleasure to work with! She even helped me pick out a paint color when the work was complete. Kenwood, I hope you know what a treasure you have there.

The quality of the job and the staff were first rate. The house looks beautiful. Way beyond my expectations. Kenwood staff accommodated our needs and were pleasant to work with. They were very reasonable regarding our requested last minute changes and did not nickle and dime us to death like some contractors do. Any time there was an unexpcted issues (and there always are in houses), they quickly and effectively addressed the issue. These folks are pros, from the the design to the carpentry to the electircal, painting and plumbing. We couldn't have had a better team. We were very pleased and would definitely recommend Kenwood Kitchens to anyone contemplating a home remodel job.
Description of Work: Kenwood did a complete remodel of the first floor of the house; including, new kitchen, powder room, hardwood flooring, recessed lighting, baseboards, painting and taking out a sliding glas door and replacing it with two windows,. As the team worked on the house they also came up with creative solutions to issues that we have learned to live with over the years.

We are thrilled with the results. The designer, Brad Crockett, from the Columbia location was excellent. He was timely, prompt; listened to our hopes, expectations, and the scope of work; took careful measurements and pictures; made numerous suggestions; and prepared detailed drawings with the cost proposals. Brad was professional, accessible (day, night, and weekends), knowledgeable, efficient, and sensitive to budgets. Several detailed proposals and revisions were made as the scope of the project increased from a simple kitchen and laundry room remodel project to the eventual completion of the project. We felt we were and quot;in good handsand quot; with Brad and Kenwood Kitchens and were not disappointed. Kenwood staff was outstanding to work with and functioned as a real team. Shortly before the project began, Beth, the production manager, provided a detailed schedule of project activity for the next four weeks. Marshall, the project manager, was accommodating, flexible, thoughtful, professional, knowledgeable, and reliable. He took an active interest in our project and was on-site almost everyday; some days, several times a day, either being attentive to the work of the various craftsmen, bringing in additional resources or making adjustments as necessary, making sure the work was being done correctly, helping the carpenter/installer on occasion, or providing timely and needed supplies. Beth and Marshall were professional and friendly and kept the project moving along smoothly. Tim Carter, the carpenter/installer, was a master craftsman, prompt, reliable, professional, and very friendly. (A neighbor had a bathroom remodel project completed by Kenwood Kitchens and had stated that Tim was a perfectionist.) We also found Tim to be very detailed-orientated and a perfectionist. It is through Tim's expertise, craftsmanship, and hard work that Brad's design came to life. We could not have asked for a better carpenter/installer. Larry, the master tile finisher, was professional, soft-spoken, hardworking, and attentive to every detail. The truck support crew were likewise hardworking, professional, and willing to assist as needed. Kenwood Kitchens' attention to detail, timeliness, organization of all the various craftsmen and support personnel (including the carpenter, plumbers, electrician, hardwood, granite and tile installers), and professionalism was exceptional. Most impressive was how everyone worked together as a team to complete our project on a time. We would not hesitate to use them again in any future home remodeling projects and we highly recommend Kenwood Kitchens and Bath.
Description of Work: Complete kitchen, powder room, and family room remodel. Flooring from family room, laundry room, kitchen, hallway, foyer, and powder room were removed. Hardwood was installed in the family room, kitchen, hallway, and foyer. Tile was installed in the laundry room and powder room. Bulkhead in kitchen was removed. Microwave was installed above the range and vented to the outside. Installed new cabinets in kitchen and powder room. Installed granite countertops in the kitchen and powder room. Installed new toilet. Installed backsplash.

Fantastic experience from design to punch-out! From the initial meeting with Brad Crockett, the designer in the Columbia office, I knew that Kenwood Kitchens and Bath would offer me the professional turn-key solution to my home improvement needs. Brad was professional, accessible, knowledgeable, efficient and sensitive to budgets. He worked with me to create several detailed proposals and revisions which resulted in the perfect design with the elegant finishes I was looking for, while remaining within budget. The Kenwood onsite staff was simply outstanding! Marshall, the project manager, was professional, creative, knowledgeable, and reliable. He showed a personal interest in the job and satisfaction of the homeowner, he was especially attentive to the quailty of the work and making sure the job was done correctly. All of the tradesmen were extremely friendly, prompt, reliable, and provided the utmost professional workmanship. Bill Bonolis, the carpenter, was a master at his craft and was able to create a lit bulkhead over the vanity that I couldn't be happier with. Larry, the master tile finisher, was professional, hardworking, and attentive to every detail, resulting in a gorgeous finished product. Beth, the production manager, provided a scheduled calendar of the work progress, she was friendly and efficiently kept the job moving smoothly. In summary, the project is scheduled, outlined, and maintained on task, one of the many reasons we choose Kenwood for our projects. We have been thrilled! Their attention to detail, organization, patience and professionalism were a huge selling point. Without each team member's commitment and expertise the project surely would not have run so smoothly - Kenwood has an exceptional team for design and implementation.

The designer, Brad Crockett, was excellent to work with. He really listened to our hopes, added his expertise in a helpful way, and was meticulous about the details. The scheduling was done expertly: with a job that was scheduled to run during four work weeks, there was only a two day over-run - and that was because we had asked for some extra work. Tim Carter, the carpenter, was very helpful and asked questions about the right details as he went along, and he was pleasant to have around during the days he worked. Marshall the project manager and Beth the production manager were professional and friendly and kept the job moving along smoothly. We talked to a number of designer/contractor outfits, and we would not have gotten this quality for the price at any of them. Two thumbs up for Kenwood!

We did not have a definite design in mind. Our kitchen planner, Beth, left no stone unturned. She made suggestions and recommendations that I had not even considered. She was incredibly patient throughout the design phase that took several months and several modifications. They promised a functional kitchen within 3 weeks, and by golly, we did ! The job was done professionally from start to finish. It was a delight working with Bonnie, who was the designer, and with Dave, who was the installer/carpenter for the job. We also had an excellent experience with Beth, who was the project manager for the job. We were told exactly what the expected timeline would be and how long each part of the job would take, to include a schedule and calendar of events given to us on day 1. There were unexpected setbacks along the way, which wasn't surprising when dealing with a 35 year old house; but even though these setbacks arose, and we had to revise our approach, we were given options and recommendations for overcoming the difficulties. Throughout the project, everyone with whom we dealt was calm, friendly and professional. There was NO drama. This was a very agreeable experience and we fully recommend Kenwood Kitchens to others.
Description of Work: We had a complete 100% kitchen remodel and renovation done by Kenwood Kitchens between mid-February to mid-March 2012. My old kitchen was 35 years old and we had it completely gutted and new cabinets, countertops and floors installed, along with wall tile backsplash and new lighting throughout the kitchen.

We were originally promised a two-week schedule, but it is now two months into the job and they still have not completed it. Nor can they promised when it will be done. They also made many mistakes along the way. To name a few: - the floating vanity (the centerpiece of the remodel) was sagging and would not support the granite counter-tops, so they proposed just putting a crutch under it, which defies the whole point of a floating design; - they forgot to block in the walls enough to support the closet doors, so they had to pull the drywall off (after it was already painted) and put more studs in there; - the medicine cabinets were supposed to be recessed, but apparently they didn't tell the rough-in contractor, who never made pockets to hold the medicine cabinets. They are now and quot;recessedand quot; by about the depth of the drywall, and we are waiting for some molding to and quot;fixand quot; the problem by hiding the part that is sticking out. - plumber had to come out several times due to leaks on sinks and missing part on shower head. My biggest complaint, however, is that they are extremely late. This was apparent to the subcontractors within 2 days after they started, when they told me that the job would be at least 2 weeks late (I wish it were only that bad). They are now stonewalling me on dates and not responding to emails. I would never use them again.
Description of Work: This was a turnkey bathroom remodel for a master bathroom. We liked the design (and the designer) but things really went down hill when it came to execution. They were late, slow, poorly coordinated among team members, and never once apologized for what has turned into a 2-month schedule overage--and counting. They also made numerous construction errors that required revision and further delays.

Since the original posting, we have completed this project which turned out beautiful. It was unfortunate that upper management was not informed about the issues until late in the installation. We take full responsibility and have established new procedures with the designers and job supervision to correct something like this from happen again. We appreciate the customer for allowing us to correct and complete the bathroom. Scott Waldhauser - Kenwood Kitchens
