Phenomenal. I had an outstanding experience from start to finish. I worked with Jennifer at the company's office who guided me through every step of the way. I had a very difficult problem to solve - how to get a bar granite countertop supported with no cabinetry underneath. Jennifer came up with a bar support solution, and the end result was amazing. The price was really good, too, at $30/sq. foot. They offered sale granite that went even lower. I think the template measurer and workmen were highly skilled craftspeople. I wish I could upload a photo here so you could appreciate their work, too. Absolutely, I would hire them again.

I sensed a problem when I received a call from the person scheduled to do my estimate and he could, or would not accept that I could not reschedule from 4:30pm to noon just because he happened to be in the area and that was convenient for him. He did a lot of whining about his schedule and due to the language barrier, I understood very little of what he said (and vice versa). By the time he arrived at the house at 4:30, he was beyond rude and gruff, complaining about what we were asking for, not offering any solutions, and saying it couldn't be done. He also said he was wasting his time there at least 6 times. He got in a heated discussion with my partner and also kept saying he was 'there to measure, nothing else!' I can't ever remember being treat so rudely and unreasonably. I would not recommend Panda to my worst enemy!

It went really well. Steve was great to work with, too! He not only met with us in the showroom, he came out to the condo to take measurements. The entire time he was available by phone/txt/email and always willing to help us come up with solutions to our somewhat fluid design. And, while we were talking by phone, he could completely visualize the ideas we were discussing and brought up potential issues that would result and how to solve these potential problems. He really knows his business and was super-friendly to work with! The installation also went very well. The two installers were quite skilled, but lacked English-speaking skills. This resulted in some confused communication. However, they were very nice and really worked hard to ensure we were happy. We also accepted most of their recommendations (but English skills would have resulted in a quicker decision). There was one mishap (door opened opposite way than planned) that wasn't caught until later - but they drove 2.5 hours in DC rush hour traffic for about a 15 minute fix. Overall, we are really pleased with how it looks! Per other reviews, it is true that the cabinets came in flat boxes that had to be assembled before installation. But, as with many cabinet replacement jobs, it's the knowledge and skills of fitting these cabinets and counter tops, regardless of how they arrive. When I re-do the kitchen of a rental property we own, my first call will be to Steve at Panda Kitchens and Bath.

Description of Work: Kitchen cabinets and countertop. |We had used his company in the past and we satisfied; so we wen back to them again. Second time was not the same experience. Fist the sales agent we previously used was no longer with the company. The new guy was not nearly as helpful or as knowledgable about the product. However, we knew what we wanted so we did not need his "expertise" to design our kitchen. I stall day scheduling was easy, scheduled well in advance. However, the counter top was not ordered when we selected it, so a week before install it was no longer available. I had to hunt down another choice...ultimately went with another vendor to provide the counter top. Install crew was prompt, but the did not have all the correct accessories per our cabinet plan. I had to make several calls back to the sales agent to resolve this issue (he did not do well) and ultimately worked with the manager to get everything sorted - he was professional and did his best to attempt to make it right. The install crew encounter some difficulties installing in our older house. It was not apparent how challenged they were until the other vendor came to install counters on the Panda cabinets. Many shims were needed to level the tops placed on the counter bases. The price of the product is very good. The quality of the product is average, but is holding up well after a year. The service and installation leave much to be desired.

,Installers were professional and the quality of work was mostly good. However, the seam in the granite counter top is too obvious. I have seen other seams that were much better done. My representative was not responsive to my requests to have the seam fixed. Additionally, i later realized that one of the cabinets is not level because the drawers fall open. I haven't called the company about that issue, yet. I will provide update after I contact the company. All in all I would and have recommended the company. Just caution you to check everything carefully before signing off on the work.

We just had our cabinets and granite countertops installed. It was not a positive experience from the start. The experience from the beginning had yellow flags, which we ignored because of their low advertised prices. We made an appointment to go the company "showroom floor" to speak to someone about purchasing cabinets and countertops after the company had measured our kitchen. Keep in mind we had an appointment to see someone at the company who was supposed to be a ?designer?. We walked in and a woman was in the showroom. She looked at us like we were invading the office space or that we should not be there. We told her that we had an appointment, she told us that the person we had the appointment with, was not there. She did not make any further suggestions to help us or said anything else. I then said ?well can you or someone else help us??, it was apparent to us that she was seemingly bothered by our suggestion. She then left the showroom to make a call and said if we waited, someone else would be in to assist us. After a long wait, someone came in to the store to assist us to develop a plan from the measurements they had taken and for us to get quotes on purchasing the cabinets and countertops. Despite of the company?s advertisement on Angie?s List of promotions and in their company internet website, the designer did not mention a discount or special during our sales process. Despite our request, we had to pay the quoted retail price. This is very important if you similarly have a sales contract with them; read it carefully as we did not realize nor did they inform us of everything (probably for a reason). Although we were paying for the installation, delivery of the new kitchen and paying for the disposal of the old kitchen cabinets and countertops, the installation of the appliances, any related electrical and or installation of plumbing was not included. When the two installers arrived to install the cabinets that is when we noticed that the cabinets came in ?Ikea style cabinets?, in flat cardboard boxes delivered from China. All of the cabinets and hardware all had to be put together in their "box" cabinet form. After about an hour of their arrival and during the installation process, the installers had a verbal fight and one of them left the job. The installer that stayed at the house was visibly angry. I did try to speak up and said it was not acceptable behavior. Unfortunately, to make matters more difficult, the installer had very limited English skills and was very difficult to understand. During my questioning on what had happened, the installer said that it was a personal issue that the other guy left. I then helped with the installation, as I wanted the job to be completed and to be done as soon as well as possible. The installer that stayed said he was calling a friend, he arrived only towards the end of the installation and basically just did some minimal work. I should note that we went even further beyond what would be expected; besides helping with the installation, we kindly purchased the installer and his assistant lunch (before they had gotten into the fight and one of them left). We had done this in efforts to ensure that we would have a good job done. During the installation, the installer said that he; 1., would not reinstall the microwave unless we paid him for it, 2., we had to buy plumbing at home depot and pay additional for the plumbing installation, 3., we had to pay extra for additional services like moving an electrical outlet box two inches. As I mentioned earlier, it is important to fully read the contract agreement because this was not disclosed to us at the time of purchase. We learned that the additional charges is a way for the installer to make more money and to pay for his assistant for the day?s labor. I called the main company to complain and the manager that I spoke to said he would speak to the installers and ask that they at least install the microwave for free, it was otherwise another $150, and he said to get the contract and to read it. It was then our fault for not having fully read the extensive contract (with very small writing). The installer charged us what we perceive a high and unjust charge for plumbing, installation of appliances and minor electrical work. In addition, of having to pay additional for the installation, the installer said we had to go to Home Depot to purchase the plumbing pieces that he needed. I had to go to Home Depot 4 times because I kept getting the wrong parts (he was very difficult to understand, his English was very limited, he is Chinese). After finally getting the right parts had purchasing extra pieces (just in case), I also had to purchase a new refrigerator plumbing line as the old one was severed. I mentioned that I also had purchased other plumbing pieces which the installer did not use, unfortunately he kept those extra pieces. I had intended to return them to Home Depot. I only figured out that they were missing after he left. We had hoped that at least they had done a good job with the cabinet installation. When we placed our dishes on the shelves, a few minutes later they collapsed. The installers did not put enough shelf holders when installing them (the installer that came in later to help tried to put the shelves but he clearly did not know what he was doing). We sent a note to the company but never heard a response. In addition, we had to spend hours cleaning up after everything they left our home. Therefore, despite their prices being perhaps lower than the competition, from our experience, you truly get what you pay for.

We shopped several places including Sears and Home Depot. Panda was far cheaper than all other places we shopped. The quality of the cabinets and granite counter tops looked very solid. Two guys finished all the work (removing old cabinets, uninstalled garbage disposal, replacing all plumbing pipes, installed all cabinets, drawers, counter tops) in less than 14 hours. I asked them to haul away the old cabinets and they told me I could make some money by selling them online. I posted sales on Craigslist and sold them in 3 days for $500. They also pre-drilled the two 6" diameter holes for the range hood without charging me extra. We got the quote over a year ago and the price of granite went up $10/ft but the nice sales lady honored us last year's price which saved us several hundred dollars. Overall we had very positive experience with Panda and highly recommend them.

Straight deaing from the minute we went in. beat the local price quotes we had. put down a deposit and they had it in within 2 weeks.looks great. Small issue with communication with installer, but what he was tryin got get across is that the sink parts we had weren't right. so they refunded the sink install fee and showed us what parts to get. they drilled the holes perfectly and my friend came by and attached the sinks and hooked up the water. it was a little more complex because we ordered our own vessel sinks and hardware, which they were happy to work with. the only other small issue is that they dinged up thee wall geting it in,but it was a tight fit. i actually toe it up getting the old one out and we made the mistake of fixing and painting before install. we should have waited. overall we had a really good experience and got a great price. we will be using them again for the kitchen!

The first time we went to their "store," which sprawls through a warehouse, we arrived just after they had closed. (Their website does not list store hours.) But we saw a man inside and knocked, and he let us come in and look around! We chose not to buy our kitchen cabinets there because they did not have one of the upscale features we wanted, but in retrospect, we should have. We did, however, buy our granite countertop from them because of their low prices, In contrast to Lowe's and Home Depot, which had no options at or below our $40 per square foot price point, Panda had several. They honored the 30-day price quoted in June even though we didn't buy until August. We were disappointed when the granite we chose was out of stock, even though it was still displayed in the store. But we were happy with our second choice, which sold for the same price of $35. We saw the same granite at Ikea for $62. The installers were punctual and did a flawless job. They said that the granite had not been sealed, which surprised our contractor, so we sealed it ourselves.

The installation was good except I think the only thing that I would have to tell you is that their people need to clean up after themselves. When they were doing all the cutting and everything they did it like in my garage and it was kind of in and out of the garage and it was raining, but they didn't even asked to do you want me to cover your motor cycles or anything like that so my wife and I had to wash our motor cycles and get all glass particles of their granite surface and to scratch it. The price was good. They were right on time. There was one guy that didn't speak English at all and the other guy will have fairly concepts of the English language. He was very hard to speak with and at one point we actually had to call his supervisor so that he can relay the message to him in his language. It was very frustrating. I would not use them again.

Panda's turnaround time from design to delivery was impressive--on the order of three weeks--for semi-custom cabinets. (I went with shaker fronts, a mix of styles of base cabinets, and 42-inch tall wall cabinets.) Joe was a delight to deal with, approachable and professional. Panda's showroom in Tyson's Corner is a more modest size than many other cabinet retailers: I found it much easier to make up my mind without having too many options to choose from. So far, the quality of the cabinets seems good: three-quarter inch plywood all around for the box, and solid wood for the drawers. Their cabinets are frameless (a more European look), requiring the use of interior-mounted hinges. I doubt that Panda's hinges are as good as Blum, but they seem good so far. The drawers are on a metal undermount rail--soft-closing is an available option. The countertop is granite, and I cannot tell the difference between varying granites: they all look like rocks to me. I cannot say anything precise about Panda's pricing: it was subsumed into a contract with my prime for the entire kitchen job, including electric work, some carpentry, repainting, and installing a new floor. That said, I'm incredibly happy with the price, quality, value, and approach to business that my prime has displayed--and he has yet to provide me with any bad advice or recommendations in the entire remodeling process.
Description of Work: Panda Kitchen was my contractor's subcontractor to provide kitchen cabinets and a countertop for the renovation of my newly-purchased condo in Burke. Dave Guerin, the owner of Evergreen Contracting Services, recommended Panda, and having only had good results with Dave's recommendations, I went with Panda. Panda provided cabinets (base and lower) for a U-shaped kitchen, approximately 10 feet by 7 feet and a granite countertop. They worked with my prime contractor to arrange delivery and installation: my only direct dealing with Panda was when Joe, the owner, came out to measure and talk with me about my desires and one trip to their showroom to select cabinets and the particular color of granite. Everything else--including the design approvals--was done over email.

They were okay -- efficient and not sales-y at all. In fact, sometimes the account manager seemed like he didn't care either way if he got my business. The granite is good quality and the price is decent. I got uba tuba, which is very plentiful and now you can get it for way lower than I paid. The measurer was efficient, and the few stops I made to their showroom were fine. I was told I could visit their warehouse to pick the slab of granite, but when I got there, they had already cut out the sink holes. This was no big deal sink I picked a very standard granite color. Installers were great; removed and reinstalled a cabinet that was in the way. Also, they don't rip you off on plumbing. I believe they charged $200-$300 to have the plumbing reinstalled, but there are big box stores that will charge you three times that much. Hire your own plumber or do it yourself. Also, they gave me ogee edges at no extra charge. This makes a big difference. I have a plain edge on another property and it looks much better with the higher end edging.

Excellent service and design help. Jay we was responsive to our needs and provided good recommendations to ensure we received the best layout for out kitchen. The price is great, but the options are limited. If they have what you need it is great. This is a good lower price option for kitchen cabinets (full custom cabinets would have been twice the price) - hence the B in quality. The cabinets look great and have held up very well over with no issues since installation over 6 months ago. Customer service from Panda was top notch, they were responsive through out the entire process, especially after all the work was done they helped out solve some minor issues as no additional cost. Will definitely use them again and have recommended them to several friends.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Very professional salesperson helped me choose countertops and sent an installer out to the house within 24 hours to measure and give quote on all aspects of project. We were pleasantly surprised with the pricing - they came in much less expensive than Sears and I felt much more comfortable with them since the actual installer came to give us the quote vs just a salesperson (who will not actually be doing the work). Workers were polite and cleaned up after themselves every day. Answered any questions I had. They came in right on budget, and finished in four days - exactly how long they estimated. When the installers accidentally scratched the floor while putting the refrigerator back, they were VERY professional and courteous about it - and had a hardwood specialist at the house within 2 hours to repair it and make it good as new. Their customer service was top notch from start to finish and I highly recommend them. From initial call to final install, the whole process was only 2 weeks. Amazing!

These guys were great!!! I worked with Jay from the Mclean store (they own 3 stores, Rockville, Mclean, and Laurel which is the main store) but Joe the owner was involved the whole way. He came out and did all the prework measurements and stopped by at least once a day. They showed up exactly when they said they would and the whole job only took about 4 days. They tore out walls of a pantry closet, the old flooring, and a soffet. This allowed them to lay a whole new floor (under all the cabinets and appliances), install much larger cabinets on the wall, and add cabintes on the floor as well as installing a large floor to ceiling pantry cabinet. This also gave us much more counter space. They moved outlets, did all the plumbing and electrical work as needed. When they were finished, they left the place immaculate. Everything was perfect!! The cabinets are good quality, and the granite is beautiful, We went with an 8" granite back splash all around. It looks great! They addressed all of our requests, and made some good suggestions along the way. And the price? for everything they did it was like half of all the other quotes we got. At the end, I went through and inspected everything. All the joints and cabinet doors are even, care was taken in all of the installation. During my inspection, I found a tiny leak at the compression fitting for the icemaker filter...I mentioned this to Joe, and before I new it, his guys were back fixing it. I highly reccomend these guys

Panda Kitchen did an excellent job. I found that most, if not all, granite companies advertise a low price, like $30 a square foot, but there are a lot of additional costs (plumbing work, new sink, faucet etc.). Panda did this too, but the additional costs were lower than the other companies. They have a moderate selection of granite colors. The process took some time -- the measurer came out (had to come out twice in my case), the account exec. worked with me on the final price and options, and the granite was cut and installed. The measurer was kind of stern, but he was super-detailed oriented. The account exec., Steve, was very nice and not sales-y at all. The installers were on time and efficient. They unexpectedly had to remove a cabinet to get the granite in, and did a good job. Panda also gives you an ogee edge as standard (it's an upgrade for all the other companies I saw). Their price for plumbing was also reasonable (others were outrageous!). A few minor complaints: at one point, I couldn't get Steve to call me back. I left two messages over two weeks and the third time I finally got him on the phone; he didn't say anything about why he didn't call. The installers didn't clean up as well as I wished. They say they will leave the place "broom clean," but they left debris in my back patio and dust in the interior of my cabinets. The floor got very dirty as it was snowing that day, and they tracked in snow and water. But, overall, a good experience. I would use them again for kitchen cabinets.
Description of Work: installation of approx 30 sq ft. of granite countertops, removal of old countertops, purchase/installation of sink, re-installation of garbage disposal and faucet.

They did a very good job. They helped us design it well. They came on time. They worked very efficiently. Their price was good and the service was good, but the quality was kind of like you get what you pay for sort of thing. It was not like the highest end.
Description of Work: Panda Kitchen & Bath installed the countertops and cabinets for us about a year ago.
