The movers arrived quite early! My move was scheduled at 9am and they were already there at 8:45 when I got there. A team of four guys moved all the large furniture pieces out of my sold townhouse quite quickly. The entire move only took about 4 hours. There wasn't a scratch on my townhouse, either. Each piece of furniture was wrapped carefully even though the trip was less than 10 miles. Would hire again.

From start to finish, our move with Metropolitan Moving & Storage was excellent. Their estimator, Eddie, did a thorough check of everything beforehand. We were worried about 2 pieces of artwork that were valuable, and he explained that they'd each be securely packed in a custom-built crate. On moving day, the guys were friendly and professional. Our dining table has a stone top that's incredibly heavy, but they figured out the best way to get it out into the truck. The price turned out to be a little less than the original estimate, even with the art crates and extra-heavy table. Nothing was damaged - there wasn't even a scratch or scuff on any walls or floors. Metropolitan Moving & Storage kept our furniture and boxes in their climate-controlled storage for about 11 months. It took longer than expected for our house to be built, but Cassie in the office was great about being flexible. When the house was finally done, she was able to schedule the truck from Maryland to arrive in Florida exactly on the day we'd hoped - even though it was right before Christmas. The guys who brought our furniture and boxes from Maryland to Florida got everything in its place - again, without any damage whatsoever. The 2 pieces of artwork were unpacked and they were absolutely fine. And once again, the amount we paid turned out to be a little less than the original estimate. We are in Florida now, but we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Metropolitan Moving & Storage. From start to finish, it was a pleasure working with them.

Moved some furniture from house to storage unit. Metropolitan mover staff (2 movers) were terrific. Did a great job moving some heavy furniture and were very professional.

We had a great experience with Metropolitan. The team leader was responsive and obviously cared about the quality of their work. The team as a whole had a great camaraderie and worked very well together. Despite the stress of the move, it was pleasant having them around for two days. There was no breakage, damage or missing items. Their knowledge of how to move cumbersome items into unforgiving stairwells and doorways was nothing short of amazing. We were impressed and grateful for the care they took and the degree that they went out of their way to assist us. We also felt their pricing compared favorably to other quotes we received. I recommend them highly.

Metropolitan is great! I had such a great experience in 2010 that I made sure I used the same company in 2017. Metropolitan came, gave me an estimate, told me what to expect on the day of the move. Day of the move, everything went exactly as planned, the guys were great, took great care of me and my belongings, and even came in slightly under estimate. HIGHLY recommend.

Great! Would absolutely use again and highly recommend this company. We only moved 3 miles down the road, but everything was packed as if we were moving to another state so nothing broke. The 4 men were very professional. The company sent a rep to give us a quote and he was also professional and very helpful. The quote was fairly accurate and included supplies and the time of 4 men. We had them pack quite a bit, so they were with us from about 9:30 until just before 5pm (minus some time for lunch). They helpfully set up the rooms as we indicated, including putting furniture such as beds/crib back together. We had to call to confirm the day before because we did not hear from the company after we booked the move and they arrived about 30 minutes later than we expected, but otherwise it went off perfectly (and those are very minor issues).

The moving company sent out a professional to give us a free estimate. Not only did he estimate the dollar amount but the time as well. They sent us 6 men and 2 trucks to move from a townhouse. The team showed up promptly at the promised time and were super professional. They were fast and efficient and protected all our possessions with excellent care. They were out of the house within a few hours and again were prompt at the new home. They protected the carpet and took care of the walls by measuring before moving some bulky items. They re-assembled furniture and left it better than they found it. The finished 30 minutes prior to the estimated time. Just amazing. I have had many moves in my life (and thus hate moving) but this one was the absolute best!

Was very impressed by the professionalism of this company. They visited my apartment prior to scheduling the move to provide a free estimate of what the cost would be, and staff were very thorough in scheduling the move. The movers worked quickly, re-assembled furniture correctly, and didnt waste time, resulting in a resasonable price overall. Just one wrinkle -- the movers arrived almost an hour late, which was surprising, given how efficient things were up to that point. However, once they arrived, they performed the task quickly and competently, so everything worked out fine and we were quite pleased with the service overall.

Wow! Metropolitan sent us a great team. A very long day for them with rain toward the end but they were competent, fast and unfailingly accommodating, polite and cheerful. We are most grateful. There are so many ways things could have gone wrong, combining 2 households and moving them to a third location on one day with one truck. The greatest feat was moving (in the rain) a heavy 8-foot-long antique bookcase through some narrow passages without a scratch.

The movers showed up early, were very professional and efficient. No damage occurred during move. They finished before estimated time and final price was below original estimate. They offered to rearrange furniture until we were pleased with the layout. Everyone was so nice and easy to work with. Made what is normally a stressful moving day, practically stress free. Would highly recommend if moving in the Baltimore/DC area and will be using again if needed.

On both move out day, and move in day, the temperature was near 100. All four members of the crew worked non-stop despite the heat. They protected all of our furniture, which includes many antiques, perfectly and everything was delivered in perfect condition. Final cost for the move was lower then the estimate by several humdred dollars.

It went very well. The movers were early, efficient, professional, clean and courteous. The minimum 4-hour charge of $600 is quite reasonable, in spite of the fact that the move was done in 2-1/2 hours.

We could not have asked for the move to go any smoother. We were a little concerned about the rain, but the movers handled everything very professionally, making sure no items got wet or ruined. The entire Metropolitan Team was very customer service oriented and accommodated our schedule. All members of the team were very professional, friendly and arrived early both days for packing an moving. They took great care with our belongings, adeptly handled bulky/heavy furniture, appliances and equipment despite limited clearance on stairs and door openings. They were particularly sensitive to the fact we were moving into a new home and went the extra mile to assure they did not ding doors, walls or track dirt/mud into the house. We did not have any damages. I would definitely recommend Metropolitan Moving & Storage.
