Technician showed up earlier than expected, which was fine by me. He listened to my update about the various pest issues (all of them resolved). Bernard is the best! Home Paramount has always responded promptly in between quarterly visits when a problem comes up in between times.

The company came out the same day we got information and signed up for the treatments! They were very professional and efficient! We were very impressed, in particular, with Tony Balciunas. He was quite helpful with our needs. I highly recommend Home Paramount!

We were largely overcharged for an unauthorized and out of scope installation of insulation in our crawl space. On Wednesday, December 27, 2017, we discovered evidence of mice feces in our kitchen area. On Thursday, December 28, 2017, we contacted Home Paramount for a one-time service call to identify and treat the rodent issue. Home Paramount scheduled and arrived on Friday, December 30 to inspect our home, and provide service. Upon inspection, it was found that we had a "major infestation" of mice in our crawlspace, with damage to our insulation by the discovery of mice droppings and burrows. It was advised to us that we have the issue taken care of since mice put us at risk of disease and we had a baby on the way. The scope of work for the crawlspace stated (per the work order): "Remove wall insulation, remove pocket insulation, borate, remove/replace poly, seal foundation openings including pipes going up through floor." The work authorized by us and scheduled to begin the same day (Friday, December 29, 2017) for the scope, and continued to Saturday, December 30 to complete the insulation installation. On the morning of Saturday, December 30, I joined the service technician in the crawlspace to inspect the installation. I noticed that Home Paramount was installing insulation under our floor (in between the floor joists) and asked the Service tech why this was, as there was no insulation there previously. He stated he was following the work order and continued with his job. Our crawlspace is a conditioned so the only insulation we had was previously around the exterior inside walls / pockets. Floor insulation (insulation between the floor joists) was not previously installed and was not needed to be installed nor was it outlined in the work order. The service tech completed the work on Saturday, December 30 and left he property. Our total bill was paid in the amount of $3,528.00 by credit card for this work. Still frustrated that we had insulated logged a call with Home Paramount on January 8, 2018 at 4:15pm to inquire why the work was performed that way; Home Paramount informed me that they would reach out to the service manager, Robbie, and have him call me. Robbie called me back the following morning January 9, 2018 at 10:04am. During that call, I asked Robbie why insulation was installed between the joists as it was not there previously. Robbie justified the work performed and informed me that the insulation would help on the heating bills along with other benefits. As a point of reference, the signed work order 3062018 has no reference to insulation to be installed in between the floor joists. Robbie and I ended the call after his justification. In February of 2018, I was advised by our CPA to contact Home Paramount to receive a breakdown of materials and labor, as insulation is a deductible expense for taxes for the FY 2017. I contacted the Home Paramount customer service line on February 13, 2018 at 12:51pm and asked for a breakdown of labor and materials for our tax reporting purposes. I was advised by the Home Paramount customer service representative that the local office would need to provide that information. They passed along my contact information and I did not hear back. On February 15, at 3:59pm, I called Home Paramount to once again receive this information. The customer service representative passed me over to the local office, where I spoke with Kristen Hindman. She was able to provide me a breakdown in email of materials: $2,228 and labor: of "the rest" (referring to the difference between $2,228 and $3,529, or $1,300). On May 20, 2018, I went into the crawlspace to change our air filter on our furnace. I noticed that the insulation was falling down from the floor joists to the crawlspace floor from about 30% of the installed area. On May 21,2018 at 9:20am, I logged a call with Home Paramount for this to be inspected, as our original work was under warranty for 12 months from completion. Home Paramount came out on Tuesday, May 22, to install the work. I asked the service rep (Stephen Clark - who installed the insulation the first time) once again why the insulation was installed this way when the work order and scope did not outline this. He advised that he was just following the work order and did notice that some of the material that was used was no longer used because of quality issues. I instructed him that I wanted the insulation removed and installed in the pockets like originally scoped. He was not able to complete the job the same day and returned on May 29, 2018 to complete the work. Frustrated once again with the work, I decided to author a review and post the review on Facebook and Google on Tuesday June 12, outlining our horrendous experience that we had. Alan, the location manager that is in charge of the team that did our work, called me to which he responded that there was not anything that he could do because he thought it was a just communication error and seemingly placed blame on us for signing the papers to authorize the work. I assured him that the papers we signed did not scope insulation being installed between the floor joists and it was the portion of the payment I was disputing. No refund was offered and the call was ended. On Tuesday, June 12 around 2:30pm, Paul Hoffmann called me to inquire about my situation. Paul offered up that Home Paramount installs to code (referring to building code). I assured him that my issue was that there was nothing in the work order that outlined insulation to be installed between the floor joists other than 3 areas around pipes that went through the floor. Paul assured me he was going to look into this further, and come up with a resolution. He said he would call back in the next day or two. So far, no call back has been made.

It took them more than a month to complete the work using multiple excuses for the delay. They never removed the squirrels. The agent that came to remove them did not even have enough traps and had to use mine, which he never returned. they NEVER caught any and decided to continue the work nonetheless telling me that with the protection they were putting they were no way they could come back in .!!!! Well, they came back. Call them back and they told me that it will be $700 for the service to remove them even though they did not complete the work initially. he even talked about redoing the insulation that his company did 35 days before. What a crook !!! The guy that came to check was rude and made me feel very uneasy in own home. As a single mother this is not a good situation. My advice stay away from them

During Initial inspection I was never questioned about access to my attic. I had to have managers come out after the first visit because the first tech. Just put snap traps everywhere. After a year of service i hear noise in the attic on a weekend. Call an emergency company only to find out i had squirrel activity and rhodent droppings in my attic. Entry ways on both sides of my home and the squirrels were coming in and out from the front and rear of my home. 750$ later i called Home Paramount to complain about no one ever going into my attic.... They blamed me that I didn't allow the technician upstairs and they cant determine when it started. The technician asked me did he need to spray for bugs upstairs I never saw bugs upstairs not on the first floor so i knew they were not on the third floor. He never inquired about my attic. I gave him access to my house to do whatever he needed to do because i paid for this service because im afraid of anything with more legs than I have. After 24 hours the manager offered one free service and was assured they woukd check the attic for further appointments and then I was asked to pay my balance. Needless to say i cancelled my service and hired soneone else who came and found mice droppings all through out my home and an empty box bait behind the stove. The technician was kind always on time but the intitial inspector and managers failed to ask about the attic and the technician who serviced never inquired I Am not a professional so i didnt know until the problem started. And i had chewed up wires. They also need to do better on preventive measures un acceptable. And insult to injury while on hold waiting for the manager im listening to the recording about how they offer a free inspection and how squirrels change there activity during the winter months and how home paramount comes and check your attic and instalation for that particular service something i have been paying a whole year but was not receiving!! I have owned my home for a year and as a new homeowner im learning and I dont want to be taking advantage of or waste money.

The Rep. should have asked me to trim shrubs away from the house to make it easier for the two-man team to sink bait traps 8-10 inches into the ground. I didn't think to ask but I should have been told that they would be put close to the foundation and that they would be using an 8-10 inch gas/electric drill to make holes in the ground between the house foundation and shrubs. The rep seemed in a rush to get it done without considering to tell me that it would be best to wait until I had time to prune shrubs. Shrubs were broken in more than several places. I asked the two-man team if I needed to cut them back before they did their work and they said, "No, that they would be careful. On one side of the house, where I did prune quickly, no shrubs were damaged. It was a hot day and I didn't want to hold them up to prune the other side. Wish I did. They did not tell me that they had left broken shrubs and should have offered to, at least, clear them away. They were sloppy on several other things such as leaving dirt on large decorative slabs where a small amount of effort and a brush would have left it they way they found it....clean. They should have shown me where all the traps were set. The Rep said there would be 30, they placed 26 traps. It made me think I was shorted but the rep. later said that he was just estimating. I asked the two-man team when I saw their drill if they had called Ms. Utility. They said no because they were drilling less than 12 inches. I asked them several times about this because we have a sprinkler system and they were drilling where I knew cable wires were. You guessed it, I didn't realize untill they left that they cut the FIOS cable wire which meant I had no phone, TV or Internet. I called the Rep and, to their credit, two managers came out within an hour or two. They did check the traps where I thought the cable might be but they couldn't find anything cut. They said it must be a coincidence. There was one trap by the deck that they didn't check and that was the one with the broken cable. I said I would call them after I called FIOS and let them know what happened. A FIOS rep came out the next day and placed a temporary cable. It took two weeks to get the cable fixed and back in place, I had to make a lot of phone calls to keep FIOS coming back until their job was completed. I didn't have the time or patience to inform Home Paramount on what a hassle I was going through because of their incompetence. I NEVER got a call back from the rep or managers to see what happened. The homeowner should be left with a grid/map on where the traps are placed. They are 8 inches in the ground and could easily, over time, be covered w/ dirt or sod. Concerning the rep., he was courteous and knowledgeable. The one thing that will cause me to give an automatic low score is when the rep walks into a house and does not put booties on his work boots. I have hard wood floors and expensive rugs downstairs and carpeting upstairs. We do not wear shoes in the house and I was not wearing any at the time he came in. When checking the attic upstairs, debris fell from the attic onto my carpet, he made no effort to offer to clean it up. They should have a mini-vacuum cleaner with them for these sitiuations. The rep should have explained the process and how it is done.(digging, depth of hole, where they would be placed, range should be given, for ex. 25-30 traps not a single number, price not based on number of traps. Yes, I'm a woman and didn't know to ask. This was a real good learning experience for me for the future. To top it all, the rep came back a day later after the quote but before the work was done to get my credit card number and pay for the job. A day or two after the job was done, I get a bill in the mail stating amount due and showing me as unpaid. I had already paid the rep and threw the bill in the trash. It has since shown on my credit card statement.

I have been using Home Paramount/Loudoun County for over 5 years due to problems with mice visiting without being invited. At my initial appointment, an inspector, along with a technician, showed up to assess the situation and PROMISED they would be able to find entry location and I would no longer have issues. Well....five years later and I am still having the same issue. It is most frustrating because when I call to state I am still having issues, they will send a technician and low and behold...here comes another inspector. I have had an endless number of "inspectors" at my home and none of them can figure out how the little critters are getting into my furnace room. Oh....but one inspector offered services for $300-$500....in which they would go around the entire home (townhome) and close up/plug any possible entry points. I'm sorry...isn't that what your company promised when I signed the contract for quarterly service appointments? They also promised that I would have the same technician for each service call. I have had a new technician almost every other visit. In addition, as one other reviewer noted, their scheduling system is very frustrating. It took over two years for them to stop the automatic scheduling and to call me so I could speak to a live person instead of receiving robot calls. I have foolishly continued to use this company because I have not wanted to take the time to research other options but I will now. I'm tired of wasting my money...

I am dissatisfied with their services. Once when I was returning home, I saw the truck and thought I could drive down for a while and did so. We have ongoing contract with them for 5 an half years. We have annual contract with them. The technician is absolutely excellent. We get the same technician every time and he knows our home. He is very professional. There is a part of their department that makes the customer appointments absolutely ruts. They use to have a system or mail us a postcard a week or 10 days in advance of the annual servicing. We can understand for financial reason they did get away with postcard service; but now they have robot call system that calls in the evening the day before they decide to come out, when we can't even reach anybody in the office to tell them if it is a good day for us or not. We have asked to have a human being call and now humans call lesser than 12 hours notice also. They just don't get that the customer?s time is worth something too and my bottom line feeling is if our technician ever left that company, we will not be using them. They just have no clue when it comes to dealing with the customer's time and terms of setting the appointment; but in terms of the technician and how good job he do, is excellent. It is excellent for the technician and the ability to control or spray for pest. In terms of the job they do it's absolutely excellent; but in terms of their scheduling, it is absolute failure. I hate to put in the middle. I will not recommend anybody to them because of the difficulty in scheduling. Being an existing customer I'm very happy because I get the same technician every time. My house is respectful, nice and very competent. As we gather, they have the same technician for the same geographic reason; so we do get the same person every time. Apparently they do a good job hiring and training their technician. They have just no clue about scheduling. This has been ongoing for 2 and half years now. We have been calling all sorts of numbers, headquarters and spoken to supervisors. The technician will come and sees something needs to be rechecked. He will tell me to call in couple of weeks; so he can come back and look at certain things. The technician is very responsive. They do something very bizarre; it's a waste of money to the company. If we are not home when they have schedule the servicing, they send the technician to do the outside treatment anyway. They then call to do the scheduling for him to come back to do the inside on the other day. If they could just talk to us upfront to find out when it is convenient for us, they can take care of the home in one trip. It's a bizarre way to run a business. Our technician is always on time and run ahead as we never have to wait. Their technicians are absolutely top notch; but the scheduling is not streamlined. It is poorly executed.
