Mike Lyons replaced our hall bath shower fixtures; did a terrific job. Then replaced kitchen sink garbage disposal. He worked steadily and well. He cleaned up afterwards. This is their second job w/ me in the last month. I don't have anymore plumbing jobs planned right now, but when I do, I'll call Stephen P. Lyons!

The whole job went very well. Stephen returned my first call the same day and set up an appointment to fit my schedule. He arrived exactly on time at 7:00 a.m. He had a fine solution to the toilet flange replacement problem; did it quickly and well; cleaned up. Fixed kitchen sink drain also quickly and well. I have him scheduled to come back and do more work.

Didn't see the job being done, but it worked well when we got home. We have done business with Lyons in the past and always been pleased. Maybe we were in their files but, since I wasn't home for the job and there was no way to pay them, they trusted me to mail them a check after I got home. It was a Friday when this happened, so if they didn't do it then, we'd be out of luck until Monday. We really appreciated that and the fact that I called late Thursday and they were able to get there on Friday!

They were fine. I was able to get a hold of them easily. We set up a scheduled time, and they came when they were supposed. They were professional and courteous.

Replaced the valves without any trouble. Also gave advice on where to buy and how to replace a broken water pressure gauge by ourselves.

They were able to respond in a timely fashion and showed up when promised. He was professional and pleasant the entire time. He explained what he was doing each step along the way and showed us where the problem was. When I asked whether he could also repair a toilet he took a look even though it was not part of the original service request and I was fortunate that he had the needed parts on his truck. He repaired the toilet as well. I had no original estimate since this was an emergency situation but the cost was very fair.

They are very reposing and professional. They were very careful not to make a mess. They responded so quickly.

They were very nice when they were there. They are very responsibly. They had done something wrong and they had come back out and fixed it right away for me.

It went really well. He is very professional. He is pleasant to deal with. He cleans up well after himself. He was very respectful of my space and house.

He didn't put in what we wanted. He said the flow had to be constant. The original quotes didn't match.

Was responsive and arrived on time.

I called 5 plumbing companies and received 3 estimates. Mr. Lyons was not the cheapest, but the way he responded to my request for information, I knew he would win the project. He was straight forward, courteous, went the extra mile to get me a competitive price. He was on time and when he and his son finished, you never knew that they were there.

The experience was great from start to finish. Laurie responded to every single email that I sent her before our scheduled appointment. Each response was quick and thorough. Steve and Michael arrived on time. They completed the work quickly. Both, Steve and Michael, are extremely friendly and completely willing to answer questions and offer advice. All of the work completed at my house was done properly and is working fine. I am very happy with their work and have already recommended them to others.

He was very reassuring, cheerful, and informative. He did what was necessary and much cheaper than everybody else. He came even though he was completely booked up because of the emergency I was in. I was really touched by the effort he made. He told us not to worry about the insurance company and that he would help us with that because we were worried.

We used Angie's List to find a new plumber because our previous plumber had stopped working due to a back injury. We researched plumbers on both Angie's List and Washington Checkbook. Mr. Lyons' firm is listed highly in both places, so we called on Monday morning. His answering service says to expect a call back after 4 p.m., but he called earlier that afternoon. I told him the problem, and he said his sons (who work with him, and both hold apprentice licenses according to State of MD licensing records) were both ill so scheduling would be difficult. He asked about Thursday, but we had a conflict, so we made it Friday at 10am. He told me up front his charges, including the $10 additional travel charge. On Friday, he called to ask if he could come earlier. We agreed and he was here before 8:30. He did his work quickly, cleaned up after himself, and gave us a reasonable charge for the part he replaced. We were very happy at the end of it all.

Went great. Plumber came on time, fixed toilet and faucet. The plumber discovered some rotted drywall from a leak and explained how to fix it. I was impressed by the care taken to get every single little piece of tubing just right. This made the job take a long time.

I am very happy with how I was treated by this plumber. He showed up to do the job on time and was easy to get a hold of to schedule the service. I think he is very courteous and professional. I would gladly recommend his company to others who are looking for a reliable plumbing service. He is also very fair on what he charges.

They fixed the toilet on Friday but came back on Monday because it was still leaking. The bathtub is wonderful and the toilet seems to be fixed too. They were very nice, came when they said they would.

They did a great job on my drain! It had been clogged for some time now because of the tweezers I dropped down there. The drain was completely clogged but they fixed it in no time. They were quick to finish and cleaned up great afterwards. They were professional and friendly and they are very reasonable priced for their quality.

One of the best experiences I have had with a contractor. Mr. Lyons provided suggestions for brands/models for me to purchase. They were prompt, fast and very neat. They also provided extra faucet handles at no charge that they happened to have on the truck so I was able to return to the store what I had purchased.

They were responsive, reliable, on time, and professional. They are up front with cost and were right on their estimate

A compression connection failed where the supply line joined an outside hose bibb (spigot). Also had an overly stiff (nearly inoperable) shut off valve in the same line. Contacted Lyons and Sons plumbing by email after finding through Angie's List. They responded quickly (by email) and got back to me the next morning with a $309 estimate. I accepted the estimate and they returned my call promptly and scheduled a service call for just a few days later. They called the night before, as promised, to set a time. I was the plumber's first call of the day, at 7 am. Steve arrived early waited for me to invite him in (6:45). He quickly examined the situation, advised he could reuse my spigot, and drained the line. He soldered the spigot to a short pipe, inserted that from the outside, and soldered it to the supply line. He installed the new lever valve next to the old valve using compression fittings. Work is excellent. He lowered the price (reused my spigot and took less time).

We have used them forever and they are great. Their prices are very reasonable. He will stand behind his work and I have never had a problem with any of his work in 20 years!

It's nice experience over all. They arrived my home on time and completed the works after one and half hour. I am especially satisfied that they reduced the noise of my toilet. They are very friendly and very polite. We will do business with them again.

I discovered serious leak (water coming down through ceiling below leak) on Monday morning and called plumber with whom I had an annual contract. They couldn't come until the next afternoon. I found Stephen Lyons plumbing on Angie's List (which I had just joined two days before :-)), and they were able to make an appointment for the 9-11 window the next morning. Steve and son arrived promptly at 9am and completed their task in just over an hour. In addition to fixing the problem (and having all parts with them), they cleaned up after themselves and also cleaned up the mess made by the leak on the bathroom floor. Price was fair and the job completed well.
