Booking the date of the move was no problem. We had to change the date at the last minute to accommodate a change in closing, and they were very accommodating. Because our settlement was scheduled for 10:00 am, I made it clear at the time that we booked that we needed to be out of the house before 10:00 am. I was assured that this would not be a problem as it was only large furniture, and the movers would be there by 7:00 am to start packing the truck. Well, the day of the move was a disaster - the movers showed up almost two hours late - when I called repeatedly starting at 7:15 am to about 8:30 am, there was no answer, and no one called to give me an update. I finally reached someone, who let me know that the truck had a flat tire en route, so they would be there as soon as they could. USA Movers is located in Halethorpe - if the truck had a flat that early in the morning, why couldn't they send another truck? Needless to say, we were not out by 10:00 am - in fact, they were not done loading up our furniture until about 1:00 pm, 3 hours late. Luckily, our buyers were understanding and let the settlement proceed anyway. It didn't get better once we got to our new house. The movers were surly and uncommunicative. They were also careless and dirty. They dinged up both furniture and walls, as well as left boot marks on freshly cleaned carpeting. We bought the crew pizza and refreshements for lunch, and they left litter all over our driveway and lawn. I would never use USA Movers again, nor would I recommend them to anyone.

To price your move, Movers USA use an item approach. On the phone you talk with a sales person and list the items you are moving and the number of boxes you think you will have. Remarkably it seems to work. We got three bids, two from movers recommended by our realtor and one from Movers USA on Angie's List. The other two companies came out and walked the house with us and gave us an estimate by weight. Movers USA also came out to verify that they were accurate in their pricing. Josh drove from Baltimore and felt we were going to be able to get everything into a 26' truck, same as we were told by the other two companies. The good news was that Movers USA was about $1200 cheaper over all. On the day of the move four men, all of whom worked very hard, wrapped our furniture in blankets, taping them in place. They consistently offered to help us as we were trying to stay one step ahead of them with the packing of the final closet items. We had a refinished antique piano, 115 years old, that we were most concerned about. We also own a grandfather clock, a lovely breakfront and dining table with a very glossy finish which we did not want scuffed or scratched. We did not need to worry. Everything was handled with the upmost of care. The packing itself took almost 10 hours. We did take out additional insurance for full value because the standard coverage (60 cents per pound) would not cover a loss if something happened to the piano or any other valuable piece of furniture. We met them in NC at 11:00 AM the next morning. This time three men were sent to unload the truck. Again, polite, courteous and helpful they worked very hard in the heat of a very humid day unloading the truck. We have not found even a scratch at this point. I am very impressed with this company and would highly recommend them for local or long distance moving.

I can't recommend this company highly enough! I have moved many times in my life, and these guys were the best by quantum leaps. They were courteous and professional, from the minute I got the bid, until the last box was delivered. Moving is completely stressful for anyone, and these guys understood that. They never lost patience, were courteous, respectful. The relocation specialist, Josh, handled everything perfectly. The dispatcher Steve, was also a complete pro. The guys were very nice, and the lead, Angelo, was fantastic - unflappable. What can I say - they were on time, on budget, and great to deal with. Best move I have ever had.

The team was superb from start to finish. They completed the job in a highly professional manner, in a short time than estimated. They went the extra mile to make sure we were happy.

Josh came over to our house and gave us a quote for packing, moving over two days 7 hours one day, 8 hours the other day (because we had a storage room to stop by and get a few chairs and a buffet out of), materials, fuel cost and assembly and unloading boxes into the right rooms. I don't even know where to begin. The crew was supposed to show up at 8am on the first day. They had mechanical difficulties and didn't show up until almost 11am. My young daughters and I left my husband there with the crew and we stayed out of the way. The contract stated that one day would be 7 hours and the other 8 hours, it didn't specify which. When the crew finished unloading and assembling, my husband came downstairs and said that they had just piled boxes in the centers of the rooms and that there was not a way we could get into the rooms. The crew leader, Christian wanted an extra $200 for staying 8 hours, and they wanted payment right then. I said no way, because what was going to guarantee that they would come back the second day. My husband talked to the manager on duty I guess, at the main office and he agreed to take payment at the end of the next day. After the crew left, I went upstairs to see what my husband was talking about and sure enough, all of the boxes were stacked in the center of the rooms, not up against the walls like logic would dictate. Not to mention, we were finding the baby's boxes in our oldest daughter's room, basement boxes and our boxes in my oldest daughter's room and our boxes in the children's bathroom. The next day the crew was supposed to arrive at 8am. I received a call from Josh saying that there was a wreck and traffic so the crew should be here soon. They arrived at 9:30am. My husband was there with the crew again and said that the crew was really moving quickly but he didn't think they were going to be able to go by the storage room and pick up our remaining things there because we didn't want to pay an additional $200 an hour on top of $3500 already. The crew got to our new house and finished unloading by 4:30p. 7 hours total. The crew leader Jose (I think) said that he was not going to charge us for packing materials on the second day which actually put us a little under the $3500 we were quoted. Needless to say that we didn't get our remaining things out of storage or we would have gone over on time and money. Now we have to spend an extra several hundred dollars to get our remaining furniture over to our new house. We had to spend an extra night in a hotel because we could not find any sheets for the beds or bathroom things to take a shower. Then we come back to our house and start to unload boxes and find things like my husband's $300 cowboy hat in the bottom of a box with a bunch of clothes on top of it. Needless to say it is ruined. We found some fragile dragon figurines that we had been collecting for years just thrown in mixed with clothes. None of them were wrapped in paper. All of our electronics except for the TV were just stacked in a box on top of each other and not wrapped individually. We have no idea if they were damaged or not because we haven't gotten to the point of hooking them up yet. Funny thing is that every single piece of wood shelving that came out of our enetertainment center was wrapped in paper. Wood wrapped, electronics not wrapped. I would say that Josh was super nice and was trying really hard to make our experience a good one. I think the crews they have are not quite up to the standard that the company is trying to project. This was not a good experience for us and the second off of Angie's List that was unsatisfactory in service.

Schedule time to arrive was between 8:00 a.m. & 10:00 a.m. They arrived at 8:15 a.m. Worked quickly, taking care to make sure all items needed special care received it. Cleaned up after themselves. Two moves were required. Both done within the 8 hour allotted time. The two moves were done in 7.5 hours. Set up items that need to be set up. Moved a spinet piano that does not have rollers with great care. The four movers were friendly, polite, professional.

Luis and his team were very professional. They were careful with all of our furniture and wrapped everything. They were clean and quick.

Great group, friendly, professional, hardworking, flexible, and went better than expected or hoped. Very happy with them. Would hire them again for sure.

Movers USA were fantastic for our move. They showed up exactly when they said they would, and worked very carefully and quickly to move all our pre-boxed possessions. They also expertly wrapped up all our furniture with padded blankets to ensure that nothing was damaged during the drive. They were very careful not to even graze walls or doorways on their way in or out of the houses, which really impressed me. They did not attempt to force the washer/dryer through the narrow basement door; rather they took the door off its hinges. We moved about two miles, and had accumulated a decade of possessions in our old house. The three man team completed the entire job in six hours. Be sure to tip them!
