Arrived on time, worked hard throughout. Took care with my belongings. Polite and friendly.

Overall the move went very well. The 4 man 2 truck crew arrived at the beginning of the timeframe given by the scheduler. All of our items were already packed prior to their arrival but some of the furniture needed to be packed separately (china cabinet, bar). The crew went to work straight away and did a great job not causing any wall / paint damage as they moved items out. Some furniture needed to be disassembled and re assembled and the crew did a great job on all of those items. After they had packed everything in the house a few crew members helped me move large outdoor plants into our pickup truck ( since they don't move plants / trees). The crew then accompanied my to an off site storage center ( 5 miles away) to collect up the rest of a 10 x 20 storage unit. At our new house, the crew was very careful in bringing items in, and placing the large items where we wanted them. They did a great job re assembling the furniture that needed to be taken apart for the move ( pottery barn storage bed, Matrix girls loft bed, tables with removable legs, etc). After all the furniture and household goods were moved, a couple of crew members helped me move those same large plants that I transported in our pickup. The time estimate given by Josh was pretty spot on. Based on my home inventory he gave me an estimate of 8 to 10 hours. The crew finished at the 10 hour mark and that included the additional stop off at the off site storage site and factoring in that we were moving out a 4 story townhouse with relatively tight stairwells. Kudos On Time Arrival Price Professionalism of the crew Actual time vs estimated time Relatively minor scuffs to both pickup and drop off location ( I think I counted 3 at the pickup and 2 at the drop off location) pretty good in my book. Complaints A few pieces of the furniture had scratches or damage to them that I did not notice during the move in. Items clearly marked for one room were placed in a different room

Pros: cost was good, Gil and James were good. Movers showed up on time and completed the job in two days, as they said. Cons: My good silverware is gone and the claims process is a joke. When I called Movers USA, they said that claims had to be made within five days of the move. Then they referred me to a different company that handles the claims. They said claims had to be made within 14 days. Of course, the first thing they ask you is "have you unpacked every box?" Well, who can unpack every single box in 5 or even 14 days! Then, the amount that they will pay you is ridiculously small. So I couldn't file a claim and would have gotten virtually no compensation even if I had. Besides the cost, I'm upset about the silverware because it was a wedding gift and had sentimental value to me. There were also several pieces of furniture that were damaged. When I pointed those out to the movers at the end of the move, they were quite cavalier about it. I got the impression that damaged furniture happens with most of their moves and is no big deal to them. However, the missing silverware is unacceptable, thus the "bad" overall rating. *Update 2/28/13* I unpacked all of the boxes after the 14 day limit that the claims department gave me. I found the utensil tray but no silverware. *Update 10/03/13* This rating has been revise because my silverware never made it to the new house. After lengthy negotiations with Movers USA and their claims company, they agreed to pay me half the value of the missing silverware. The Complaint Resolution Department of Angie's List was helpful in mediating this issue. However, because the issue was resolved, Angie's List requires all revised ratings to be N/A, A or B, nothing less.

The crew was on time a bit early which was helpful. Everyone worked very hard and were professional and friendly. We moved from a 3rd floor Apt to a terrace level and all 4 of the crew , josh, ever Richard.

Everyone was on time, when it was recognized I would need an extra van, it was obtained quickly. All employees pleasant. All A's

They were very responsive and punctual. however when the furniture and household items arrived, the packing was less than OK. many framed pieces of artwork were not packed in the proper boxes. Many were just jammed together w/o proper padding and stick in a box. There were two guys packing the kitchen. One was very careful and packed everything properly. the other one just put anything that came to hand together. ie., heavy kitchen appliances and fragile wine glasses. many clothing items were just chucked in a box. $300 felt hats were thrown in a box with hiking boots and crushed. Many pieces of stereo and video equipment were improperly packed. boxes arrived crushed and with pieces of amplifiers and tuners sticking out through the boxes. I think if I had been there watching everything they did and correcting them, it would have gone better. Not the best move i've ever had by any means. What is so frustrating is that I picked them and paid more for the move because they were rated so highly on Angie's list.
