I called to get an estimate and provided the square footage of the house, how many bedrooms, and a full list of furniture. I also made sure to let them know that we are a 3rd and 4th floor unit. They provided a quote of a little over $2000 and told me that there was no need for an estimate to be performed in person. I called several times concerned that the pack and move would not be able to be completed within the one day period they insisted on and i couldn't afford to take an unscheduled day off of work. They will not move you on Sunday even if it is to finish a job that went long. The team of 4 movers arrived and I was immediately told that they could not perform the work within the one day period and that they were not prepared to do the job. They initially were going to leave and perform the work at all but I was able to convince them to allow me to sign a new contract and extend the work over 2 days. I was given a new estimate and they got to work. The team was very respectful and friendly and there was no problems at all during the whole day while they packed and loaded the truck. The second big surprise hit when they were finished for the 1st day. The cost for the first day was more than the estimate for the whole job. Since everything was loaded onto the truck there wasn't really anything I could do. I was reminded that the quote I was given that morning was just an estimate. The delivery of our stuff was going to be another $2000 over the nearly $4000 2nd estimate! We had to find a place to stay for the evening since they had all our stuff packed onto the truck and I had to take an unscheduled, unpaid day off work to finish the move. The move into our new place took less time than estimated and in consolation for the fact that they were charging me $4000 more than I anticipated spending they took a $300 off my cost. There were a few scratches to my leather chairs, and a couple nicks on some of my wood furniture, and they broke the frame of a large professionally framed picture, but that is really a minimal amount of damage for the amount of stuff they moved. none of my antique china, glassware, or crystal was damaged which was the most important to me. Over all I was pleased with the work they performed but I felt manipulated into paying more than it should have cost, especially once they performed a second estimate on site. I have no complaints about the movers themselves and their conduct and work was excellent. Just be prepared to pay top dollar for it.

I'm very impressed with Movers, USA. I received the estimate for moving items into storage and another binding estimate for a final move out of state. I also received a nice discount for mentioning Angie's List. The movers arrived at 8:15 a.m. and were finished by 10:00. They were professional, friendly and very efficient. Their fees were very reasonable. I would recommend them.

Alberto was very respectful and very hard working. He explained all details of service and payment very thoroughly. The other men were courteous and worked well - although Alberto was the hardest working of all.

The move went well, although there were some bumps. On the positive side, the movers were incredibly nice and hard working. I felt very comfortable with them in my home and with them loading my things. We have almost completely unpacked and have not found any major damage or breakage. The price was very competitive. I actually got another quote that was considerably higher. Since they had a better price and the Angie's List reviews were very good, I went with Movers USA. A representative came to our house to give us a price quote. The quote was an estimate. I wanted a final cost so I wouldn't be surprised after the move with additional charges. They charged me a little more, but gave me a final cost that would not change, as long as I did not add items to the move. We didn't add any items to the move, but the movers who packed the house said that we far exceeded the weight limit on our quote, so I was happy that I insisted on a final cost in the contract as opposed to an estimated cost. The movers arrived promptly to pack and load the house. It took longer than estimated to pack and load, but they seemed to be working efficiently. As I said, the movers were very friendly and hard working. They carefully wrapped our furniture for the move, and we haven't noticed any damage to our large furniture. The truck was supposed to arrive at noon the next day to unload at the new location. Unfortunately, the truck got a flat tire during the trip. I understand that a flat tire is completely out of the control of the movers, but I was somewhat surprised that the flat tire put them 9 1/2 hours behind schedule. They were supposed to arrive at noon, and didn't arrive until close to 9:30pm. The movers were again very nice and efficient unloading the truck (particularly given how tired they had to have been from the long day). On the negative side, the packing that was done was very odd. You always hear moving stories about how movers will wrap and carefully pack the oddest things, like bars of soap. As expected, we had some of that. So, we unwrapped tic tacs and plastic forks that had been meticulously wrapped and packed. But we also had fragile items that weren't carefully packed at all. Our champagne glasses were individually wrapped in paper, but were packed on the bottom of a huge box, where heavy pots (including a very heavy ceramic dutch oven) were packed on top of them. My glass mixing bowls weren't wrapped at all. Garment boxes were used for hanging some clothes, but some other suits and hanging dress clothes were just jammed in the bottom of boxes. Ties were stuffed in boxes packed between other things, and now they all need to be cleaned and pressed before I can wear them again because they are a wrinkled mess. Shoes were thrown into whatever box was available, regardless of what damage could be done to the other items in the box. They packed all of our non-perishable food. I should have done a better job of cleaning out those cabinets before they came, but to further illustrate my point, there were bags of chips packed at the bottom of a box with heavy canned food items packed on top of them. It seems that they have some guys who are meticulous in packing, and others who just didn't care. With all of that said, we haven't seen any major damage. Even the glass bowls that weren't wrapped survived in tact. The only damage so far that I have seen is that one of the burners on our grill no longer works, but its hard to see how that would be the movers fault. Perhaps the jostling around in the truck during the drive loosened something inside the grill. Overall, we had a good experience with MoversUSA. I would consider using them again, but would want to either pack the boxes myself or talk to their management about the packing process to ensure that things are packed in a better manner.

Setting up the move was extremely easy. Sent them an inventory and got a price quote. I was very concerned with the price stability once the truck was loaded. Josh was very helpful in walking me through how they work/pack etc and assured me that they would honor the estimate. On-line booking extremely easy. Crew showed up promptly as scheduled. They were very professional and took great care with my furniture. They were also very nice. No damage to any of the furniture and only a minor drywall nick or two - spackle kinds of things - not a big deal for me. At the delivery location, again very professional. They had to move a couple of pieces at the destination. The crew gladly did it. It was all good.

Overall a bad experience. The originating side experience was decent; they sent four people who arrived on time, packed and loaded everything pretty quickly, paid some attention to detail like thoroughly wrapping couch and wooden table. The bad experience started on the receiving end. They didn't deliver for 3 weeks, at the extreme tail end of their window. Even after going around a couple of times to pin down a delivery time they were late. When they finally showed up they hemmed and hawed about the distance from my door to where the truck was parked. Although they did warn ahead of an extra charge of maybe $75 for extra distance, they ended up charging me $200+! All could have been avoided if they could have told me delivery time ahead so that I could reserve a space for them. Then, they only had two people to unload the truck and bring into the new place so it took ALL DAY. The driver didn't do anything, just sat in the truck and came up and yelled at them to hurry up every once in a while. Somewhere between the pickup and my delivery all the boxes got absolutely mashed; many broken items such as dishes for which I received no compensation because it was a self pack. They must have left everything in a damp warehouse for days, or maybe the truck got wet - solid wood bookshelves smelled like mold and didn't go away after a few days. Also couch although wrapped had a stain that smelled of mold. I ended up having to dump the couch and the bookshelves. They also lost a few things which again I couldn't claim because they originating side (and I) had missed them on the listing. Also damaged our solid wood table - even though they wrapped it on the originating end at some point they must have dragged it across concrete sidewalks/floors as the ends were damaged. Then they wouldn't accept my claim for this as I didn't have before pictures of the table to prove when the damage happened. Table did have some nicks which they noted on the listing, but nothing like when I received it. At the end they left someone else's desk chair for us to deal with so they wouldn't need to load it back on the truck and file paperwork. I think this is some sort of chop shop operation. The truck driver was some sort of independent contractor who just gets loads and circles back and forth across the country, and picks up guys to unload sort of randomly - this is what the guys who unloaded told me, Not really a professional, dedicated moving company. I made mistakes here to be sure - I chose the cheapest insurance so that reimbursement was based on the overall weight not actual value. I didn't have before pictures of anything so couldn't prove damage to the table mentioned above. I ended up settling for a tiny amount, tiny fraction of what was actually lost/damaged during the move. I would NOT recommend using this company for a cross-country move - too many problems.

The entire experience was very good. The estimate went a little over but that is because it was an hourly rate and it was raining ALL day and the guys took extra good care to wrap all of the furniture to make sure it wasn't ruined in the rain. They arrived when they said they would and worked every second of the 11.5 hours they were on the job. The rain made the move much harder, but they were very careful with all of our stuff. I felt that the price was reasonable given the amount of stuff we had. They also wrapped all of our TVs and full-length mirrors very carefully and nothing at all broke during the move. They were very professional and worked very hard. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

They arrived within the 2 hour arrival window given. They packed our items, including wrapping an fragile items. There was some concern that they wrapped our flat-screen TV with moving blankets instead of putting it in a crate, but nothing broke. Two issues arose that led us to give a low rating: 1) It took them much longer than was reasonable to get from our previous home to our new home (the driver denied that he got lost). This caused them to go over the estimated time by at least an hour. We were able to negotiate with them to remove the charge for that additional hour. 2) When we returned to our previous house the next day to get our perishable items, we found there were many item they failed to pack. We were not able to supervise the packing due to work so my husband's mother did that. Once they began loading the truck, she took a cab to the new home in order to meet them there. It appears that without someone actively checking behind them, they left completely random items behind. For instance, all bakeware except for 2 bowls were packed from one cabinet. They packed only half of what was under a bathroom sink and randomly left the other half. They left all of the toiletries in the bathroom. The vast majority of what was left behind was safe to move (i.e. not considered dangerous or hazardous such as CLF lightbulbs). We filled 4 of the large size storage bins with all of the items they left behind. Made us very glad that we negotiated the removal of the extra hour charge. We had to use that hour of our own time to get the leftovers!

.The movers arrived promptly at 8 a.m.( I was told they would arrive between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., so they were very punctual). It was a fairly large move with a good amount of furniture and a lot of heavy boxes. It was a four man crew. They did an excellent job! Everything, including my grandparents antique furniture, arrived at the new home, just as it had left the old one. The movers were polite, professional, and careful with my stuff. By 2:30pm everything was completed. I was impressed by their efficiency and couldn't be more satisfied! I am going to be moving some more stuff, from my Dad's house to the new house in the next 2 months and will most certainly be using them again.
