+ -1 moreKen does great work! His repair bills are in-line or a little below what other car repair shops charge. Ken backs his work with a 12 month, 12K mile warranty. Other repairs shops will give you a 90 days, 3,000 mile warranty. Ken is the owner and answers the phone whenever I call. He always takes the time to answer all of my questions. He is honest, does great work, and the price is right. That's about as good as it gets in these times.
Description of Work: I take all my cars to Autoservice Urbana. I've had struts, timing belt, transmission flush done at Ken's shop.

+ -1 moreMy AC wasn't working in my Chevy Tahoe. Ken was able to quickly determine that the system had a leak before attempting a recharge. I had previously taken it to another local shop last fall where they charged me a bunch of money - only to have it stop blowing cold two days later when I was 250 miles away from home. Ken was also very thorough when replacing the brakes and rotors - cleaning the hub surfaces and making sure everything was properly done. He's very thorough in making sure the job gets done right the first time! Thank you!!
Description of Work: My Chevy Tahoe needed brakes, oil change, and the freon recharged.

+ -1 moreService went extremely well. Ken is the owner, performs all of his own work. He is extremely honest, and reasonably priced. He has innovative ideas that elsewhere might cost much more in labor or parts. He is certified in many auto repair divisions. If there is a Master Certification, he would definitely fit the bill as a Master Technician.
Description of Work: Changed oil, all spark plugs, flushed brake fluid, transmission fluid changed , front and rear differential fluid changed.

Description of Work: "My vehicle needed an expensive repair. Before he started work on the repair, Ken (the owner and mechanic) phoned to notify me of another serious problem that I hadn't been aware of. Based on this information, I sold the vehicle ""as is"" without any repairs. I was grateful to find an *honest* mechanic who put my best interests ahead of his profit. (He could have waited to notify me of the second problem until *after* he was done with the original work, for which I would've had to pay him.) Since that first experience, I've used Ken a number of times for diagnosis and repair of my vehicles and I've always been pleased with his work. His rates seem to be somewhat lower than the dealer's. |The only drawback is that this is a one-man shop, so appointments generally must be scheduled more than a few days in advance. "
