They are awesome. I have used them on 3 different moves. The first time they were referred to me by a real estate agent. They were so great. They have la very seasoned crew. WE almost know the personally after 3 moves. They stay with them, and longevity. They have amazing follow up. They take care during the move to throw down the floor protection covers. They have a storage capability so if you need to put some stuff in storage for awhile between moves. A bunch of strong guys did the move. The same guys each time. I have moved in my career. My wife and I have moved 11 times of the 9 years, and we have use other moving companies. But they are by far the best. These guys are outstanding. We live in a 2 million dollar home and we are concerned about things. His team pays great attention to detail, and they are very careful. I have all the insurance and stuff. I haven't had any damage so I can't tell you about that. There hasn't been anything damage in any treatments I have had from them. I don't have to deal with the repair with things or anything like that. But I bet they would be as professional as they are with everything else. Best company I have ever used. I am going to give A's across the board. I think we had 4 people. These were local moves and one of the moves got done in one day they loading in the morning and unloaded in the after noon. the first one they were working in a massive home and they loaded one day and unloaded the next.

They did a nice job. I'm very happy They did a very good job. It was a good 6-8 drive from our previous house. They had two workers in both locations. There was one guy who drove the truck, the others were local. They were very careful with everything.

Olympia was my last of 4 estimates. They were not the least expensive. My experience with Olympia was terrific from the get go. James, the estimator was honest and informative. He explained exactly how their company would handle the move. The movers were punctual, friendly, polite, and extremely efficient and professional. I found that to be the case picking up my household goods and delivering them. Candy, the moving coordinator, was friendly, professional, and really led me through the process. This move was our first in 30 years. Olympia made it a positive experience.

Olympia Moving was AMAZING! We had a rather difficult move and they could not have been any more professional or accommodating! We were moving out of our existing home plus we had belongings in 3 separate storage units at 2 different locations. They were able to get everything from all locations to our new home all in 1 full day! They showed the utmost care in handling our belongings and they are masters at packing the truck and utilizing every last inch of space! The delivery and unload was just as great as the loading process! Fast, efficient and courteous each and every step of the way! Hiring professionals such as Olympia is the best money ever spent!

Good work. One item was damaged but I was reimbursed. They have an online site that is easy to use. They were late showing up to unpack but overall, good.

Ben was very professional and willing to help me with all aspects of relocating belongings. He was resourceful and knowledgeable, working out a shipping route that saved thousands of dollars. The coordinators, Melissa and Candy, were also very helpful, top-knot have customer service. The movers were uniformed, worked tirelessly and carefully. Great professionalism all around!

As a retired army family who has made many, many moves over the years, this one was one of the best due to the excellent customer service provided by everyone at Olympia Moving and Storage. We had to reschedule twice at the last minute because of a 30 inch snowfall and the condition of the rural gravel road we were moving to but the folks at Olympia were very understanding and very accommodating about rescheduling on a convenient day. Candy was extremely helpful with our scheduling needs. On the day of the actual move, Joe, John, and David, as well as Florin (who joined them on the second day) were terrific! They were pleasant, polite, hard working, and very considerate. I feel as if we hit the jackpot when these young men were assigned to our move! Thank you, Olympia, for a stress-free move

The movers came on time and were ready to work. They were very attentive to our furniture and packed our china with due care. They were careful to not cause any damage to our things or to the walls and ensured that everything was moved promptly and carefully. It was a particularly cold day in Virginia but the team worked around the freezing cold weather. Our furnishings
will be held in Olympia's warehouse until we sell our home at which time we will move the remaining furniture in the house over to Olympia for storage until we find a home at our final destination. Notably, we ended up having to add a piece of furniture to storage after the movers left. We were required to pay a nominal fee to access our storage crate and were very pleased to see the
diligence with which the piece was wrapped and inserted into the crate. We are very pleased with the whole experience and would highly recommend them to anyone needing to move.

As ever, Olympia was extremely professional, and also offered a personal touch in the midst of what is traditionally a highly stressful life event. Packing and moving teams worked hard, were respectful of my wishes and of my belongings, and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work. Dealing with Candace and James in the corporate office is a joy; they are both extremely proactive and responsive, and James goes out of his way to keep the price down and is very flexible when move dates change. Olympia is worth every penny, if just for peace of mind!

Everything about the experience was outstanding. The crew came right on time and were very courteous and responsive. The uses extra padding and bubble wrap for all of our valuables and we experienced no damage during the process.
They packed up our kitchen which was a big help. We did the unpacking and by doing that we could really see the attention to detail that they used to make sure that nothing would break or get chipped during the move.
The team worked tirelessly, taking just a short lunch break in the middle of the day. The actual bill came in a bit less than our estimate because the team worked so hard.
I strongly recommend Olympia and would use them again the next time we move (but hopefully that is not for a long long time).

Truly amazing service from start to finish. Everyone I dealt with at Olympia was professional, courteous, and there to help. The move coordinator called me a week before the move to make sure that everything was on track and emailed helpful tips and reminders during the lead-up to the actual move. The moving crew was exceptional--so careful with handling all my furnishings and belongings. It is obvious they take pride in their work; they were pleased they completed the job ahead of the projected time schedule! A field supervisor dropped by unannounced to see how the move was going--a sign of a company that values and ensures quality. Before they left, the moving crew made sure to ask if I needed help with unpacking anything. I even got a call from the move coordinator the day after the move to see how everything went. Olympia turned a stressful event into a very positive experience. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services.

It went perfectly. The crew arrived several minutes early and instantly began working and never stopped. I don't know when I have ever seen a harder working bunch or one that demonstrated better teamwork. They were very fast yet meticulous in the care with which they wrapped and taped our property to protect it. Some of the furniture required particularly special handling and the crew was simply expert in doing this. I have absolutely no complaints about Olympia's work and highly recommend them.

All went well. Olympia, especially their customer service representative Candace, did everything in their power to make the move a smooth one. Olympia's crew arrived on time, worked very efficiently, and had my household effects packed and loaded very quickly. The men were pleasant and seemed to take pride in their work.
The delivery spread promised was between June 1 and June 8. Unfortunately, the delivery was actually made on June 9 but I could live with that. My goods were well packed and everything arrived in great shape. I would definitely recommend Olympia.

UPDATE: After posting this review, the company contacted me and apologized profusely for their failure to communicate the additional cost of travel time as I mentioned below. They were very helpful in working with me to find an equitable solution and stated that they very much wished I had contacted them directly first. I am happy with the resolution we reached and feel that this miscommunication will not happen with future clients. They seem to genuinely care about taking care of their clients and I have very much revised my opinion of their professionalism and service.
The movers showed up within the allotted window. They moved things out of the old house and into the truck quickly. They wrapped up furniture with blankets to make sure it was well protected. They were very efficient. When we arrived at the apartment they did have some trouble finding a solution for unloading, but they worked hard to find the best possible situation for unloading and then moved things into the apartment quickly. They were polite.
Now for the negative. First, the minor issue that we kept being promised an estimate "soon" and had to call or email multiple times before receiving one. But that was relatively minor. The biggest negative was a hidden cost. The quote was for 4 hours; they showed up at 8:30am and finished at 1:00pm. We expected that we would owe them for this extra 1/2 hour. But then they told us they charged travel time--1/2 hour before their arrival that morning and 1 hour after their afternoon departure.
I don't necessarily disagree that they should be paid for travel time, but it was not mentioned anywhere in our estimate or in the signed contract we received from the company, etc. Nor was the location they were traveling to or from ever disclosed, so it would have been impossible for us to estimate travel costs in advance.
Updated to add that I spoke more with the company and they were kind enough to refund us the travel costs and apologized very sincerely for the trouble. I doubt this problem will happen again with future clients, and since they were so responsive and helpful I have revised my estimate of their professionalism.

Olympia was great, they were on time, they never stopped moving and going the whole time, and they came in under budget! They were careful and asked for instructions anytime they didn't know where things went. Couldn't have been more pleased!

We were extremely pleased with the results of the move. From the initial estimate to resolution of our few damages, we have had great communication and assistance with the entire process. James Gilmartin Vice President of Olympia went out of his way to be sure we were kept informed of every change and step in our move. He called us on weekends and evenings not just during regular business hours. When we called and left a message or emailed we always received a timely response.
We were supposed to have a smaller truck for only our belongings but the truck was not available so we ended up on an 18 wheeler with 2 other moves. The truck was too large to come into our driveway so the movers had to use dollies and carry our things up a long driveway. It was 90+ degrees and there were 3 movers. They worked all day with minimal breaks. They were wonderful. They took great care with our things as well as with avoiding any damage to the walls and floors in the house.
The driver Marcel managed the details of planning and loading. He informed us of when he planned to arrive in South Carolina to unload. They arrived as they said they would and unloaded the furniture again carrying everything up the driveway with dollies so as not to damage the driveway.
If you have a local or east coast move I would highly recommend this company. Best move we have ever done. Most reliable, responsible, and accommodating company to work with.
