Description of Work: Three separate crews performed work. One crew installed a new liner in the chimney and repaired brick in the fireplace. A second repaired a retaining wall and did pointing to the outside of the house. The third cleaned the ash pit and repaired the ash dump. All three crews showed up on-time, did excellent work and left the place clean. Very professional and much more affordable than another company we spoke with. I have already recommended them to friends.

Description of Work: There was a lot of work that needed to be done, a lot of which was not done or done improperly last year by Chimney.Com. This company was very professional and thorough including staying well past dark (around 7:30) to finish the work.Will definitely use them again next year.

We learned that much more extensive work is required on our chimney, and a no-cost estimate will be forthcoming. Accordingly, no work was done on our chimney, and American Professional Chimney & Masonry did not charge us for their visit.

Description of Work: Two representatives arrived on time and began to bring cleaning and coverage equipment and materials into my home to clean the chimneys and protect the floors and carpets. They brought a ladder which they leveraged on the front gutters of my home and proceeded to go up on the roof to take photos of the outside of the chimney and the inside of the stacks. The dusted and vacuumed the chimneys and then shared the pictures of the insides of the chimneys. They identified some additional work that in their estimation should be done immediately. I reviewed the photos, asked that they send them to me for further review, and asked that they get back with me regarding the full estimate of the work on the chimneys. I have never heard from them again. The fact that they dropped the ball on the follow-up, especially after stressing the urgency of the repairs, makes me question the initial assessment. They did a nice job of vacuuming the chimneys but I cannot recommend them for serious chimney repair. |

As you can see from our numerous reviews for minor and major chimney repairs, we specialize in chimney cleaning and repairs of all sorts. 95% of the time we leave a full report including prices when are at your house. We would never hold back giving you an estimate because we didn't think you really needed the work. That's not the way we do things here. We certainly wouldn't be Super Service Award winners for four years straight and this year in 10 separate categories by doing that sort of thing. We don't allow any sort of high-pressure sales or manipulative sales or anything of the sort. As a consumer, myself, I detest that sort of thing and our reputation depends on us being just as honest and truthful and straightforward as we can possibly be. I'm very grateful to each and every customer that we have and Catherine and I both impress on our employees, who incidentally are all wonderful people, to treat our customers as if they were family. I couldn't be more serious about that. I totally apologize for you not having received your estimate. The buck stops here, with me. If you still want an estimate, we will come out and inspect your chimney and give you a free estimate. I'd be more than happy to take a look at it myself.
