I spoke to Manuel initially over the phone and he provided me ball park quotes over the phone and then we set a time to meet on July 6, late morning. I asked for a fixed time frame and he insisted on late morning as the time frame. Then on July 6 once it was the past late morning and into the afternoon, he called me and indicated that there was another homeowner that called and had an emergency that he needed to tend to. I said okay, I understand, and rescheduled for July 7 around 3:30 - 4:30 pm. He did not show up, and I have yet to receive a phone call in response to this. I called the office, and was told that i was not even on the schedule so I cancelled as he didn't have me on the books at the office. Very unprofessional and will not consider them for the job. All in all the rest of the folks that are rated well have been fantastic. -------------- Update --------------------------- After they contacted me, apologized, and were willing to work with me,, I figured I should take the risk. I went ahead and agreed to get the doors done by them. I worked with their sales guy/installer JR and came up with what I wanted and what needed to be done b/c my Garage was setup a little uniquely. He was fantastic and took all the details down. However, somewhere in the process of ordering - and it is my understanding that the Owner did this, the correct doors were not ordered. So when JR came to install the doors, we went to confirm that my order was correct, and it turned out that the doors were incorrect. I had ordered long panel, and the owner had ordered short panel - even though in my signed estimate it was written long panel. Well the conversation after that with the Owner was very rude. He said look I will knock of $300 total from your purchase price. I said I dont have a problem paying the full price we agreed upon initially, I just want the right doors. That is when he got rude and said, just b/c we "mistreated" you a little, you are getting this. I don't want to deal with you or want your business. I will just give you all your money back. To me that was completely not taking responsibility for something he had messed up. JR was apologetic and really tried to remedy the situation, but to no avail with the Owner. I tried to work with the Owner, but after much frustration, I finally said, well you can lose all your money on these doors, since you cannot return them, or give me an additional discount. He agreed, said some rude comments and got off the phone. If I hadn't been getting such a good deal, and such a great guy like JR working on this, I would not have continued to engage with this company. In the end, I have had these garage doors for now 6 weeks, and they work wonderfully. JR did a fantastic job and ensured that I was happy with the work. If it hadn't been for JR, I would not have upgraded their grade from an E to a C. The owner clearly has a wonderful employee in JR.

Derrick called ahead to indicate when he would arrive and he arrived on time. He quickly performed maintenance for both garage doors and replaced the rollers. After the work was done, he went over what he did and showed me what parts of each door I should lubricate. Derrick is very friendly and clear in his explanations. He is the ultimate professional. I would definitely call on this company for future maintenance and problems, if any arise.

The called 15 minutes before coming, were very professional, and explained everything they were going to do in detail before performing the work. They were both very polite and professional, and I would highly recommend them for garage door service and use them again in the future.

Derrick was running a bit late due to more lengthy repairs in the morning but did call when he was within range of the house. He was very friendly and professional and went straight to work installing replacing old plastic rollers with newer quieter ones for my garqage doors. He fixed a single safety cable that needed repair at no additional cost. Overall it was a very positive experience and I would recommend him and his company any time.

Registered for Big Deal offer on 6/15/2011. Schedule appointment on 6/16/2011. Service was perfomed with my approval 3 huros ahead of schedule Precision Doors called 30 minutes prior to arrival. Completed service within 1 hours. Technicians were professional and explained what the service included. They also made recommendations to mitigate safety concerns. I would use Precision Doors for fuure work and recommend them to friends and neighbors.

Everything was done well by Precision Doors from the estimate through completion of the work.

After requesting a quote, I received one in the mail within a week of my phone call. Eventhough I had indicated I wanted the best quality, highest R-value doors availble, the quote was for medium grade doors, of a relatively low R-value. The vendor didn't even bother including any literature or specs. I had to look that up on the web (no big deal). But given there was no effort to show me samples, sending some literature might have been nice. I ended up using Overhead Door Company of Baltimore, who did a great job and installed what appeared to be a good quality set of doors.

Sprinhg was broken and door wouldn't open. Called on Sunday, they came next day, Memorial Day. Gave a time range called when on the way as promised. The technician, Derrick, was professional and helpful. Work was done in an hour or so. No mess. Works great. I didn't shop price so I can't comment there except that it was about what I saw on other reviews.

It went well. The tech was on time and called when he was enroute. I'm a little annoyed that he didn't even touch the unit; just pronounced it dead from the doorway.

I contacted Precision Door late in the day, and the technician Derrick, was out first thing the next morning. He was pleasant, professional, honest, and very knowledgeable. He also spoke highly of his company-how much he likes working for them, the pride in his work, and he spoke highly of the President Mr. Hall. The problem was fixed quickly, and I was able to a 10% coupon. The price was extremely fair,and they even did a 25 point safety checklist as part of the service. After Derrick left I personally called the president, who immediately answered the phone. I let him know this was the best company I have ever dealt with in my life and that Derrick was amazing. Mr. Hall said he was proud and happy with all of his employees, and that everyone's first priority is to make the customer happy. He spoke highly of Derrick, who has been with the company for a very long time. I would never go to any other garage door service. I would highly recommend Precision Door. I would give them an A+++++. I never expected them to come out so quickly and professionally.

We purchased a house and a garage door had no remote and had a roller bend and off the track. I called this company and they sent a repairman the next day. He had roller fixed and a new remote programed quickly. The door works perfect and I had a great experience with the company.

The installer was punctual. He removed the old door and installed the new one. He was very professional and worked in a very timely manner. The work site was clean of debris and boxes. He hauled away everything from the old door. I would highly recommend this company to my friends and neighbors. Their quality was okay but a higher quality door would have only cost more money.

They were excellent. I got him through Angie's List. They did an estimate immediately. They sent somebody out within a couple of days. The person who they sent out was so efficient you could tell that he had done it a hundred million times because he got the old door out quickly and put up the new one. He made all the adjustments and cleaned up very well after himself. He was in and out of here within a couple of hours and I would not hesitate to highly recommend them. It was the first time and hopefully the only time I have them out.

Great. Called them late one afternoon and they were there the next morning.

Called on Sunday afternoon because our garage door spring broke and the door would not open. One of our cars was stuck inside. Their ad in the phone book says "phones are answered 24 hours" and "fast repair". Left a voice message and as of Monday 3pm, no one has called back. We also called Fred Johnson Company. Someone from Fred Johnson called back first thing MOnday morning and they were at our house within 2 hours and quickly completed the repair. Would have expected the same prompt response from Precision based on the reviews.

The technician called me about 25 minutes before his arrival to let me know that he was on his way. Once he arrived, Derrick courteously introduced himself and identified himself as the representative for Precision Garage Doors. We walked over to the garage door and I pointed out the problem. He raised the door and immediately noticed that I had a couple of rollers missing. Derrick also stated that the garage door lacked safety cables and he noted that they could cause a danger. He was matter-of-fact and didn't push me to pay for the additional service. Impressed because he'd didn't give me the "hard sale" to purchase a new garage door (this one is at least 30 years old and a bit battered) or the safety cables, I asked that he give me an estimate for replacing the rollers and the cables. He gave me the estimate. Derrick completed the job in a timely, efficient manner. After he completed his work, he showed me the replacement rollers and safety cables. My only complaint, and it's a small one, is that the original estimate did not include the cost of labor - so I was a bit surprised when the final bill included an additional charge for labor. The labor charge wasn't excessive so I didn't quibble about it. I would definitely hire this company again!

I received excellent service from all involved...the estimate was very prompt and the installer arrived on schedule and did an outstanding job.

Excellent work! He showed up on time and finished in 2 hours. He hooked up the garage door opener and programmed the remote keypad. I didn't have a remote for the car, but he found one in his truck and gave it to me. I would highly recommend this company.

Absolutely wonderful company to deal with. Came out the next day, called before they arrived, and performed the repairs after explaining all the options. Recommend them without reservation.

probably due to cold weather and the age of the springs, one of my garage door torsion springs (springs used to assist in opening and closing the garage door) snapped and needed to be replaced. I read online that it is best to go ahead and get both of them replaced at the same time as failure of the second spring was most likely imminent. I also determined that while I could probably do the work myself, it would take significantly longer, the parts are not the easiest to order, and there was some tooling and risk involved with the work. I called three Angie's list providers and obtained three quotes. Precision Garage Doors was not the lowest, or the highest quote that I received. I should also mention that they came out in less than 24 hours and on a weekend day. If you factor those two aspects in, then their price while higher than the lowest I was quoted, did have additional value and therefore was a comparable competive rate. This also helped because I did not have to take time off from work to have the job done. Precision also did not require measurements on the door or the weight of the door, just a general description. This helped because I was able to schedule the service call quicker. It makes sense to need the specific door information, but when you are at work and can't get to it, or don't necessarily know what you are looking for, or how to weigh a door, or how to figure out what springs were installed, it is a plus that they were able to come out and do the work with lay person provided information. Precision also uses flat rate pricing to an extent which is a plus as some firms charge hourly, or it is difficult to understand the labor pricing. I spoke with Harry who was knowledgeable and helpful. The technician who arrived gave a courtesy call 30 minutes before arrival and arrived in the 2 hour window that I was given the day before. The tech was prompt and performed the spring replacement quickly. There were some slight communication difficulties at the beginning of the service call, however, in all fairness they were resolved quickly and became a non-issue. The warranty for the service was also somewhat different than what I was quoted on the phone (1 year vs. 10 years) but in my opinion 1 year should be sufficient, and anything over would have been a bonus. I expect the springs will last 5 years, hopefully longer as it appears the original springs lasted close to 20 years. All things considered I am giving an A rating and would recommend Precision Garage Doors.

The work was fine. It took them a while to get the door panel and to get out here to do it. I would use their services in the future too.
