Unfortunately because of the state of my garage door, the technician was not able to perform the tune up. He discussed a few options for me in regards to repairing my barely functioning garage door. I was able to get refunded since they could not perform the service. I would use them again because I feel they would not try to take advantage of their customers.

They came out and told me my garages did not need to be serviced. They were cooperative and told me to get a refund for the deal. I had a good experience with them.

Brian did an excellent job, was on time and performed the inspection to my expectations. He gave professional advise and I would recommend this company to others and use them again. With that said I need to explain why I couldn't give an overall rating of "A" which has no reflection against Brian. My initial appointment was made for 1/19/13 between 8 & 10. The morning of my appointment I received a call from the call center and spoke with Calah. She told me that Precision was not affiliated with Angie's List which came has a shock. I tried to explain that there must be a mix up somehow, somewhere. She was so rude and just didn't want to work with me to get to the bottom of this situation. After drilling her and being on hold for sometime, that the Frederick location was not a Angie's List contractor. I told her I didn't make an appointment with that location but with Laurel. She places me on hold again and tells me that Laurel also isn't on Angie's List. When I asked about my refund for the "Big Deal", she simply told me to take that up with Angie's List. When I asked to speak with a supervisor she said none was available. Then I asked for the manager's name of the Laurel location, she refused to give it to me. However, once I contacted Angie's List, I was contacted by Precision immediately and got everything resolved. Kudos to Derek who I made the first appointment with and Christina, the 2nd. They were friendly and courteous representing the company with professionalism.

The company is good about providing an estimate of parts cost, calling you to let you know they are coming and explaining everything to you. The technicians were very professional and polite. They worked efficiently and took less time than they estimated. Overall, the experience was very good.

Called company due to broken spring. Garage doors (2) had not been serviced for at least five years. Response was prompt and serviceman came at designated time. Discussed condition of hardware on both doors and decided to change all the hardware. Price quoted was $1200. Then added to that $180 for safety cables. Total bill came to $1813 minus 10% Angie's list discount. Bill was about $250 above orginal estimate and included a $50 service charge. I think the total price was too high and I would not recommend this firm on that basis. I regret not getting a second price quote . Here is what I was charged. Decide for your self. Bill Breakdown: 4 Springs-- $600, 2 set of rollers-- $400, 2 sets of cables - $180, 2 sets of safety cables --$180, 2 sets of pulleys -$300, service charge--$ 50. Before giving permission for work to begin, I would get a price estimate in writing and not depend on a verbal estimate. Also, unless it is an emergency, I would get a second price quote.

Bought a coupon from Angie's list for garage door tuneup. Guys showed up on time, and did a great job. Was having major problems with the door for months - tried to fix it myself, but nothing worked. Turned out there were several things that needed fixing. Quick, great job,and great price.

I got the big deal in AL and paid an extra $45 to have reinforcement installed. The guys were extremely curteous and prompt. They performed the work in about 30 minutes to my complete satifaction.

The specialist arrived on time and explained the options. I ended up paying more than the AL big deal because of the second garage door. The results were very good. The garage openers were substantially quieter.

Work was done quickly and with knowledge. My only limitation was the approximate cost estimate given by the telephone staff. Some of the added work would be required for all installations where there is no previous automatic door.

I am a repeat satisfied customer. This time, I bought a "Big Deal" coupon through Angie's List for a complete garage door tune-up with an option to receive new rollers. Derrick, the technician, did a 25-point safety check of all components, lubricated the door and installed a set of neoprene rollers. Derrick was very professional and completed the work efficiently. The door now operates smoothly and quietly. It is reassuring to know all parts are functioning correctly and that the door is properly balanced. I had previously benefitted from Derrick's services when our garage door spring broke in October 2011. At that time, I called Precision as it was a highly rated company on Angie's List and it also provided a discount to Angie's List members. I was very pleased to have the springs replaced within a few hours of my call as it was impossible to move the car out of the garage. I highly recommend Precision as it is a company that demonstrates that they value their customers.

Precision Garage Doors did a great job. The tech was on time and polite and fix the doors for the price that was quoted. I would definitely recommend them.

Job done very well. Total price surprised me to be so high. $700 price listed above may be higher than actual paid amount. Seemed like a lot of money for total amount of time spent.

Called to have a broken garage door spring replaced. They initially told me someone would be out later that day, but then called back to tell me they couldn't be there until the next morning between 8-10am. Next day at 9am they called to tell me the repairman was running late, and that they were having trouble getting hold of him. At 10:30am I called them and they told me the technician was not able to come to work that day.

The gentleman servicing our garage was professional. He called when on his way and when he arrived. The gentleman seemed very knowledgeable about the door and was able to open the door with the broken remote. He completed the 25 point inspection and then called to tell what he found and the prices for the repairs while I waited inside. As part of the inspection, he sprayed lubricant onto some of the parts of the door. When I went back outside, he did not show me what he found rather just quoted the repairs. The prices they charged were double what we could have purchased them at the local home improvement shop. (I had priced them out the day before.) For example, he offered a universal remote for $60. I had already found one at Lowes and Home Depot for $35. He quoted me for a wireless keypad a price of $80 yet a similar model is available for $30-35 online. The deal coupon offered a either a set of rollers (which he quoted at $180) or a wireless keypad. We opted for the keypad, which he installed in 5 minutes. The whole service inspection and installation was approximately 30 minutes in length. I do understand that we were paying for the professional to do the installation hence the up charge for the products versus doing it ourselves. The C rating is for the gentleman not showing me directly what the issue was with the garage door and for the double prices catching me off guard.

A spring on one garage doors had broken. We called Friday afternoon and they came Saturday morning so service was very prompt. They had all needed supplies on the truck. They replaced the broken spring and much of the other moving mechanism on the door. The door is working well now but I thought the cost was amazingly high for what was done. Perhaps I am just living in the past as far as cost goes!

This deal worked out well. We ended up choosing the ultra quiet rollers. Nothing really stood out as above and beyond, but good deal overall.

This was my first "Big Deal" from Angies. It was for the garage door tuneup, including roller ball replacement. The tech showed up on time and began work immediately with no fuss. All work was performed as agreed upon in the deal and no up-selling was attempted. After the work, the tech demonstrated the door function and the improvement. Very satisfied and would use them again if the need arises.

He immediately diagnosed the overall condition of the door, which was poor, and recommended additional repairs above the original big deal- which was expected.

Originally we had called Precision for repair of the existing door opener. It turned out it was no longer practical to keep the old unit. Being so close to Christmas, we were in no mood to spend money on the garage. That was until we had a conversation with Henry the manager. Explanation on why a new opener should be considered was logical and precise. He clearly provided information on the capabilities and the mechanical improvement of a new opener. Above all, Henry suggested to us a model that fitted comfortably in our budget. The installation toke approx. 1 & a 1/2 hour. It went smoothly as well.

Exceptional overall experience. Arrived on time, timely inspection, and provided feedback prior to departure. Professional and courtesy technician.
