The Elite Service Plumber

I had 2 toilet flushes that had a slow water leak. I had bought the replacement parts from Home Depot to be used during the repair. The provider replaced the internal flush system in both the toilets. There were 2 guys and they were done in 40 mins with all the repairs. The total cost of the service was $358 - $189 for the first and $169 for the second. Since I had a $49 coupon that was worth $100; the final price was $258 ($358 - $100). Personally, $358 for this repair, that took 40 mins, is way too much!! Even after applying the $100 off, personally I find my final cost of $307 ($258 + $49) for this repair unjustifiable. I regret not asking the provider before scheduling the service what would be the approx cost for the repair. I definitely don't plan to pay this high cost again, to any plumber, for this kind of similar repair.

I bought the deal on Angie's List and contacted the company by phone to set up an appointment. The person who answered the phone was abrupt, unhelpful, and had a bad attitude. He also didn't have any of my information for the deal, so I had to provide all of it again. After hanging up I had a bad feeling about this provider, but we had always had good experiences with Angie's List so I decided to keep the appointment. When the day of the appointment came, they were supposed to arrive between 10am and noon. They called a little after noon and said they could be there around 1, with no explanation for the delay. I canceled the appointment, got a refund from Angie's List, and found another plumber who completed the work.

This initial visit stopped a hidden leak, however, cut off water service to part of the house. The repair to reroute the water service was performed at an additional cost and the work was spread over several weeks.Though the work done corrected the problem, the cost was high. Though I would like to use them in the future, their components are top of the line and their prices reflect that. In an older home, this level of effort is not always cost effective.

When the plumber arrived, he advised me that it would actually cost $189 for him to do a leak detection. The $189 would actually provider coverage for a year. Because of the leak, I was under some duress so I decide to accept their offer and have them begin service. The plumber observe the leak in our kitchen and proceeded to go check out the upstairs bathrooms. The plumber flushed the toilet a few times and checked out all of the pipes, short of cutting into the wall, to see if he could detect a leak. No water was run from the tubs or the sinks. The plumber pulled up one of the toilets and reset it. He said that based upon the amount of rust that he saw along with the lack of wax present that his recommendation was to have a new wax ring installed. The wax ring replacement was approximated at $225, I was also provided the option of doing a complete replacement of the toilet for approximately $600. Outside of starting a large project that would include cutting into the walls, these seemed to be my only options. Based on the fact that we haven't had any other issues with the toilet, we opted for the repair rather than the full replacement. A day later, we still had a leak which actually seemed worse than it had before. I feel like we have paid for work and now gotten nothing for our money.

Shawn was helpful at first when I called on 11/30/15 to schedule the work on 12/1/15. I told him that my mom's house needed a new expansion tank for the water heater that is now leaking water. I asked him about the price and said he can't give over the phone without seeing it. He gave me a time window of 10 am to 12 noon for the next day. The next day, I called Shawn at 11:25 am and he indicated that his guy is on a service call and should be there shortly. Chris, the service guy left me a voicemail at 12:29 pm saying he was on his way. He arrived closer to 1 pm. Chris was nice and I showed him the expansion tank/water heater in the basement. I asked him if he had the part and he said no as he was not aware of what the issues were. He said that it's simple to fix and I asked him how long it will be, will it be 2 hours and he said not even. After looking at it, he called Shawn (his boss) to get parts and gave me a price of $389. I was shocked at the price so I called Shawn again to see if I can get a breakdown of the cost detail between labor and parts. During this phone call, Shawn started to get rude and said that it was a flat price that they charge; I asked him if it was a flat price they charge, how come he could not give me a price over the phone yesterday and he turned even more rude. I felt I had no choice since I already paid for the angie's list coupon and this work really needed to get done. Chris came back around 2 pm with the part and took about 30 minutes to complete the work. I researched the expansion tank and this part cost about $70 dollars from Home Depot. I feel as if Shawn jacked up the price because of the deal I bought from Angies list ($75 for $150 dollars worth of plumbing work) and completely ripped me off. I will not be using their service again.

I think they are a little more expensive than others. But they do a good job. They were efficient. They came out and diagnosed the problem. It was a leak and they said, "You have to have the thing replaced," and I thought that was correct and so, they did it.

The service was great! Very efficient and knowledgeable. Clean work. Will definitely use them again.

Scheduling was easy, as the person taking the call was very pleasant. The crew came on time and performed the requested work in a quality and efficient manner. They provided some suggestions and offered a cost/benefit analysis--without pushing any additional work. My wife was home with them at the time, and had nothing but good things to say. We would definitely call them again!

I called them late on Saturday night and was able to secure an appointment on Monday. I could have opted for emergency service, but I didn't want to incur the extra expense. The appointment was in a two hour window (1200-1400) and the guys were about an hour late (arrived closer to 1500). It took the guys about an hour to clear out the drain which they did cleanly and expertly. Since this type of job was to be preformed as a pre-set activity (not time and materials) I thought it was a bit high for what it took, but it was a quality job. In the future, I would recommend asking for an approx cost prior to scheduling the appointment, especially if it is for routine work, IMHO. That said, cost is only one piece to this equation. I am having them quote me for some additional work, so that should speak to how I really felt about the work.

It works very well the new faucet.

It was very bad experience. The guy showed up and looked extremely in hurry. He clearly did not demonstrate listening skills. He seemed to have of ton of other tasks ahead of him. I would never use this company again.

The installation of the new hot water heater went very well. Shawn arrived on time and went right to work with the uninstall and installation of the new heater with another person to assist. He had to stop in the middle to get a part, but he came back and finished the job same day. I haven't had any issues with the hot water heater.

I was initially going to install a facet from home depot to save a little money and needed a plumber to install it for me. I chose Elite Service Plumber and the owner of the company came out to do the service call. When he arrived and saw the type of facet I wanted to install, he inform me the poor quality I was getting for the price by showing me one of his facets he was promoting that day. He showed me what his professional grade facet looked like in comparison to the Home Depot facet I had and for the price it was a no brainer; Especially, when it came with a lifetime warranty, I have no other choice but to get his product. Its been 4 months since I purchased the facet, and it was the best decision I made. The quality of the facet as well as the look was well worth the final cost.

They did fine but I think they're a bit pricey because the overall cost ended up being more. It was because they had to do additional work. It's possible that the cost was fair, but it was just kind of unexpected. I would try to go with my regular plumber due to the cost.

And the demanding website is one of the reasons I think I'll quit. They made me fill in this entry. Go away. It's inflexible, too. I have to keep submitting this gripe.

He did his job but we're not going to use his plumbing services again. When he first came he couldn't replace it because he didn't have all his tools but he assessed it how he would do it that he doesn't have to break out the wall. So he told me what he would try first in order to not have to break the wall the first time and then when he came back it was like he never told me that and he wanted to go right there and break out the wall. And I said, "Hey, hold on. You told me something else the first time." which worked out, so he didn't have to break the wall at all but he intended to, but that was kind of weird to me because if he would have done that it would have cost us much more. He told us the first time which is totally fine, but he wanted to go straight to work and break out the wall. He did not show up on time but he did let us know.

Service was fast, efficient, and on time. I would definitely use them again. And their price was reasonable and fair. Outstanding in every way.

I have a rental unit that just acquired new tenants. At 10 pm on their first night, a Saturday, they discovered the garbage disposal was broken and that the kitchen sink was backing up. When I awoke on Sunday morning, I searched Angie's List for local plumbers who were open on Sunday. Luckily, I came across the positive reviews of The Elite Service Plumber and now i get to add my glowing review to the list! I called around 8:45 a.m. on Sunday morning and the person with whom I spoke was very professional and efficient, despite the early hour (and on a Sunday!). They had someone out at the unit by mid-morning and wrapped up the job by 11:30 a.m. The tenants, who were home to receive the plumber, were very happy with the quick service. I was very happy with the overall professionalism, punctuality and flexibility of the company. I would HIGHLY recommend this company and plan to use them again in the future.

The plumber was professional and on time. We appreciated the quick response and their consideration of our schedule.

They were able to come the same day as my call, very professional a very postive experience.

It went fine. I paid more than the "Big Deal" I purchased because of what I had done. It was reasonable. It was very good.
