The Elite Service Plumber

He had to remove about six feet of pavers in my walkway and excavate six feet down to get to the water line. They did the job in one day. The workers were very careful not to disrupt the surrounding shrubs that were alongside the walkway. Also they removed the pavers carefully and placed each one alongside my walkway so that I could get them relaid after they were done. Shawn was friendly and responsive and I would hire him in a heartbeat but hope I won't have to! I already referred him to my neighbor who had a water leak in her master bathroom that leaked through living room ceiling. She hired him on the spot and gave him a discount because she was referred to him.

They were neat, tidy and professional. Have already recommended them to a coworker.

Arrived on time, carried out assessment, and made list of recommended upgrades. We discussed each option, and owner (Shawn) explained to me the most critical. A week later the company performed work, and it know have three outdoor hose connections that work, with properly identified basement shut-off switches clearly marked. Price was a bit higher than I had planned on, but in the end it all worked. Shawn personally came to the house with his crew and supervised all work.

First visit was Friday, Feb. 21. Business owner Shawn arrived near end of promise window. He assessed my needs and discussed alternatives. Everything was more expensive than I had imagined, but I admit I had not shopped. Shawn declined to work with cheap materials or do a quick fix that he said would not last. We agreed to replacement of faucets in one sink, but hardware (approximately $275 in a catalog) was not in the truck driven that day. Work was to be done the next Monday afternoon, no charge for the additional trip. Nobody arrived on Monday. When I called at 6:30 p.m., Shawn apologized for misunderstanding and said work was scheduled for the next day. He did arrive with an assistant at the end of window next day. Faucets were replaced in a little over an hour, with some complications due to the age of the sink (probably more than 50 years). Shawn quickly found, at no additional charge, that the problem with my garbage disposal was in the electrical switch. I am pleased with the quality and smoothness of my new high-end faucets, but I see that the new caulking between the sink and the wall has a few holes.

Pretty good for the most part. Nice guys, seemed knowledgeable. Honored the price of the Big Deal even though it had been inaccurately posted on Angie's List. It was to replace an outdoor water shutoff valve. While inspecting the house, decided to have them replace the guts of one toilet and replace our aging water heater. They returned later that day to complete the work, which they did by the evening. When I arrived home after they were done, I found the toilet running because he float hadn't been adjusted right. I called them and one of the guys returned within a half hour and fixed it. Very good response. They also weren't able to quite complete a connection for one of the outdoor water valves. It was leaking and they needed another part. This was Friday and they said they would be back Wednesday. That was fine, but Wednesday came and they hadn't come or called. My wife called and they said they'd have to call back with a time on Thursday. Again, no call, so my wife called again. The big snow on Monday messed up their schedule. We understood, but communicating better with us would have helped. They agreed to come Friday morning. They did come and completed the work. All seems good.

On 2 December 2013 I purchased a Big Deal for $99 from The Elite Service Plumber for an outdoor faucet replacement. Shawn Cowart came over yesterday morning, looked at the faucet, and said he would have to take out some siding and access the faucet from inside the house (going through the wall). Since this is a relatively major job, I decided not to have it done.

It went great. Sean was on time and very professional. Even though it was not a difficult job, he didn't dismiss it for being too small. Since he had fixed a different section of the pipe before (when he was working for another company), he didn't even charge us for this repair. We will definitely use him again!!

Shawn was very friendly and professional. He and his helper put on booties whenever coming into the house after working outside. He explained the repair and gave a good discount.

Fantastic! Shawn and Mike were friendly, professional and arrived before the scheduled time. They were respectful of my home and wore shoe covers. The problem was quickly discovered and fixed. Suggestions were made on other plumbing issues and we will call Shawn soon to have them repaired. BTW - this was not an up sale attempt as we knew these items are in need of repair. I appreciated the fact that he did mention them - in my eyes that's a sign of someone who is observant and detailed oriented. Thanks again Shawn for responding to my call so quickly - you guys are the bomb!

Service was good and employees were professional. I just felt rushed and pushed into repairing all the toilets and probably should have shopped around for prices. It was my fault- but. I ended up spending a lot for something that most plumbers could have probably done. I called afterwards and handymen were a lot cheaper. But they did do a thorough assessment of our home and gave us some good pointers.

I made the mistake of buying a $100.00 coupon for $49.00 from Elite Service on Angie's List. After purchasing the coupon, I called them. They came on time and fixed a visible washing machine drain leak. To begin with they gave me a total estimate of $365.00 to fix the link, which I thought was excessive. However, since I had bought the coupon, I felt it would be a waste of my money, if I declined the offer. I ended up paying an additional $265.00 on top of $49.00 for a service that took 15 minutes. A few days, I asked another plumber how much he would charge for the same service. His estimate was less than $100.00 In future, I will never buy a coupon before getting an estimate. I will also never use Elite Service, because they knowingly took advantage of a situation to rip me off. I have no problem with the quality of their service, but their business practice is unethical

I was not charged and the coupon is still valid. they looked at the job. adjusted my water pressure.

We woke up on Saturday morning to a partially flooded basement due to a broken water heater. We called two other AL plumbers first. Both were helpful but not able to take care of us that day. We called Elite around 11:15 and they immediately diverted a truck to pick up a new heater from their supplier which closed at noon. They had other calls before us and arrived around 3:30 and the work was completed by 5:30. Sean mentioned a corroded pipe that was not pressing but should be replaced so we will bring them back to fix that. Also, we had gotten a ballpark figure from one of the other plumbers and Elite was substantially less....great service at a lower price...win, win! I would not hesitate to use them again!

We paid extra to purchase a toilet and new faucets through them. They installed the toilet and faucets. We had one issue in the down stairs after the initial service. We called them and they came back right away. They said our hot water heater was too hot which was causing the issue. It looked like the new toilet we ordered matched everything else but the lighting threw off the color so it didn’t quite match the tile. They offered additional help any other time we needed. They also did not charge us for the follow up call and gave us an Angie’s List discount.

Shawn of Elite Plumbing arrived with his assistant and began checking the plumbing from basement to top floor. He recommended specific repairs based on his inspection and my concerns/priorities. His quote totaled just dollars over 2,000.00. I started trying to prioritize what could or should be done immediately and what would have to wait weeks and what would have to wait months. At the time Elite did the inspection, I was without heat and trying to decide what HVAC system quote to choose. The work on the HVAC was critical but the quote I was given by very reputable HVAC contractors ranged from $7,100.00-14,000.00. Shawn immediately got on the phone and called his own HVAC contractor who agreed to give me a much lower price, based on preliminary information. The recommendation to another Angie's List HVAC contractor, HVAC Intelligence, made it possible for me to get plumbing and HVAC for the cost of what I had been quoted for the HVAC alone. BTW, I have submitted a review for the work that HVAC Intelligence did for me as well. Excellent work at an amazing price. Networking and customer satisfaction perspective by both of these contractors lifted a huge burden off of me. Shawn covered carpeting and flooring, and wore booties in my home. I did not have to clean up anything after his work. He explained everything he was did and why. He sold me top notch products and installed everything quickly. He and his assistant were moving every minute that they were in my home. Elite Service really sweats customer service and makes customer satisfaction a priority. Elite Service is a business, not a charity organization, but the company follows the Golden Rule: they treated me like they would have wanted to be treated. Excellent work at a fair price. I have a plumber I can call and recommend without hesitation. Lastly, I always try to support the local businesses in my community, and I rely on Angie's List to help me find the best contractors in my area.

They did it fine, there was no problem. The service was done a few days later, he was very prompt. We had additional options, but it was nothing that we needed immediately, and so I didn't spend anything additional. I thought they were friendly, professional, and they did an excellent job. Like any service provider, they had offered us additional service if wanted it done, but there was no pressure.

It worked out very well. I like the fact that they were prompt and answered my questions and gave me some additional information not related to the project. It turned out pretty well.

I did ask The Elite Service Plumber to quote how much it would cost to replace one of the toilets and he was very, very high. He insisted on using his own product and I said I wanted to buy one myself for him to install it so I didn't go with him for that. I will probably not use him because he was expensive if I hadn't purchased through the deal. The deal was the only reason he came out here.

Every thing went great. A quick inspection of all my plumbing revealed a few minor issues which were fixed a no addition cost.

It went well. The pipe had terrible access, but they did a great job.

Their service was fine. The service was quick and efficient. The guy was very amicable a very nice to talk to. I believe he is the owner of the company and he has somebody else with him. They also came on time.

They did not fix the ultimate problem, they found something else that they fixed. The original problem still remains, and they thought what they did, may fix it, but if it did, they would come back out to fix it. They charged more because of the part that they had to replace. We haven't called them back yet, as we have other things are going on. But we will call them, and tell them that the issue is not yet solved. We won't know the actual cause until we call them. They did a good, and quick job of replacing the pressure valve. We got the appointment together very quickly, and they were here on time.
