The Elite Service Plumber

we had a pipe leaking on the basement's ceiling - but we didn't realize that it wasn't between floors. Elite Plumbing came in and immediately pointed out the real problem and very efficiently replaced the minimum possible pipe.

There were some mis-communications when I called them before purchasing the deal. We originally wanted them to fix something in May, the price was more than we wanted to pay, so that didn't work out. We tried to get another job from them, but they said it wasn't covered in the deal. We would have had to pay quite a bit more than what we paid for the deal.

Shawn with Elite was extremely professional, prompt, and courteous. The work is top-notch and he returned everything to way it was before the work. We would definitely use him again and in fact plan to. Would also provide strongest referral.

Provider came out looked at my toilet and told me that the big deal that I purchased was not for the repair I needed. Said that I would need a toilet replacement and the voucher did not cover this.

This is the second time I have used Elite Plumbing. He was great - both times. Straight forward, tells it like it is (if there is an issue), DOES NOT use scare tactics or high pressure to do things - just let's you know. So if a home inspection is included in your work, look at it as free advice. First time I had him do some extra work. Glad we did. If you want good work done, done right, someone who stands behind his work, then go with Elite. I would like to note something for people who are reading this and other reviews on Elite. I have read a few negative comments. They do not sound like this plumber. I think one can make their own judgments, but I always feel that sometimes when a service provider is trashed, it is only one side of the story and perhaps the reviewer is not giving us the important details (which they choose to exclude or may not understand) that has lead to them being unhappy. I have no skin in the game on this guy, but if I think someone does a good job, I will make it very clear. This guy does a good job and it is worth what I paid. He responds to e-mails and is very prompt. That alone says he wants your business. And since I had him come back for more work a second time, that says a lot.

This was ordered in error. We did not use them. We have since moved and the house is for sale. We request a refund.

That went fine. I was not home when they did the work, but my husband was here. The plumber took care of a shower drain that was clogged.

The Elite Service Plumber team were a pleasure to work with, Shawn followed up after the work was performed to make sure the issues were addressed and we were satisfied with the work performed .

The shower valve on the bathtub faucet was malfunctioning so much so that most of the water was coming via the faucet and a trickle from the shower. He came by with his assistant and tested it and replaced the faucet seamlessly. It works well now. They were a good team, professional, prompt, & fairly reasonable in the cost.

Owner of company and another representative came out to my home to inspect a leak in my ceiling. All he did was go up to the bathroom and tell me that it was the caulking on the tub. His inspection alone cost me $169 (what he called a "leak detection". Come to find out that one day after he left, the leak got bigger. Although the owner told me that some of that cost would go towards cutting a hole in the ceiling to find the leak (if his first diagnosis was wrong), I did not feel comfortable having them come back in after the poor diagnosis the first time. I decided to have a different company come out who immediately told me it had nothing to do with caulking and that it was actually coming from a different bathroom (obviously he had to cut the ceiling open to make this determination). When I called the owner back, he apologized for the misdiagnosis and told me that he would have come back out and made that determination and of course it would still cost more money. He also offered me part of my money back, which I STILL haven't seen to this day (over a month later). Very disappointed.

It turned out well. They just did the repair for the toilet.

I purchased the $49 special knowing I would need plumbing help soon. I called them, but they could not come out for two weeks. They then shortened that to one week, which I accepted. When two men arrived late, I was surprised in that the small amount of work could easily have been done by one man in ten minutes. Then they announced that they could not solve the problem of a loose toilet seat, and suggested I buy a new toilet. I then went to a neighborhood hardware store and bought a $25 toilet seat which they installed later. One of the men had left to return to his office to get a small part and the remaining man said the other fellow had "taken the tools with him." Once the second man returned with the part they installed the seat and the part and informed me that the cost would be $189. Since I had purchased 100 worth of plumbing work for $49 they only asked for $89 more. I gave them the $89 they requested and that was it. The work was okay, but the cost was vastly greater than I expected for such a minor job. The problems were: 1. They could not come out for two weeks. 2. The job was very small and should have been accomplished in a few minutes. 3. The cost was unnecessarily high. The did not arrive within the two hour window they promised. I would not buy the special again and the next time, I would make minor repairs myself.

It went well. They did the work in a timely fashion and were very professional.

I wasn't home but my son said he was very professional, very nice, explained things, and was quick and efficient. He discussed the job with me on the phone to get the OK on the price. He arrived on time and called ahead of time to say he'd be on his way.

Apparently, the picture of the faucet in the ad was incorrect. He said the "coupon" was for the indoor shut-off valve. However, he figured out how to do the outdoor tap and charged the same price. He was prompt and neat.

They came right on time and phoned me about 20 minutes beforehand. I showed them to the errant faucet. They gave me estimates for repairing the faucet and for replacing it with one I had bought (new in the box). We agreed that it was an extremely fine faucet and every effort should be made to save it. I noted that the faucet had been under-serving water since it was new. They took the faucet apart, looking for an obstruction, but found none. We then agreed that the new faucet should be installed. This was not an easy job. It was hard to reach up under the backside of this deep sink. They kept up with their positive outlook and grunted through the steps toward completion, taking care to ensure that the apparatus was leak-proof. They were perfect gentlemen throughout the two hours they visited. Their final price seemed reasonable.

They were on time, went right to work, did a very good job and left.

The service turned out fine. I paid an additional amount, because the $99 of the big deal didn't go too far. I had never used them before. I haven't had any issues, and they seemed to have done a very good job. I wasn't there when they did the work, but I heard that they were professional, they were accommodating on the schedule, and so it was a positive experience. There are so many things not covered on the price, and so it is a bait and switch, especially if you are not a plumber

He said "I don't get any of that money" and then he went on to tell me that leaky faucets can be $300 and up. His attitude was shocking. He went on and on about how much it costs him to pay his drivers and maintain his trucks etc. He said I either pay the cost to repair the faucet, he thought it would just be best to get a new one since you never know otherwise I would be paying a $1000 water bill. He was way over the top and it seems like this was not the company I wanted to deal with.

He did not show up as promised.

He was polite, and helpful. He unfortunately was unable to fix the faucet I actually needed fixed. We had an appointment earlier this week which he was very late for, but he was on time when he came today. He came with an assistant and he explained why he could not do the work I was requesting.

Replaced the outside hose faucet. Replaced the shut off valve. Inspected home plumbing system.

It did not go well. 1. Plumber called to say they would be a couple hour late, but they would definately call when they were 30 minutes away. They did not, and since I work at home, I was in the middle of a business call. 2. When I made the appointment, I said that I had two bathroom sinks, plus the kitchen sink, that needed some work done...at the minimum, washers replaced and possible reseating, and a maximum more than that. I asked for an estimate, and was told that they were all actually job-related, so it depended on exactly what needed to be done for each set of faucets. 3. When they arrived, and looked over the job, they said that each faucet could have the dripping stopped by a simple change of washers (note that with the way the kitchen one is constructed, I cannot get to it to change the washer), but that they could also go buy some complete new faucet set-ups (and charge to me, of course), and change out the whole faucet assemblies. Or, since my fixtures were old, they could replace all the sinks (2 bathroom, one kitchen) with nice new vanities or whatever, at a charge of about 500.00 per vanity. I said I was not in the market to replace things just now, and let's just do the washer replacement and possible reseating. 4. At that point I told it would be 285.00...PER SINK! Close to 900.00 to replace washers! Seems their price schedule is 285.00 for faucet repair, including only washer replacement. I opted to have the kitchen sink done since it was not one I could do myself. Buy in the long run, paid 49.00 for a coupon worth 100.00 off, then an additional 185.00 to reach their price of 285.00...so the total out of my pocket was 236.00 (at least they did not charge me extra for the washers). 5. While they were changing the washers, I went upstairs to my bedroom, and asked them to call me when done. Instead, without calling up to me, one of them just walked into my bedroom...way off limit behavour! 6. I feel very ripped off my this whole experience. I will never use them again, nor recommend them. Note also that there were some snarky comments throughout about how old my plumbing was. that was not necessary.
