The Elite Service Plumber

The plumber responded to my urgent call about the frozen pipe. He came soon after I called, which I greatly appreciated. He gave me options, which ranged from simply heating up the pipes with a small heater, to cutting into the wall and applying heat to prevent the pipe from bursting. He also looked at my other faucets, which were running fine. I decided to apply heat to the pipe myself and it began running a few hours later. The Elite Service Plumber also provided excellent service to me on a previous job. He discovered that my water heater needed replacing. He and his assistant had to lift the new water heater and carry it up a narrow spiral staircase! They did not give up until they got the unit up the stairs and did an excellent job with the installation. They were able to schedule the installation the next day, after discovering that the water heater needed to be replaced urgently.

Provider came out and informed me that the replacement wouldn't work. There was more work that needed to be done.

Better than expected. The technician was efficient and tidy.

Had a burst pipe in the kitchen on a sunday. This was in the middle of a cold snap and many plumbers seemed very busy with emergencies. Sean was able to get to us about 4 hours after the call and capped the pipes leading to the sink, and restored water to the rest of the house. We made plans for him to come back on tuesday to reroute the pipes away from the wall so they would not freeze in the future. In the interim, we started having problems with pipes on the opposite side of the house near the main. Thankfully I was able to get those thawed and they did not burst like in the kitchen. Sean came with an additional person on tuesday and re-routed the pipes in the kitchen sink area, and also re-routed the pipes near the main so that we would not have freezing problems there in the future either. I was pleased with the service. They were friendly, courteous and professional. From what I can tell they did quality work. The pricing seemed fair.

It's was a Saturday morning, snow was falling, and the weather prediction was bad. The shower went from warm to cold as the hot water tank decided it was tired after 14 years. The plumber we've used in the past doesn't work weekends, let alone when serious bad weather is predicted. So we turned to Angie's List. Shawn Cowart not only answered his phone that morning, he walked us through finding the information he needed before coming to the house. He arrived within an hour, and fortunately, was able to trick the tank into giving us some warm water that lasted until Monday when he could purchase a replacement. Hot water tanks are not cheap, and we had to pay a premium for him coming out on a Saturday, but it was definitely worth it. Shawn was friendly, and not only knew what he was doing, he explained that we had options. He listed them and told us exactly what he could do, and when he could do it. Best of all, he did exactly what he promised. We will definitely use him again.

Very good job. I had a significant water leak in the basement two hours before 30 people were coming by on Super Bowl Sunday. Most plumbers (even with emergency service) didn't pick up, and one who did basically told me he had me over a barrel so he was going to charge me a fortune. The Elite Service Plumbers, however, were great: they picked up the phone, diagnosed the problem over the phone in minutes, came by immediately, charged a very reasonable emergency fee, and fixed the problem. Much appreciated.

Our kitchen sink had a completely stopped up drain due to a clogged exit pipe from the disposal that had apparently been partially caused by an improper/under sized drain pipe and partially by using the disposal to grind up waste that should have been put in the garbage can. It was New Year's Eve and we had difficulty finding any plumber immediately available but Mr. Shawn Cowart responded to our call and arrived promptly that afternoon. The job was completed efficiently and quickly and all the needed repairs and replacement parts were explained to us as the work progressed. A discount coupon reduced the total cost by $75 resulting in a final cost of service of $473. It was money well spent and we would not hesitate to call upon Mr. Cowart @ Elite Service again...

They arrived on time and got the pilot working. i asked for an estimate to install a new water filter at my sink. it was too expensive (not worth the install and price of filter). while under the sink, he tightened my garbage disposal which was about to fall off (no charge)! thank you

They installed a new toilet. He took photos and he showed me and I was so glad he did.

They were good and I had to use them again. The way the machine it was designed it wouldn't hook onto what I have so they have to do something else.

We were fixing a list of items discovered during our home inspection when selling our home. The provider took time to examine the leak and provide me with justification on the additional work needed. Although later, I realized the price was a little high, the work was completed that same day. The work was of high quality and done with the utmost professionalism.

I got a new water heater. I would recommend them and they were professional.

My water bills were sky high due to a leaking water service line on my side of the meter. I also had an old tar paper (often called Orangeburg after the company) sewer drain pipe that was at the end of its service life and decaying. I had gotten four quotes from plumbing companies on excavating and replacing the sewer drain pipe and water service line. Elite Service Plumber came out with the second lowest price and offered a 5% discount if I paid with cash or check instead of credit card. They did a great job replacing the water line, even without needing to cut into the built-in bookshelves that it runs behind in the basement. Their first reaction was "we're going to have to cut a hole in those shelves," which horrified me. But their plumbing skills really show in the fact that they were able to replace the water line behind the shelves. Shawn Collins, the owner, has a good level of expertise and about two decades of plumbing experience. He says his company specializes in excavating and replacing sewer drains and water lines. He used subs for the excavation work, but they did a quality job and were professional. The day after the excavation, he came himself after the work passed inspection to fill in the hole using a backhoe. Then he came the next day with two other people to replace my two bushes and ornamental dogwood tree. So it was a three day job altogether. He did the best he could on the landscaping, but it was already November, so there was no point in spreading grass seed. My front yard will look like a construction site until the spring when I can hire a landscaper to re-level the ground and replace the lawn. The dirt has been settling unevenly and created a hole that I will need to fill by moving some of the dirt that is piled up elsewhere.

That was perfect. We had a couple of issues and he was able to diagnose and fix one of them and advise on the second.

It was determined that the problem I was having was not a plumbing issue.

i asked in advance about the exact service I wanted performed (replace a toilet) and if the big deal would apply. In writing this was confirmed through our email discussion. However, when they arrived, not only did they tell me the price would be several hundred dollars more than the big deal I had already paid for,the guy was very argumentative. Ultimately, I didn't want to lose the money I had already spent, and he was willing to come down a small amount and he was already there, so I had him replace the toilet and paid the additional cost, despite feeling totally deceived. He must have thought about what a jerk he was being because he later gave me a "coupon" for a discount on the next job... NOT A CHANCE! on the upside, even though the high quality toilet ($800 toto) doesn't flush very thoroughly, it hasn't leaked, so the work was apparently adequate.

They did well. I had a problem with one of my bathrooms and they came an looked at it and fixed it. The price was good.

The work was done quickly and to my satisfaction. He also did a whole house inspection and gave me several good tips for some issues around my house.

Overall it went well. The first installation of the bib was not up to standard but they came back out and fixed it. The technician walked me through all the issues in the house and gave suggestions on how to address them.

Very professional. Explained clearly. They were late once ( came twice) but the Be.tway was bad that day.

I was not very impressed with the service. The plumber was trying to sell me other things and told me if I did not purchase them something bad would happen. I purchased the deal for them to unclog a toilet. The technician did not have to do much to the toilet to get it working again. I had no problem scheduling the deal.

Very well done, fast. High Quality fixture installed. Requested and received credible estimate on additional work.

I initially bought the $149 coupon special to replace our outside faucet. I then called the company and talked to Sean and scheduled an appointment with him. He came and inspected the problem and informed us what he found and our options in fixing it. Rather than a simple faucet/hose bibb replacement, it was actually a more complicated task due to design flaw by the previous installer. Sean was very professional and dedicated in working with us in resolving the problem. After much effort - Sean was able to fix the leak by replacing the faucet/hose bibb. Overall, due to the quality of workmanship, service, professionalism, dedication and value - I highly recommend the company and Sean for all your plumbing needs.

Getting ready to place house on the market. This company was very professional and efficient in making the necessary improvements we requested. They were on time - cleaned up. I would use them again.
