Description of Work: The aged gas-fired water heater in the basement utility room of my townhouse failed (just the heater, not the tank, thankfully). I selected Stang after reviewing Angie's List and talking to neighbors. Called and was scheduled for following day. The crew arrived on time with the appropriate new water heater on their truck. Turned out my old installation no longer met code (of course), so they had to do extra work to add an expansion tank to the inlet. That entailed a trip to the warehouse. The guys worked diligently, tested their installation, cleaned up thoroughly, and told me the other things I would have to do to pass inspection---install vents in utility room door and install CO detectors upstairs. I did, the WSSC Inspector arrived as scheduled by Stang, pronounced the work sound, and signed the certificate. | |A nice touch: both crew members put on protective booties before walking through the house without my even mentioning it!
