+ -1 moreJason and Marc were very professional and efficient. They made time to repair my clogged drain that I told them about upon arriving. They were very helpful in explaining what they had done and also a 'how to do a quick drain de-clogging' for routine maintenance. The only thing that I found a bit frustrating is that despite Stang being very upfront with their pricing (charging for the hour versus the job) and Jason and Marc kept me posted on additional charges (ie snaking the drain) but I found a $15 miscellaneous charge on my bill. When I called the office they said that this goes toward the booties the plumbers wear and wear and tear on the tools. I would have appreciated knowing that in advance. Additional fees like that make it difficult for consumers to price compare and a bit deceiving. Besides that, I really enjoyed their service.
Description of Work: I had purchased a toilet and had Stang remove my old toilet and replace it. I also had a clogged drain and they snaked that and replaced a part that was corroded.

They were very efficient when they came and they wore booties on there feet so that our floors wouldn t get muddy from their boots. I would have to say they are the most professional plumbers that I have ever seen.
Description of Work: They provided and put in a new kitchen faucet, a new garbage disposal and unclogged a drain.

+ -1 moreI was so pleased with how quickly they came out to do the work. I was panicking, because the line had leaked from my top floor condo down to three other condos below me. There damage is all covered under the association insurance. I guess these things happen and I was comforted that Stang could take care of the problem.
Description of Work: I had a water line leaking into the ice maker of my fridge. I called Stang right away, and they scheduled a service. They charge an hourly rate of $164 and $41 for each additional 15 minutes. They took care of my problem within an hour.

+ -1 moreThe pipe fitter showed up when his office said he would. He was very polite and was careful to wear booties over his boots. He was very knowledgeable about his work and explained what he was doing. Fortunately, this particular pipe fitter had a lot of experience in my neighborhood. This was good for me because he knew what to look for and quickly found the leaks.
Description of Work: The pipe fitter replaced a segment of copper tubing water pipe with a pin hole leak and a portion of the piping going into the water heater. When we examined the copper tubing from the water heater, we discovered it had also been leaking which was the cause of the oxidation on the outside of the tubing.

+ -1 moreThe experience went great. We, unfortunately, needed to order a special order toilet for our master bathroom to match the existing color scheme. We told Stang which toilet to order and they ordered it. They called when it arrived and set up an install date. They installed the toilet and at that time noticed the seat was scratched (this was a small scratch that we may have never noticed), but Stang immediately notified us and ordered a replacement seat. When the replacement arrived they called to install that seat. Unfortunately, the replacement was not the correct model type. Stang told us they would take care of it and reordered the seat. When the correct replacement arrived they immediately came out and switched in the correct seat. They communicated great and had great customer service to handle these little mishaps appropriately. Most companies would not be so on top of things.
Description of Work: I have had Stang out to fix a few leaks and problems in the past and they were always exceptional. This time we needed a new custom order toilet installed in our master bathroom and a small leak fixed in a sink.

+ -1 moreHe was very friendly and courteous, and knowledgeable about plumbing and drywall. He returned our calls promptly and was honest. The job was more expensive than it would have been on a weekday, but we didn't want to wait. A good experience overall!
Description of Work: We had water leaking from an unidentifiable location in our bathroom - it was all over the floor and had soaked up into the vanity and the drywall. We had had a week of freezing weather and I figured a pipe in the wall was cracked. Unfortunately, there were lots of people with frozen pipes in the area! I called about 10 plumbers but Carl from Stang was the only one to call back right away from the road. He told me he had two other stops to make first. Then he called back with the good news that the other folks had canceled, and he hurried right over. This was on a Saturday so there was an extra charge, but we were just happy that he could come. He cut out the wet drywall and looked around, but the problem was not inside the wall. Turns out the toilet had been leaking for some time and this was the first we'd noticed it. He made some recommendations for repair, and now we're remodeling the bathroom because it kind of needed a face lift anyway.

+ 0 moreThe plumber only re-connected the ice maker, did not change the connection. He did fix the disposal. He did not unplug the drain. He suggested we get liquid plumber or some sort of crystals.

+ -1 moreThe interesting note is Stang Plumbing hires right out of high school and teaches the plumbing trade. This speaks volumes to me. Stang is a forward looking company and is training willing, but uninitiated young people, at at the same time taking a page from days gone by when masters taught the trades to students. I will (and have) hired this company again.
Description of Work: I remodeled my kitchen and needed a plumber to install lines to a sink top water filter and to the freezer ice machine. I called Stang and they sent out a young plumber the next morning. He was courteous and completed the job in about 1 hour. Several months later I needed a plumber because the toilet shutoff valve started leaking, (This after I turned it off to change the flush flapper, should have hired Stang!) again the service was paramount.

+ -1 moreStang rushed over two men, calling me in advance so that I would have an arrival time. The men worked efficiently, even moving a bookcase to find the main water valve. After the basement pipe was repaired, I inquired if they could look at three leaking faucets. They repaired those cheerfully, even adding some tape to help prevent a sticking problem I hadn't mentioned. I was very pleased. They didn't wear booties but perhaps would do so if asked. Their clean-up was good.
Description of Work: They repaired a leaking copper pipe in the basement and repaired leaking faucets in two bathrooms and the kitchen.

Description of Work: STANG REPAIRED MY POWDER ROOM TOILET. THE TOILET HAD BEEN RUNNING FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS. HE PUT IN NEW PARTS, AND IT WORKS GREAT NOW.

Description of Work: THEY HAVE DONE ALL OF THE PLUMBING IN OUR HOUSE FOR THE PAST 9 YEARS. REPAIRS ON BROKEN FIXTURES, REPAIRING AND THEN INSTALLING A NEW HOT WATER HEATER. THEY ALSO DID THE PLUMBING HOOKUP WHEN WE REDID OUR BATHROOMS AND KITCHEN COUNTER.
