I discovered the leaks on Sunday. I called the company's 24 hour emergency number and a technician called back within a few minutes. He explained what I could do to take care of things until Monday and avoid paying high overtime charges. The next day when I called the office to schedule repair work, the technician had already told them to expect my call. They scheduled me for that morning!! The plumber who came was very polite, efficient and even cleaned up after himself. He had to replace several feet of the copper tubing and did so very quickly. He had to cut away some of the drywall which left a mess. But he left things even more clean than before he started(this is the basement after all).

I was very impressed with my experience with Stang Plumbing. A plumber and helper arrived on time and were very polite. They even put little booties on over their work boots to protect my carpeting. I went over the items I needed fixed, as had been discussed when I was given the estimate. They made sure to let me know when they were turning the water on and off. They explained what they had done, and showed it to me as well. They also cleaned up after themselves. The final cost was in-line with the estimate. Overall, they were incredibly professional and I would highly recommend their services.

I found water heater leaking from the boiler drain. Couldn't stop leak. Called company that installed the unit. They couldn't come out. Interrogated Angie's List. Selected Stang Plumbing based on overall rating and number of reports. Called them at about 5:00 PM. They had a very competent technician at my house by 7:15. He had to travel about 55 miles from his home, make a stop at the shop, and come to my place. He completed the work in about 35 minutes. He was very courteous and professional. He cleaned up the work area thoroughly. We were very satisfied.

Unfortunately, we woke up on a Sunday morning with standing water in our basement. We called Stang and because it was after hours, they had premium rates(about $350/hr). But our plumber was very punctual, helped up over the phone before he arrived and was very efficient. He also check out the surrounding plumbing and explained why the event happened and how we can prevent it.

We had a pipe burst on a Saturday. They came within two hours and made the repair expertly. We paid an arm and a leg but had minimal damage to our house. I think if we'd called someone else we would have paid just as much but we wouldn't have gotten as good a quality in work.

He was very good in every category.

They have never followed through. I have called them 4 - 5 times. This work was done in May of 2008. There is no follow through or follow up here, they have just put me off. I think their price was competitive. I would not use them again.

They did good work, but they were pretty expensive. They were here for only an hour and I thought the price they charged was too much since the job was pretty straightforward and not complicated at all. I wouldn't use them again if I could help it because their price was high.

Went well, completed work faster than expected (allowing me to return to work promptly); overall very satisfied with the work performed.

Two days after Stang snaked out the sewer line, the line backed up again. I called Stang and told them that apparently the work for which they had charged me $502 was not successful. Stang said they could come out again but will start charging me all over again. They said that they do not warrant the snaking out process. Stang said that they cleared out the blockage the first time and apparently a new blockage developed in two days. OK, I will let the readers judge this situation. I think Stang should have come out again without charge. When I called them the first time, they should have told me that they do not warrant the sewer snaking (which they did not tell me), or they should have warned me that their work could possibly end up being totally ineffective and that I would be out over $500 without the problem being solved. It would have been a different story, I think, if the blockage re-appeared a month later. But the fact that it reappears two days later says to me that it didn't get cleared out adequately in the first place.

Came out same morning I called and fixed it up just fine, despite having to deal with a horrible pre-existing pipe configuration. He replaced everything that needed replacing (basically, all the drain pipe that's under the sink, since it wasn't done right in the first place by some previous owner of the house), gave me a new clean-out to fix any future clogs, and got everything to drain great, despite the sink being originally roughed-in too high. Overall, they did a great job.

They were good. They got there on time. They were great about being flexible with what needed to be done. They were clean and they cleaned up after themselves! I would recommend them to anyone.

Mark and James were the best! Honest, professional, extremely quick, and friendly! They worked great together. Called us back at 7:20 A.M, came out at 8:30 A.M to do an assessment, and were back at 9:30-10:00 AM. with the backhoe. Dug two small holes, one near the well and the other where the pipe went into the home. They pulled the broken pipe out with the backhoe, installing the new pipe at the same time. All done in about 3 hours. They patched up the concrete wall in the utility room and put grass seed where they dug the 2 holes. It looked like NO work had been done outside or inside. They also pointed out some other things we should consider fixing in the utility room. Only great things to say about Stang.

Stang replaced the sewer line under my house's crawlspace after repeated rootings. This required digging a 15 foot trench along a 3 foot high space under the house. They replaced the pipe in one day when I was at work and performed some minor cleanup the next morning. The sewer line had had root issues for a few years. I had gotten a few estimates and been bouncing around different plumbers. When Stang gave their estimate, it was the lowest I had received (half of the highest and I had liked the company from dealing with them just clearing the roots.

They were very knowledgeable and professional. (First visit was $300 and the second visit was $200.)

They billed me for $300 to $400 without checking with me first. I thought that it was going to be about a $100 job so I called them about this. They told me they would give me a discount the next time that I used them. Later, I found out (it was a tenants apartment) that the company had made a hole in the wall and never patched it up or notify me that they did this. I would not use them again.

Plumber did not come with all the necessary tools to complete the job and a second visit was required. Plumber did not install new faucet to manufacturers recommendations, because the hole he drilled was too big to allow for the faucet plate to be attached to the brick-so he simply used putty to fill int he hole. Pretty shoddy work for the price.

Excellent! Scheduling was easy. Communications with the company were excellent. When the original scheduled plumber had an emergency assignment they informed us and sent a replacement within two hours. The cost estimate was right on target (and matched my own back of envelope estimate from a few days previous). The work was completed quickly, efficiently and correctly. The plumber explained to us the workings of the new water conditioner. Overall, couldn't ask for a better experience with a plumber for this non-emergency call.

James and Mark are awesome! They were on time and did everything that was necessary to complete the job beyond expectations and requirements. James pointed out areas where another (licensed!) plumber had caused many of the problems that were now occurring (incorrect replacement of polybutelene pipe caused leak and chasm under driveway over time; poor soldering of copper pipe and joining adding to corrosion; improper use of PVC). Highly ethical and professional, James refused to do a "good enough" job, demonstrating pride of workmanship. Neither James nor Mark took a break all day, preferring to complete the job. A part of the job included coordinating with WSSC inspector, which they handled completely. The finished project was done beautifully, and cleaned up well. Unlike other estimates received, the price given was solid; no additional materials or time were charged. We were surprised that other firms wanted to charge $60 for an estimate; Stang's estimate was free. Working with their office was easy, and scheduling handled quickly.

Great. I have used them for all my plumbing repairs over the last 30 years. They replaced my outside hose bib which was leaking with a new one and corrected the shut off valves with new ones at both the inside and outside water connections.

Two servicemen arrived on time at 8:00 am. Once in the house, they applied shoe covers, then followed me to where the gas leak was in the basement. They got right to work & finished within an hour. They were polite & professional. I have absolutely no complaints.

Everything is OK, but price is too high.
