He was due to arrive between 8am and 10am and rang my doorbell at 7:50am, so a tad early. He worked quickly and was done in a snap. The paperwork was easy and clear. The price was more than I'd expected, but I didn't have a comparison price to put it into perspective.

It was perfect. I have been using Stang Plumbing for some time now, and they always do a great job. They are always reliable and responsive.

We called, they came on time, with shoe covers, and got the job done quickly. They were able to fix a shower head for labor lus a $91 part -- another plumber told us we'd have to replace it, take down walls, tile, etc. Thankful that we got a second opinion with Stang!

We have had a good relationship with them. Their work is excellent. We have used for many projects.

They came the same day called; kept me apprised of the actual arrival time of service tehnician. The techician was courtesy, professionnal, and careful about how the work site was left. While expensive, they explained the fees up front and the spent their time on sight well. I would definiltely recommend them to others

This was one of the smoothest processes I've ever experienced for the house. Everyone I interacted with was courteous, friendly, and professional. Susan took the time to explain costs up front, both the base cost and any eventuality that might occur. Sean arrived promptly, covered his shoes, and inspected the entire work area before he began. Based on this inspection, he told me what exactly had to be done, and he made some recommendations and clearly explained why he was recommending them. He was nice, but he wasn't too chatty. He was clearly about business first. The work took less time than I expected, and he cleaned up and explained the new water heater before he left. The whole process was so efficient. From the first phone call to the WSSC inspection, everything was done with little inconvenience to me. I never had to make any follow-up calls to see where someone was.

They are very good. They are reliable, honest, and really seem to know what they are doing. The only thing I don't like is that they don't do emergency work(24 hour), but they are always prompt when I call them.

I have beeb using this company for over 35 years. Once again they have taken care of my problems suchl as leaky faucets and broken toilets or old toilets that couldn't be repaired

The heater started leaking on Sunday evening. I called them Monday afternoon and scheduled a Tues replacement. Had I contacted them earlier on Monday I probably could have gotten installed on Monday. I was quoted a cost of about $950 for the heater and install. Due to the location on the heater ( in a small closet in the kitchen) I had a very hard requirement for how big the heater could be. They never specifically told me what water heater they were going to install or the dimensions. Luckily, I contacted them just prior to the install the verified the size of the heater...it was too big! I then ran to Home Depot and bought one myself. Every time I called Stang, the receptionist was very helpful. We switched the appointment to a water heater install which was billed as time and material. The serviceman arrived within the specified window and was very professional. He did a great job and left no mess. He took care when removing the old (leaking) water heater to ensure that nothing leaked onto the carpet. I gave them a B on price because, frankly, the price seems high for installing a water heater. To be fair, I didn't do a whole lot of shopping around and the price was in line with the one other quote I received. Overall, an excellent company to do business with and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or use them again.

They were very prompt. I was very pleased with their service. The plumber took care of the problem quickly. He was very helpful. The price was not exactly thrilling, but it was competitive. They charged $140 for an hour. Overall my experience with them was good, except for the price. I?ll definitely use them again.

I called at 8:00 am. The woman I talked to said she would have someone come out between 10:00 and 12:00 that day. She told me what the charges would be for various scenarios depending on what the snake pulled back (for example roots which would signal a cracked sewer line) and whether they would need to use the heavy-duty snake or not. She also suggested I print out the Angie's List coupon for $15 off. She called back near 12:00 to tell me they were running late because the previous job was taking longer than expected, and called again when they were on their way. Two workmen arrived at 1:50 and got right to work. They put on shoe coverings to protect the floors and carpets from dirt. They cleared the drain (it turned out to be a grease blockage), made sure it was running freely, and cleaned up the floor afterward. The cost was exactly what I had been quoted ahead of time and they honored the coupon. I was very satisfied with the work and am considering hiring them again to replace a deteriorating laundry tub and faucets.

Called them on Wednesday 5pm about a leaking old water heater, they showed up on time at 8am Thursday and quickly established that the heater needed replacing (It did have all the signs of needing replacing based on Consumer Reports site), arrived on time 8am Friday to replace it and were done in two hours. Very professional, cleaned up after themselves, and even wore shoe covers in the house. They sent a package for getting the gas heater inspected and arranged for the inspection, which it passed. Cost was higher than Consumer Reports suggested was normal, but I didn't shop around - I was more interested in getting the job done right.

We had a cracked copper pipe coming from the drain under our kitchen sink and behind several of the cabinets. The plumber we've used for years did a partial repair but said he would not be able to finish the job because the pipe was inaccessible. He said we would have to have a carpenter come in and remove the sink, the countertop, and all the cabinetry before he could finish fixing the leak. I called a carpenter, who gave me a quote over the phone for a minimum of $2000-- just to pull out the existing cabinets and put them back again! Thankfully, I decided to get a second opinion. Checked Angie's List, and called two other plumbers. One couldn't come out for two weeks. When I called Stang, the receptionist was very sweet and empathetic to the situation. She promised to send someone between 10-12:00 the following day. He showed up at 10 am on the dot, assessed the situation, and told me that he would be able to do the complete repair without having to move any of the cabinetry. That was the first set of great news. During the course of the repair, he also found a nail hole in the copper piping at the level of the sub-floor. This was the long searched-for but never-found source of moisture going into our cellar area that has been causing mold/mildew problems for years! We've had at least five different companies out trying to figure out where the moisture was coming from. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!

The serviceman arrived promptly on schedule and put on booties to avoid soiling the floor. Was very professional. He showed me it was only AC condensation-no tricks to entice me to spend needlessly. Then asked if there was anything else he could repair since I paid a flat fee for the first hour and he ended up repairing a toilet for me. Very nice experience overall.

The receptionist was very helpful and I was able to schedule the job when I wanted it. I spoke with a plumber who gave me a rough quote over the phone and got enough details about the job to know what was needed. The plumber arrived promptly on time, prepared for the job. He was courteous and professional. I showed him what needed to be done and how the inside parts connected to the outside. He explained how he would do the job and made sure to ask about all our gas appliances before starting. He then carried out the necessary work very neatly, wearing booties inside the house to prevent brining in dirt from outside. He explained some concerns he had about repairing the masonry through which the pipes traveled, and made a neat, temporary repair. When he was finished, he cleanded up and checked all the gas appliances and ensured they were working.

I have never had a complaint about them. They have always been very responsive. Their prices are competitive. They have always done excellent work. They have always been very professional.

OUTSTANDING! Stang and their entire crew were professionals from start to finish. Jon spent 45 minutes on the phone with me diagnosing the problem and attempting to pull up the location of the sewer line from his on-line databases. James arrived to bid on the work as scheduled outlining the issues and problems that could occur. For the work involved, their price was reasonable (not the cheapest but not the most expensive) but their service was impressive. They covered our front yard with plywood to alleviate as much damage as possible from the work (imagine a large backhoe and 12 foot high piles of dirt across your yard) and when the work was completed they filled the trench, smoothed it out, and reseeded the entire yard covering it with hay. Most of our neighbors say that our yard looks better than it did before! Most work was completed in two days, with the third day spent on cleanup. The crew - even the younger workers - were professional, respectful, and hard working. They used booties when working inside the house and addressed both my wife and I in a professional manner. When they ran out of time on day 1 to replace the water line they connected us to our neighbors water supply via their garden hose (didn't even know that was possible!) to ensure we had water until the next day. If not, we would of had to of stayed somewhere else that night. We certainly appreciated their thoughtfullness and ingenuity. This company knows how to treat its customers. Stang took what was a very stressful and expensive situation and kept us calm throughout the process. I would strongly recommend this company!

leave it to the expert. there are somethings which are best leaving to do the expert. the guy fixed this in an hour.

Their emergency response was great, and they came back to double check the basement. I have a lift station in my basement, and they found out that because of the way it was installed ground water was leaking out. They are not cheap. They did excellent work. They were very nice, knowledgeable, and responsive. They followed up and worked with me discussing about the budget, etc.

Very professional and very timely. I called at 3:30 to schedule an appointment to snake a clogged drain. I could have lived with a next-day appointment, but Stang took the time to see if there was a technician in my area who might have some free time at the end of their 2:00-4:00pm appointment. Sure enough, I had someone at my house by 4:15pm. They charge $160 minimum for the first hour and $40 per 15 minutes after that. There is an extra $35 to use a drain snake. As a result, simply opening a drain will cost $200 minimum even if, as in my case, the whole thing only takes 10 minutes. My recommendation to others using Stang to open a drain is to keep in mind another plumbing project you might want done if you have considerable time left in your one hour minimum. In my case, I had a broken faucet I was meaning to replace. The technician was able to change it -- and the piping around it -- in the time I had left plus 15 minutes, making the entire experience a bit more cost-effective. Stang doesn't advertise the cheapest rates, but they do advertise competent and considerate technicians. They certainly deliver on that promise and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

They charged me a ridiculous amount and they didn't even fix the problem. The tank was cracked so I understood why they couldn't fix it. I really felt like they overcharged me. Their work has been satisfactory in the past. Their men have been very professional. It was just this one instance that I wasn't happy with.

We discovered on a Saturday night that our garbage disposal was leaking profusely. We found Stang Plumbing on Angie's List and called immediately. This was after 9:00 pm. A plumber called us back with 15 minutes and helped us diagnose the problem. Told us upfront our options and prices and promised to call between 7:00 and 7:30 am Monday morning. At 7:10 am they called to set up the appointment and we scheduled between 2 and 4 pm. An extremely nice and personable plumber arrived at 2:11 pm, checked for leaks and installed a new disposal. The disposal is 10x quieter than our old one with nice features that make it easier to fish out wayward utensils. He was finished before 3:00 pm. Stang Plumbing was a great find! They were extremely responsive, friendly, punctual, and efficient. And they did what they said they were going to do. We are more than pleased with Stang and highly recommend their service. We have found a new plumber!
