 + 0 moreThe pipes from our laundry room go around 2 corners and often get clogged. The clog was so bad that laundry water was backing up into the bathroom sink. The last plumber we had broke his snake trying to clear this drain. Another plumber had recommended Liquid Plumber which did not work. Rob showed up on time and had drain flowing within 20 minutes. It is working better than it has in years. He also answered questions we had about our main line and maintenance. Super friendly. Super professional. We had to pay for an hour's work, but it was worth it.

 + -1 moreThey fixed a frozen sump pump and its outlet pipes, and corrected issue where the builder did not install the overflow or blow out hole correctly in the sump pump, which cause the issue for our home which is just two years old. It went very well. He not only was on time, he work protective gear not to get the home dirty, SHOWED me everything that was wrong and why, with support via I phone of how it should have been, and then corrected it. Was very courteous, and just a pleasure to have fixing the issue.

 + -1 moreThe bottom line is that Josh did a great job of identifying and resolving a number of issues and he took the time to explain what maintenance steps I can take to avoid future problems.
Description of Work: Josh L did a great job of addressing a number of plumbing problems. Hot water from our water heater was coming out 10-15 degrees colder than before. Josh determined the lower thermastat was borderline and replaced it. He also examined the water leak in the basement coming from the kitchen sink/dishwasher area. Our sink aerator was loose so he tightened that to eliminate future water leaking. He also determined that, based on water stains on the subflooring as seen in the basement, water was also leaking between the cabinet and spash guard behind the sink. He recommended I let the area dry out and then apply a silicone caulk seal, which I plan to do. Next, he tightened my sink faucet which leaked when I raised the lever too high. There was evidence of a former leak under the dishwasher and Josh recommended I clean the door seal with vinegar to make sure there is a clean area for sealing the door. I now have this on my maintenance list as a quarterly preventative task. Next, I had a minor leak in the piping leading from my sump pump to the outside, and Josh replaced the seal. Finally, we had been getting sewer odors in the powder room sink when turning on the water. Josh showed me that the sink overflow opening was clogged and how to clean this out as well.

 + -1 moreOur Stang plumber showed up a few minutes late - but we had a fog alert all over the area and traffic was horrible. No worries. He was courteous, told me exactly what the problem was, and how he was going to fix it. We had a clog that had to be dug out with a drill like thing, and we needed the wall valve replaced as it was very old (probably original to the house or at least 30 years old). The repair took about 45 minutes and he put on covers on this shoes each time he came in from the truck. They asked if I had my Angie's List coupon since I had told the scheduler we were Angies List participants. I didn't have it, but no worries - I use the list for quality providers, and I will definitely use them again. Because he had to turn off the water coming into the house, he had seen the condition, and suggested that we replace it soon. He quoted the approximate time and costs (not bad at all) and I told him I would definitely consider doing it soon. Overall, a great experience! Would use them again.
Description of Work: We had a toilet that was continuously running for the last 3 days - it would fill up even though we had turned it off at the wall valve - we had to set the alarm all night last night to get up and pan it out so it wouldn't flood downstairs again. We needed a good plumber fast and Stang was highly rated. I wrote to them to get an estimate on their website and they called me within an hour. We set up an appointment the next morning (today) at 8 am to get this fixed.

I called several providers and was told repeatedly that no one was available to come that afternoon. Stang was available and would arrive in 30-45 minutes I was told. I was told the minimum charge upfront and directed to the webpage to find a coupon which would save $20 off the cost. The technician arrived promptly and took care of the work in a timely and professional manner. We were thankful it was not more serious than it turned out to be.We will use Stang again for sure.
Description of Work: Diagnosed and repaired leak in basement ceiling coming from refrigerator tubing. Also looked at running toilet and replaced parts.

 + -1 moreWe called Stang Plumbing at 9pm on a Saturday night because we'd just had what we thought was a split pipe in a wall due to DIY repairs we were attempting on a toilet. The plumber called back within 30 minutes, and made it to our house within an hour for the emergency work. He quickly and efficiently diagnosed the problem (it wasn't a broken pipe in the wall, but a break in a pipe leading to the wall), and was able to fix it very quickly. He was happy to talk to us about how to save us money (he used our supplies rather than his own to avoid charging us). He also then was happy to look at a few other minor issues in the house as he said that our emergency call gave us 1 hour, and the pipe fix had only taken 30 minutes. He talked very clearly about what we needed to do to prevent pipe issues we'd been having, and gave good recommendations on new toilets, pipes and the like. He was quick and efficient and very professional. We'd happily use him and Stang Plumbing again.

 + -1 moreI called Stang Plumbing for service on a leak in my kitchen faucet. Dawn told me they could get to me on the next call. Literally within minutes she called back to tell me the technician was on his way to my house. The tech arrived in less than 20 minutes and diagnosed the problem quickly. The existing 10 year old faucet was not repairable, so they replaced the kitchen faucet with a new Delta fixture. The technician cleaned up completely and was finished and gone in less than two hours from the time I placed the original call. Stang Plumbing has a great staff of people and delivery high quality work at fair prices. You can't get better service from any other provider at a lower cost. I would certainly recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: Called Stang Plumbing for service on a leak in the kitchen faucet. They responded almost immediately with a technician at my door. The existing faucet was not repairable, so the replace the kitchen faucet with a new Delta fixture and were gone in less than an hour.

 + 0 moreThey were prompt and courteous. They correctly diagnosed issue on toilet #1- a simple, inexpensive part and installation. Be warned - before you confirm a service call with this company, confirm that they can service your brand of fixture on-site and will have basic parts of this brand. I was told they only carry Kohler parts. They will order other brands; however you will be charged a mark-up and will be charged for a "follow-up visit to do the repair. I declined and ordered the part online and had a friend install it in 5 minutes. Is this normal for all companies? Toilet # 2 - a full replacement of toilet. They had only one make/model toilet at the shop (none on the truck). To do the repair during this service call, the only option was to purchase the shop model. (They told me I could go to Home Depot and get one, and they would come back (another service call) to install it. In the end I agreed to the toilet back at the shop as it would have been a wasted service call altogether. They did the installation in a timely manner. Summary: In future when making a service appointment I will ask whether the company repairs and carries parts for the brand in my home.

None of this pricing info is listed on your offer nor on their website. Your offer needs to be more carefully worded. I want my $20 back.

On the phone I was clearly told what the minimum charges would be and they were competitive with other companies I have used. The work was done quickly (within the minimum time) and clean up was great. The job was done using better materials than I had expected and I am very pleased with the result. They even told me about the Angie's List coupon which saved me some extra money.

 + -1 moreI knew I had a pluming issue but had no clue how bad it was. When he arrived he quickly realized it was very bad but didn't have the equipment needed to deal with it. He had to call another plummer with the company to bring him the necessary equipment (a snake that goes 30+ feet). I later spoke with a few people who said that a main line snake of 50 ft is standard for all plummers to bring on all jobs and it was ridiculous that he had to call someone else. No, I wasn't charged for the time but it was a waste of time. Next time (which I hope never happens again) I won't use them and will call someone who has the right equipment the first time.
