Repair then lead to Install a new exaust fan

This saga began a year ago. The company did not tell me the full truth: I was originally just going to do 1/2 of the job - the outside wire. Fore the record, you cannot do just an upgrade of the wire at one time, and then the box, which is what Anthony, their guy, told me. Once they had done the work and the wire was noticeably the same size, I asked around and - lo and behold - I would have had to pay for a wire again when I finally did the heavy-up (basically, paying for the same thing twice) I contacted them and worked something out: they would do the full heavy up, eat the price of the smaller wire, but get the full price for the full heavy-up. A fair compromise, and I appreciated it. EXCEPT... It has been a never ending saga to get them out here. This included scheduling appointments that they missed without informing me (for which I sacrificed personal days from work), bringing out newbie electricians whose work did not pass inspection, not passing on that information to me when they found out that the inspections did not pass... and now I am past the one year mark on an over-priced heavy-up (I eventually started shopping around and got estimates when I could not get through to the office, and discovered that they charge more than other highly rated electricians on Angies List). I am sitting at home today after taking a day off - again - so I coudl be here for the final inspection. They emailed me today at 11:45 to let me know that they had scheduled the inspection for Friday. For the record, I called J&P Plumbing on Monday to get an inspection for this day, too, since I was going to be home for the Kolb one. The DPIE inspector was here at 11 and left already: inspection for their work passed. Bottom Line: Unless you are a retiree with money to burn and the time to hound their office day ad night to make sure that they follow through on what they say they will do, don't use Kolb.

Ben was fantastic and told me about a recessed light that plugs directly into an existing AB box. So nice looking without all the hassle of installing a full recessed light kit.

The work was very good. The electrician was professional and personable. My problem was the cost was nearly half again as much as I expected.

Leroy was extremely professional. He arrived exactly on time, was friendly, courteous, and patient with my many questions. He was careful to clean up behind himself, as well. He was in the house for about 2.5 hours, plus some materials. (I can't comment on price, as we've never hired an electrician before and have nothing to compare it to.)

Work was good however I ask for an invoice (I paid at the time of service) and never received it. I wanted an estimate for future service and never received a reply

Half the house was proper wiring and half the house was improper wiring so they switched it over.

Appt went very well- tech was on time (even a few minutes early); communicative, friendly, direct (in a polite manner), with goal-directed activity. Checked out the breaker-box, dishwasher and made the correction in under 30 minutes. Provided helpful information on the breaker box (age & condition, which he described as being in good shape and did not solicit any additional work). Even provided a suggestion on a 3-way wiring of an overhead light while he was writing up ticket and was waiting for credit card authorization. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Excellent, clean and efficient. It took about 20 minutes. He was courteous and respectful.

I have used this company in the past and won't use them ever again. Their price quote was simply offensive.

We always to to Kolb Electric for all of our electrical work. I called to request a certain electrician because I have come to trust his work. This particular electrician was on a contract job and they pulled him so he could complete my job. Glenn is always reliable, punctual, professional and extremely knowledgeable. We will continue to use Kolb electric for all of our electrical needs and always recommend them to others.

The Kolb dispatcher went way out of her way to find a technician that was available to make my service call the next morning. I received a phone call from the same Kolb dispatcher advising me the electrician was on his way. He was scheduled to arrive after 9:00 AM but actually arrived at 8:45 AM. He appeared well groomed and neat. He was very polite. Went to work right away and in 30 minutes he had completed the repair and on his way. His work was excellent. I am most pleased with their service.

They had one guy who was horrible, and then they sent out another guy who fixed that. The first guy who came out didn't know how to fix the problem, he did not know how to diagnose the problem. I ended up having to call the company and have a long conversation with them, and they sent someone else out. I ended up being charged twice, because the first guy just did not have an idea of what he was doing. At the end of the service, they handed me an electronic pad to sign that they had done the work, but there was nothing on the pad to say that the work was done to my satisfaction and everything else. It was just a signature to say that they were here eventually. Then they sent me an email that included a lot more information that I was signing to that was not on the pad that they provided. It wasn't anything that made me feel that I needed to call a lawyer or anything, but it was a little slimy. What they asked me to sign was what they verbally asked me to sign, and what they sent were two different things. I would not use them under any circumstances.
