Not good. The guy that came to do the initial assessment didn't assess correctly and ended up telling the guy to only recaulk, and not regrout. By the time I realized it, it was too late for him to regrout since the shower had to stay dry after he caulked. I had bought a 4 hour package, so I had to come up with other little things for him to do and I ended up wasting my 4 hours on nonsense.

I was outraged with the cost of an estimate. I have never paid for an estimate on Angie's list.

Fredy Garcia and Ricardo Velasquez showed up on time on both days they were scheduled to be here. They were courteous and careful in my home at all times. They went about their work in an efficient and professional fashion. At this point, I would have to say that the items they worked on are at least as good as they were when I moved in (13 years ago), and in the case of a couple of the items, better than they have ever been.

JW Home Improvement met or exceeded all expectations. Bryan made an appraisal of the job and set me up with beginning the work the following two days. He was very professional and itemized the job. Alex and William performed the work in the subsequent 2 days and filled me in when I returned from work. They had sequential pictures of the work to show their progress and the rotted wood that was removed. They were very professional and showed great concern for avoiding soiling the carpets, etc. The job finished with the windows completely restored and looking as good as before they were removed. I have only the highest regard for their workmanship and professionalism.

Guys did everything they had to do.

Thomas Matamoros, the repairman provided by JW Home Improvement arrived timely and did an excellent job completing the work. When additional items were needed to complete the job, he was clear in saying exactly what parts were needed at the home improvement store. The work was completed in a timely, expeditious, and high-quality manner.

Great! They were very professional, nice and cleaned up after themselves. The work was done in the allotted time. I would definitely use them again.

We were very happy with the work. Sam was our first contact and he was very helpful, as was everyone else we spoke with. Carlos actually came out to do the work and he was pleasant and efficient.

I had Josh come out several weeks ago to provide the estimate and schedule the work. At the time, he told me I would need to pay in full and charged $424.00 on August 9th. He scheduled my work for Saturday, August 20th. Telly, the dispatcher, reached out to me the morning of the 20th to inform me that the technician's truck had broken down and they would need to reschedule. I was very understanding and just requested priority scheduling for the next open Saturday, which was today. However, I did not hear back from Telly and had to call on Wednesday to get the job scheduled. Telly seemed to have amnesia about our conversation and did not remember telling me I could have a Saturday appointment. He assured me I would have a technician come by today (August 27th) between 8 and 9am. Chris even emailed me yesterday to confirm the job. Unfortunately, the technician did not come and I called their office to inquire. Chris told me he could not reach the technician and didn't know what was going on. After paying $424.00 up front, wasting 2 Saturdays of my life waiting for this unprofessional company and then having to chase them to even schedule the work, I WILL NOT be using this company again. I asked for a full refund but Chris was unable to do that for me because only the office manager is able to do that. For their sake, I hope the charges will be reversed soon before I report them to the BBB. Completely ridiculous!

Cesare was a wizard. He was able to match color with the existing grout, which was not standard and leveled the counters that were not level from when they were installed by the previous homeowner. He also sealed the backsplash along the entire length of the kitchen cabinets and the work looks amazing. He finished within the prescribed time and did a great job cleaning up!!!

I was called two days after the estimate paperwork was confirmed and a date was set and time was set. Cesare arrived well within the agreed upon time. He wore foot protection as he moved around the house to the deck. He went quickly to work and finished the job as agreed upon. The deck looks great!!!!!

Just talking to JW Home Improvement over the phone gave me peace of mind. They were very helpful and totally understood my needs. They assisted me by making an appointment very quick and easy. Very polite as well.

I explained the urgency and tight time frame in my initial call. I listed the small projects I needed done. I scheduled an appointment for the work to be done the next week and left the required deposit. The day before the appointment, JW called and I discovered that their person was only coming to estimate the work - not actually do it. I would need to schedule the work to be done at a later date but they couldn't confirm they could get it done when I needed it done. I cancelled the appointment and found someone else to do the work the next day. JW did call back but by then I had already found someone else. JW kept my deposit of $50 and, in the end, didn't do anything. They seemed like nice guys and I'm sure they do good work. I just thought it was a little cheap to kept my deposit after I thought I was very clear about my scheduling needs from the very beginning.

We're happy with the work. It's hard to get contractors for small jobs, but JW makes it easy. We had purchased a deal through Angie's List for 4 hours of wood repair, and then discussed a bigger job when the estimator came out. We requested Thomas to do the work, because we were impressed by the quality of his work on an earlier job. We definitely recommend him! We opted for the repair using PVC instead of more wood to replace the rotted material. The job was done in 1 day -- 11-3/4 man hours, including having them purchase the supplies. There was some kind of scheduling issue, and instead of 2 men, only Thomas showed up at first. However, that got resolved within a couple of hours.

It was wonderful! He is extremely helpful & I appreciate that he is trying to get me the best deal for the work I need done. I've already used them twice & I think they are a great company!

The work was great. The gentleman who did the work was professional and did a great job. Dealing with JW, however, was not great. Scheduling was a pain, their billing was all wrong, I had to make a bunch of phone calls to get these basic issues resolved. To be clear, the low marks in my review entirely have to do with dealing with JW - not the guy who came to do the work.

Repair work on door was excellent--in fact, several other handy guys had tried to fix it & failed. Other work was fine, except repairman broke something & had to go to hardware store to get supplies, & I was originally billed for his time & supplies, although later some of this cost was removed. In hindsight, I should have made a note on the time sheet.

The wood rot was repaired and the leak was addressed with caulking and the addition of some pvc. The job required an additional two hours which seemed very reasonable. The trim around the door was also painted. The estimate and work was provided professionally and all involved were friendly and informative. Job well done for a reasonable price.

Pedro was the employee they sent for JW Home Improvement. He was professional, polite and a very nice guy form the start to the finish. The painting only took 45 minutes but the other 3 hours of time was for the primer to dry. So all things considered I went over by 30 minutes on this 4 hour deal.

After giving the person a description of exactly what I wanted an estimate on he sent back an estimate that reflected none of the work I wanted done in the manner I had prescribed. The estimate was useless. Further exacerbating the problem was the range for estimate: the high and low end were so vastly apart that it was meaningless in actually estimating what the cost would be. And to add insult to injury, they charged $50 to come out and do the estimate.
