It turned out well. They did the job unexpectedly. The Angie's List deal was helpful. We saved a lot of money. It turned out well. They finished the job within a couple of days. I have no complaints. It was good. They went above and beyond. He made sure he did the work right other than just doing it. He cleaned up after he left. Whatever they did is holding well. I didn't have to call them again. The price was justified with the work they did. They do good work. They were punctual. They came on time. I would definitely use him in the future.

Everything was excellent up until billing. The estimate was professional and clear, the workers did a good job and were professional and punctual. The work has held up well, at least for the initial few months to date. But, we paid an advance and used an Angie's List deal, both of them cashed in up front. After the work was done, we were never able to get them to send an invoice. This included several weeks of emails and calls. When we finally got an invoice, it turned out we were owed money back. Not sure if they were just unresponsive or were using our money as a short-term loan, but it was not a good final impression.

Kenny, Fredy and Ricardo came out to do the work, and they did a great job. The were efficient and friendly. They fixed the siding, the trim, the roof, all the caulking, and they even trimmed the tree.

I cannot thank enough for the service I got. JW's customer service is beyond par and one of the best. I really loved it when they resolved all my issues and concerns, I will definitely recommend them to anyone. A+ Five stars and whole nine yards!!

The guys were great. Freddy and Ricardo were 100% professional and did an outstanding job. They (as well as the folks at the home office) kept me informed at every step of the process. I never found myself wondering how things were going. I felt they were a little pricey, but for the quality and the customer service, I would definitely hire again.

Very well. The technician was very efficient and respectful. Was able to complete all our items on our punch-list.

The technician was an excellent carpenter who handcrafted a piece of cedar wood and fixed the damaged area.

It went great! We had a deal of four hours for $199. He went over by about an hour but we got so much done we felt it was worth it. The only problems we had were not with Justin, but with scheduling. We the phone folks are nice but could be more organized. I got bounced around a bit. The original day we scheduled for an estimate had to be postponed on their end and was rescheduled a week later. The estimator was in a big hurry but the job got done. All-in-all, we are satisfied, especially with Justin.

Great! Justin was very thorough and professional, removing all the old moldy caulk (several layers in some places) and replacing it, leaving the shower area as though it had just been installed. Though his work was painstaking, he actually finished is less time than the estimator had quoted me. I'd use JW again and ask for Justin!

Pedro was wonderful! He arrived on time and did a very thorough professional work. He cleaned up very well after the job. The paint job on the repaired area looks great. I've waited to write my review until we've had a heavy rain. The repairs kept the rain out. My only suggestion... remind the homeowner that they will need trim paint for the job. I had it, but had to search while Pedro waited.

The repairman arrived on time. He explained what he intended to do and how long (maximum) he thought it would take. The repair took a bit less time than predicted. He did as much as he could to keep the inside door closed to prevent debris coming into my house. He cleaned up very well. The repair fixed the problem and looks very good. This is the second time I've used JW for rotting wood around my house. I would definitely use them again for rotting wood and other services.

I purchased a 3 hour deal with JW and had work done for that deal in August. In 3 hours the contractor was only able to hang 2 shelves and a picture as well as fix an exhaust fan. He seemed more concerned with getting in and out within the 3 hours then to get as much work on my list done. The work was poorly done. I called back JW to have someone come back out to redo the work. We scheduled an appointment which they called and canceled 30 minutes before the arrival time. I had already left work early to make it in time for a cancellation. I was supposed to receive a call back to reschedule. Instead I received a call confirming a new appointment I never set up. When someone finally came back out, he communicated the issues with the job done. Biggest issues were the shelves that were put up by the first contractor, were screwed to my walls upside down. That is why anything I placed on them kept sliding off. He repaired my screen door as a "sorry" for the poor job that was done before. Really nice guy but now my screen door won't lock. My biggest disappointment is I never heard back from JW to even apologize for the first person who came out and did such poor work - like putting shelves upside down on walls. I received a letter inciting me to refer them to my neighbors but nothing on the job and headache of getting someone in to fix it. :( As mentioned I was contacted by JW Home Improvements after posting a review about my initial contact with them and the original work they did in my home. I was contacted by the right away. I discussed my concerns with them and they promised a letter of thanks along with gift cards for future work to be performed by them. That was 3 weeks ago. After they said they were placing in the mail that day. No letter, no gift cards, and my screen door still does not lock.

Great estimate provided by Josh and very satisfied with the technicians final product as well. Took 2 men, 3 hours, so was billed for 6 total hours of work. Used an Angie's List deal for 3 hours ($199), then paid for the additional 3 hours separately. Have already planned to schedule another set of odd jobs to be done with JW.

Declined services, due to price unfairness. They charge for estimates and then they only do T&M-LH (labor hour) contracts. If a companies accepts ONLY hourly work and not fixed price work, this suggest they are not competent enough to evaluate how long the job will take to then give 1 price. Why would anyone accept work from someone who cant properly evaluate how long the job will take after reviewing the scope, which was paid for by the customer? This company sounds like a joke.

GREAT The response, estimate, work and followup were all top notch. Josh was our contact and estimator, he was knowledgeable and very responsive. Oscar was our tech and he was excellent in skill, and professionalism. The whole process was smooth, everybody I ever spoke with was professional, upbeat, and knew their job!

The total experience working with JW was excellent. There was a little confusion between us when the estimator came out instead of the technician. i needed a kitchen cabinet removed for the installation of a new refrigerator the next day. The estimator understood my dilemma and proceeded to remove the cabinet using my tools. As an estimator he carried no tools. i was not charged for his time removing the cabinet. Super customer service. A follow up estimator came out to review the remaining work. The estimate was reasonable and the work was scheduled. The technician, Glenn Spilman, arrived at the scheduled time and went right to work. He was very professional and polite. He made sure everything he did met my expectations and he kept everything neat and clean. The final cost of the job was slightly less than the estimate. Glenn was super to work with and i would gladly have him back.

Work so far appears to be ok, but final cost was double that of estimate. Not all of the work requested in the original estimate was completed.

They did a good job and were kind of slow. They made go through a lot of options and they didn't work on the weekend. They were good to work with. It took longer to get the job done than I expected.

It was a train wreck. I scheduled for an appointment on a Wednesday morning - the company called Tuesday afternoon and said that they had accidentally scheduled the appointment on the guy's day off and asked if they could reschedule for first thing in the morning - 8:00am the following Monday. I adjusted my work schedule to accomodate, but by 10:00 on Monday no one had showed up. I called the office and they said the guy had some delay, but is on the way. I received a call at 10:20 saying the guy had further delays and hoped to be out around 12:00. They also informed me that the guy was not coming out to do the 3 hours of handyman work, but only coming out to estimate the job and schedule someone to come out later... In my opinion, when you purchase 3 hours of basic handyman services, an individual should be sent out that can fulfill this requirement - not an estimator who will look at the project to schedule someone else to do the work (and likely try to upcharge you for more time). Regardless, the inability to keep a scheduled appointment - even when the customer tries to be flexible is inexcusable. It wouldve been easier and cheaper for me to do the work myself.

The repair itself went fine. The guy came and now the faucet is working beautifully. However, it took much longer than the estimator had expected and so JW billed us an additional $250 above the $400 deal we purchased on Angie's list. JW really did spend that much time helping us, so their bill isn't fraudulent. And our bathroom faucet had unusual issues that made it take longer without JW necessarily being at fault. But it was definitely disappointing to have a repair take so much longer than we'd been told. UPDATE 10-10-16 This is a revision to my previous review about the faucet fix. In my previous review, I said that the faucet fix cost more than I'd expected. JW reached out to me and removed the extra charges. I'd like to thank Matt especially for his help.

James and Sung performed the work. They did an excellent job, were courteous, punctual and very professional.

We had two different handymen complete the jobs. David removed the shelving and Bob worked on the door frame. Also, Jesse did the initial site visit and coordinated for David and Bob. EVERYONE was extremely professional and clearly skilled at their craft. I will absolutely use JW Home Improvement again for any of my home improvement needs. I highly recommend this company. The service is professional from the moment you dial their number.
