They did send 2 people, who showed up on time. However, they didn't even get through half the list. Here is what they did in 6 total hours: 1) Mounted a 32" TV 2) Installed two small curtains and one large curtain 3) Glued the handrail (one small cut) 4) Calibrated a french door so it didn't stick I can understand that mounting the TV might have required 2 people, but the rest of it certainly did not. Two EXPERTS should have been able to get through so much more than that in 3 hours. Perhaps I should have been more micromanaging and been on top of them, but I did not expect to have to do that. I certainly will not be working with these people again.

This was the first time using JW Home improvement. Thomas was scheduled to do the work. His professionalism and workmanship was excellent. He did an excellent job replacing the dry wall. He also went the "extra mile" fixing couple of old cabinet doors so that they can close better! I will ask for him the next time!

It was good, they did a good job. They did a good job, the guy showed up on time and did his thing and did a good job.

This was a big deal purchase. The caulking was very good. I love what they did. There was one thing, I had to supply the materials and then I got the wrong materials. I had to go back and get the right materials but that was fixed. I was very happy with the work. I would give them a very good review. It was excellent for everything. It was a lot of hard work; I noticed that he really worked hard. It seemed like it was going to be an easy job, but, boy, when I saw it, it was really well done. To improve their service, they might tell us that they will text the supplies that they need when they give us the estimate to tell us that they are going to go get it and they are not going to charge us a fee to get it. Otherwise ask for more money for the job but have all the materials on hand for caulking. Whoever came out the first time told me to get one kind of caulking, but when the guy got here he said that was not the right kind of caulking. It was a minor detail. I was happy with everything on that.

Good. They did exactly everything I asked for.

The workers were very efficient and were able to get it done in 10 horus instead of a day and half as quoted in the original estimate.

They were on time and successfully completed all work needed in a timely and neat manner.

As always, JW send an estimated who was very thorough and professional. He estimated 4 and a half days for the work. Fernando and Jesus were our crew. They worked quickly and there was no down time. The work was completed a day ahead of schedule saving us over a thousand dollars. They work that Fernando and Jesus did was excellent. They made great recommendations on ways to accomplish the tasks and then followed through superbly. For scheduling and other admin issues, I was supported by Sam and Matt who were personable, thorough and excellent to work with. Great company and great workers.

Original review indicated problems that were not rectified. Since, however, the issues have been resolved and I am pleased and would not hesitate to call and use JW Home Improvement again.

It went well. We used them again afterwards. The pricing was okay. We wanted them to hang some yards up around the house but they said that there's a minimum charge.

Ok. Guy broke a window but they covered half of the price for the fix. Didn't finish everything and I paid for a total of the 4 hours plus an additional 2. Very professional but could have (perhaps) worked a bit quicker to finish entire job. Had to negotiate with the for the window fix that they broke. Initially wanted me to pay for all of it because of the damage to the wood surrounding the door. Told them I'd pay half and the agreed. They did set up the contractor for the window which was good.

Extremely well, very thorough and advised me on options.

I did not have a good experience with the first few calls to JW but we couldn't be happier with the person who came out and did the actual work. We bought an Angie's List deal for $199 for four hours of wood rot restoration/repair. When we called JW and mentioned the deal, the first thing they said was, "Well, four hours isn't a lot of time to fix wood rot, so you can upgrade to another deal of $XYZ for XYZ hours if you'd like." Didn't love that they were trying to upsell from the very first moment. We didn't but the "new deal" and instead scheduled the estimate. The person doing the estimate was professional, on time, and very friendly but he said that the three pieces of wood might run us 1-2 hours per piece so we'd have to pay for up to 2 additional hours of labor. We were floored. No way it should take that long to get the materials and replace three pieces of wood! When we ended up scheduling, we said we just want four hours of work (the whole coupon) and then to be done. We couldn't have been more impressed with the person who came out to the do the work. He was incredibly professional and didn't waste a second. He went to the store to get the materials and fixed all three pieces of wood with time to spare. He even asked if there was anything else he could do for the last 20 minutes or so since he was done early. What a true professional! I don't know if we'll use JW again because I really didn't like the whole front office experience but their work was great so no complaints there.

It didn't. JWHI sent four emails within 24 hours of my buying the deal to schedule an estimate. We made an appointment for three weeks out, on a Monday afternoon between 2-5 pm. On the Saturday before, I got a call confirming that appointment. But the morning of the appointment, JWHI called at 7:30 a.m. and left a message announcing that they were sending someone else who would be at my home between 11 - 11:30 a.m. and to call back if I had any questions. When I called back at 7:40 a.m. to say that the early arrival was unacceptable, I was told they'd "get back to me before 10 am to see whether the appointment could be rescheduled to the 2-5 timeframe as originally scheduled." I said I needed an answer within 5 minutes, or I wanted the deal canceled and a refund. I got the call back within 5 minutes, saying they couldn't reschedule their route. I was offered a refund of my $50 estimate fee. The JWHI caller seemed surprised that I'd paid over $400 for six hours of labor through Angie's List, but promised that I would be refunded in full. Later that day, I emailed JWHI asking for confirmation of that refund promise, and was told I needed to seek the refund through Angie's List. Now Angie's List appears to be giving me the run-around on the refund (7-10 business days, they'll need to call and review the case with me). Not the way I would treat a repeat customer disappointed with unprofessional behavior, and not exactly "gold member" treatment by Angie's List when the request is made well within the "30 day refund guarantee" period. This has soured my perspective with regard to both with JWHI and Angie's List. Oh, and the reason the original appointment couldn't be kept? The handyman had his kids for Halloween. JWHI couldn't have figured that out a week or more earlier and made an appropriate adjustment? They need to understand that their clients have lives, too.

Cosme was prompt and very quickly assessed what needed to be done. He did a very thorough job of covering everything so that none of our electronics or furniture was damaged. The area looked almost like a "clean room" with just the area he would be working on exposed. Even though we agreed the paint job on the ceiling holes would be "touch-up quality" and that the whole ceiling would eventually need to be re-painted, the paint match is so good no one has noticed the repair at all. I bet if I give it one more quick coat (using the paint he left and labelled for me) it might not need re-painting at all. The second hole in our laundry room was more extensive (about half the ceiling) and when Cosme realized he would not have time to completely finish and paint it in the hours we had allotted, he immediately let me know and we agreed that he would concentrate on doing another coat of mud the ceiling, and we would sand and paint it later. This is in keeping with the priorities we set before the job - the living room is more important for us to look nice than our laundry room! The damage to our garage is completely unnoticeable now. Just a great job all around. This was our second job with JW and we have been very pleased with both of them.

Excellent! Fernando and Jesus worked on our interior work. They did an exceptional job, were kind and professional, and made our broken kitchen and bath look marvelous. Glenn was a trooper through the exterior work, which he completed solo in searing heat. He did an extraordinary job on our side door. We went from having heat floating in to have a door that keeps the elements out! Glenn also offered a new solution to our continual plumbing problems in our crawl space - huzzah! Thank you, gentlemen!

It went fine. They fixed the problem with my doors that had not been fixed correctly before

It wasn't great. The gentleman didn't do a very good job. He ran out of materials. He tried to patch things up in the end. He forgot about some of the things that he needed to do. It wasn't a very good experience overall. I was disappointed and I would not be using the company again. Their punctuality was okay.

We wouldn't do it again. I don't like their rudeness. We had quite a bit of problems with the home office. The guy who was sent out was fine once we came to an understanding with him but the front office was very rude when we called to say that there were problems. We had difficulty with them. The person who came out to do the work was fine. The office was not very cooperative. He pressured me for four or however many hours. It was an unpleasant experience. I would not do it again. I think it was high priced. I had him power wash everything and it was not a terrific job. He was sitting outside in front of the house staring on his cellphone for hours. It was unpleasant.

Everything was great. This company was more expensive than other estimates but did a good job.

The estimate process and time to actual job was pretty lengthy, but they did a great job!

Sam took care of me and gave me the best options to get my project done. Charles worked hard to get the wood rot window repaired and it looking like new. I did a compare to other similar projects in the neighborhood and JW did the best job. Definitely no short cuts. They want their customers to be happy. I would recommend to anyone without hesitation. Thanks JW!!
