Went very well, they did a nice job. The deck looks new.

Did not have them come because they required 1 appointment to come estimate time required and wanted a consent to take photos and videos in my home. Then they would require several days to set a second appointment to schedule the actual work to be done. They said this was so they could make sure they had all tools needed. I expect a handyman to come prepared to do the simple tasks I was asking for and cancelled and hired someone else who came promptly and did the job well in one visit.

Cesar from JW Home Improvement was assigned to the job and arrived right on time. He went over the details of the job with me and explained everything clearly. The job was originally estimated to take a 1.5 days but Cesar was able to complete the entire job in just one day. He did excellent work on the job.

Work was excellent. Oscar was very knowledgeable, respectful and very good at his job. JW was more expensive than others, but the quality of their work made it worth it.

They did a good job and kept the area clean.

They broke a window but did fix it. The person that came out and assessed the project was really nice but the actual technician was extremely slow and took a lot of cigarette brakes. It was fine in the end.

We have used JW Home Improvement for handyman-type services in the past. We have never been disappointed, and this time was no exception. Josh, the estimator, was prompt, helpful, and easy to work with. Raymond and Thomas were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, and they did fine work. They didn't just re-attach the piece of siding but also secured nearby segments that had come loose. The work was accomplished within the estimated time and everything looks and works great.

Excellent job on calking. However, after about two weeks, the paint began peeling off of the ceiling where the nail pops had been repaired. JWHI responded immediately and sent a new person to fix the bathroom ceiling. This took about five hours and was done at no additional charge to us. We guess that the person who came to do the tile was not an experienced painter but did his best to meet the need while he was on the site.

Average re-contacted via this site and have yet to hear from JW Home improvement.

They did a good job. They were real pros with that. I think we hired them because Angie's List promoted them as a special offer. We called the company to make a date and they must have been overwhelmed with people wanting them because they kept postponing us. Every week we'd get another call, "We're really sorry. We're backed up." It took about four weeks in order for them to finally come here and there were more leaves then than would have been if they'd come when we'd first called them. They did a really good job. I think the price was under one hundred dollars, but I can't remember. We thought the price was really reasonable. I'm not sure of the amount. It was too bad that they kept postponing it, but I think they were overwhelmed with work. They did a good job. I think the regular price was more, so it was a good introduction. I gave them a C for responsiveness because they finally game, but they were overwhelmed. It was an unusual situation they were in. I think they probably miscalculated the number of customer they could handle. I would use them again. I would at least call them. Whether their prices are too high now, is a question. The problem was that it was they who overbooked. I called after the ad came out, just like everyone else.

Went fairly well. See work description for me detail. Work was pretty good and the guys were professional. Cost was $106 hourly per man hour with a 4 hour minimum. They provide a range and I was told by the estimator they mostly come in near at lower end. They blew right passed it my total was 33% higher than top end estimate. They pick up materials at your local store(s) and only charge cost however, they do charge the hourly for the time it takes to go and purchase your materials plus they add 8% to the total bill (on ALL labor and materials) as an overhead charge. It's small print on the estimate. The way it was originally explained I thought it was 8% on the materials for picking it up and bringing it to the home. So, not only are you paying $106 per hour but your also paying an additional 8% overhead. For what I'm not sure because their employees are not getting payed $106.

The service went great. They showed up on time. They did the job professionally and very good and left the place clean.

They called 10 minutes prior to appointment and canceled after I had taken off from work to meet them. They rescheduled and ended up not being able to make another appointment. Someone came out and sent me an estimate 5 days later after I called to inquire about the estimate. When I got the estimate it was somewhat higher than expected. They wanted $300-400 to powerwash a 10x12 deck. Will not call them again.

It went well, and looks good. However, I don't like that the trip to Home Depot to get the materials is counted in the time worked. I had another area that needed attention that there wasn't enough time for. I feel like they do this so you'll purchase additional time.

I had purchased a general handyman purchase a few months earlier and when I called to follow up on the wood restoration, I was informed by JW Home Improvement that because I had purchased a completely different package I was not eligible to use this package. It took about 20 minutes for them to figure this out while I was on the phone. I was then told that I would need to call Angie's list to get my money refunded. As these packages are teasers to entice consumers to use the services of the providers and start a longer term relationship, it was surprising how short sighted they were. When looking at the wording on the deal, their reading of it did not actually correspond to the wording.

Excellent work. They added on a few details that I didn't notice and it made a big difference.

Jim and his team showed up on time and performed the work on time and on budget. This is the second time we've used Jim and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to friends and family for their handyman projects.

Josh was great with the estimate, hence why I am not giving the company all "Fs". My issue came when the service tech didn't show up for my designated time slot. I had taken the morning off work to be there so when people don't show up without even a call, I get very upset. I work in the service industry so I am unsure why the techs don't need to check in for every job to make sure they are sticking to their schedule. That way if they are going to be late for a client, central can call that customer and let them know. I called Josh about 15min after my window and left a voicemail. He never called me back. About 30min after my window I called the main line and got Angie who said she would call the estimator and get back to me. An hour after that I called Angie back - she yet again could do nothing and said her manager would call me back. Her manager, Ed, called me back 2 hours after my window's end telling me that the tech had to get his truck serviced and didn't tell anyone about it. There was nothing they could do except re-schedule possibly for a late night service, which is great since that is when I am trying to get my toddler to bed. Because I bought this service through an Angie's list coupon they couldn't give me any sort of discount. I already paid Angie's list up front so I don't really have much choice but to reschedule. Let's hope they actually show up this time.

Josh came out and provided an estimate. He was above board with a high estimate and professional demeanor. I enjoyed walking through worse case scenarios. The total price was reasonable. Chris and Matt then took care of scheduling the work date. Caesar and Rene came out on time and provided excellent work. Very impressed. Once things were completed I contacted Ed who advised me of the final cost, which ended up being below the estimate. This company not only gets the work done but they understand customer service-a rarity!

It went really very well. Having engaged JW Home Improvement in 2015, I was very comfortable engaging JW for the projects outlined above. From the point of first contact with the administrative office through to job completion, Jesse Wertjes and his team were highly professional, competent, resourceful, and responsive. They want you as the customer to be completely satisfied. I have had many family members and friends through and to person, each is quite impressed with what they see, and so am I.

Roberto performed the work to be done at a high level of professionalism and ease. He obviously had a plan of operation and carried it out without hesitation. When all was done he asked me to try out the correction to see if I was pleased with the result. I am now very happy and relieved that I will not have to resort to other means to address the problem. As stated Roberto is pleasant to work with and, unlike the original employee, he did not complain about what was required for the job.

Excellent service. Very hard worker and completed every task quickly and with no issues.
