Did not know an estimator was coming for the first visit so arranged life to prep the work area and remove family etc They did the work promptly but should have identified the estimator as visit #1.

The caulking was done very neatly and continuously without gaps. Exactly what we were looking for.

My issue with JW is the fact that you have to schedule an initial appointment for an estimate even if the job is exactly what is described in the service coupon purchased. Also, I had caulking done and it has already started coming up on one of the bathroom sink areas that was re-caulked.

Went pretty well. They told me to buy a certain grout before the technician cMe but he said I needed another. The technician did a good job and the only problem was he missed a seam for caulking that I did afterwards.

Reasonable job during 4 hours for $200 deal. Did not follow up with bid for completing work required. Their normal hourly rate is much higher so I did not want them doing this by the hour.

The worker they sent was exceptional, very pleased with his professionalism and expertise. It's been a year so I can't recall his name, alas. Definitely recommend!

The bathroom work went without a hitch, but the window that had rot issues cracked while they were trying to repair it. They dealt with the problem with great professionalism, and paid for the replacement of a new one. The crew was very good, and very pleasant. We would hire them back in a heartbeat!

Umberto did the work quickly and efficiently. He was flexible and helped me with moving items out of a room that I needed to get empty with short notice. He worked right up until the last minute and was easy to work with. I would diffidently use JW again and ask specify for Umberto.

Took a long time to schedule and get work completed - 2 stages to review and estimate and then to have work performed. The work was done well.

It went well. JW Home Improvement gets good marks for customer communication. I knew every step of the way what was happening and when. I was warned early on that one particular door might require extra work due to the awkward size of the frame. When that happened, they did the job well and explained clearly why they proceed as they did. I would hire them again.

Overall everything we very well. I was especially pleased with all aspects of both Alberto and Kevin who performed the work.

Very unfortunate since I was happy with work JW did in 2014. I guess either they have become too 'big' to handle a small 2 day home job or perhaps it was just the individual estimator assigned to this neighborhood in Gaithersburg. Now that I am aware of their current business practices, well worth losing the 199.00 prepay. Angie's List however also lost a customer since I cannot trust their recommendations.

It didn't go since the estimator arrived 4 hours late and gave us a lousy estimate 4 days later. He wanted to charge a fee for the estimate which he waived after realizing he was playing with the wrong people!

The worker did a great job. He was fast, neat and the results were what I'd hoped for.

We had part of our balcony/upper deck painted by Alexey today. He was prompt, courteous, professional, and he did a great job today. We purchased the special of Angie's List for 3 hours at $149. Even the special was a little high compared to a day laborer from 7-11 for $10/HR; however, do you want someone like that in your home. Those workers could be anybody, have anything on their mind, and could have done who knows what. You have someone to hold accountable with JW. JW has been around for a while. Their work is guaranteed. I have used them before and their handymen do no come to your home reeking of pot, crack, underarm odor, liquor, or meth. They have footies if they have to walk through your home. I don't know why people on here complain about JW's prices as their prices are quoted in advance. I would have been ****** if I had paid $320 for 3 hours of painting which is their normal rate. But I paid $149 and I did not have to pay for brushes, drop cloth, roller, or any supplies. Again, their work is guaranteed. Their special price for 3 hours on Angie's List is fair. We are all working for money and profit. So the key is to get their specials on Angie's List and don't go over the time limit. The only disconnect was that the estimator could not tell me exactly if any supplies would be needed. It would be great if their estimators actually had more work experience. I am giving them a 4.5 and rounding it up to a 5.

The handymen were great, they worked hard and did a great job completing all of the work I had lined up for them. The main issue was with scheduling, the first appointment I setup I had given them the list of work to be completed and only found out it was an assessment upon arrival. I took a half day off assuming he would be completing the work. For the actual appointment day, no one came in the morning, I contacted Chris (scheduler) and he was able to get someone there within the hour to take care of the job. I appreciated that they owned up to the mistake and took care of it in a timely fashion. They completed this all on a Saturday was another major plus.

They did a good job. They were prompt and professional, and brought all their own tools, ladders and equipment to complete the job.

They called to set up the appointment, kept the scheduled time, and the person who arrived was very respectful and cordial. He got right to work and was very efficient. Each time I have used them, I have been very pleased.

It took a bit of coordinating the approval of the work to be done. However, once JW Remodeling responded and reported for the task at hand, I was very pleased. It turned out I did not need the fan replaced and opted to get new light bulb covers installed on the fan. With the consultation of the service guy, he not only installed them, but cleaned the fan making it look brand new. He also went on to adjust the light chain on another fixture in the dining room and cleaned a hall light fixture. I felt he was there to serve and not just get paid for one job and go home. He was able to make good use of the time and maximized the quantity/quality of service for the time allotted. I would utilize them again due to the professionalism and service rendered on this ticket. I felt I received more than my monies worth and I'm happy!

The job was completed and I was pleased.

Work was completed within 3-hour window despite attempted hard sell for twice the allotted time by individual providing initial estimate.

I declined the offer and requested Angie's List to refund my coupon purchase.

Went well. On time, professional, finished within the 3 hour deal time. Best surprise was NO surprises. No attempt and up-sales or drawing out the work. Estimator was very accurate. Technician was quite personable.
