Description of Work: JW (Bob) was able to determine he source of a leak that several other folks could not figure out. He then presented his recommendation in a manner in which my wife and could both understand and completed the work in a timely and professional manner. His fix was so successful that several of my neighbors experiencing the same issue have contacted JW for help. What a great group.

Description of Work: We didn't end up hiring the provider as they were 2 weeks backed up to do their initial visit which would have made the work about 3 weeks after purchase. The work needed done sooner, so we went with another company. I wasn't angry though because for a good company / good work, that's probably how the waiting list should be. Maybe though they shouldn't be offering a coupon though while they are backed up??

Description of Work: I contacted JW the first hurdle is that they only come out one day a week to my area to do the estimates so if you cannot be home on a Thursday they will not come to give you an estimate the 2nd issue is when we did get together to come see the job they said my four hour job is 7 hrs because I have to pay the labor rate of $140.00/ hr rate for the guy to go to the home depot to pickup the supplies he needs so if he wants to take a coffee break or there is an accident or a crowd of construction workers picking up supplies we are paying for labor for the trip to the store Then the final straw on the day before the day the work was to be done they said thunder showers in the forecast- we have to reschedule The day is beautiful I checked the forecast as soon as i heard that message -no rain at all just clouds perfect day to work outside. This process started april 17 and it is now June 17th for a deck railing to be repaired , very small job- absolutely wouldnot use them again. Oh and there disclaimer is that will only come out for no less than $400.00 so I bought an angies list wood rot repair for 4 hrs of work but they get their money by charging for the trip to the store and of course adding 3-4 more hours of labor --

Description of Work: They did drywall work on two ceilings replacing old water stains and nail pops; drywall replacement on basement wall; plus various handyman projects (minor plumbing). |The men who did the work were great, Chris, especially. He explained things, eased my concerns. They cleaned up thoroughly after each day. My main shock was the price, which was twice what a previous contractor proposed. After their charismatic salesman shocked me with a quote, he said they had an opening to do the work the very next day. Everything happened quickly, when I really should have gotten another quote first, or had time to think about it. Price was $106/day plus all materials; they would go to Home Depot and buy everything. Only a half hour/man was deducted for lunch, though they were never that quick about it. I had no problem w how long their break was; I just didn't want to be charged for it. When I complained, a bit of money was removed from the final price. Job took four days.

Description of Work: They sent a salesman out to do an estimate for a project and he gave me a very high estimate. When I told him I wanted to think about it and talk to my husband he then started deducting the price to try to get me to sign a contract that day. This made me feel they were not trustworthy and I found another company to do the work.

Description of Work: I bought a Big Deal for handyman service. They were excellent. They did a great job installing our doggy door into a steel door. I didn't think they could do it!
