Description of Work: The guy stayed an extra half hour and I asked him if it would cost anymore. He told me no but later I was harassed by the company for the payment of the half hour. I spoke with them and explained that I was told it wouldn’t be charged, and it was dropped. The work that was done was great!

Description of Work: It didn't "go". The company insists on giving an estimate for the work prior to booking the appointment. I am available for this estimate (they require that I stay home for a 2 hour period rather than a specified time) 3 days each week. However, they insist they can only come to my area to give the estimate on the 2 other days of the week, no exceptions.

Description of Work: Installed 3 grab bars in a bathroom and 4 grab bars in a tiled shower. All grab bars on hand ahead of time. Because we were in a hurry and this firm has a lot of technicians, we were able to schedule the job quickly. However, the pricing system was pretty outrageous. There is a charge for the estimate, which is applied to the job, but there is a four-hour minimum charge. The technicians do not arrive with any needed materials, but time to obtain the materials is charged at the hourly rate. Luckily, we did not need any extra materials. A supervisor did stop by during the job and the quality of work was very good.

Description of Work: I purchased an Angie's Deal for 6 hours of labor, the initial service left a lot to be desired. The main project was to replace a pair of shed doors, with a few other small projects. The initial work in the doors was long and drawn out and completed with subpar craftsmanship. | |After sending pictures of the "completed project" to the main office arrangements were made fora new handyman to come and repair the doors to provide reasonable craftsmanship. Due to the negative initial experience I'm hesitant to use them again.

Description of Work: Purchased 4 hour wood rot repair service. Had a simple wood window frame repaired. Actually took 8.25 hours to complete repairs. Additional hours were billed at $106 per hour, in addition had to pay for travel time to and from Home Depot and all supplies. (which included 3 paint brushes, bucket hook and a paint bucket) What kind of repair service does not have paint brushes and paint buckets as part of their tools? Overall cost was over $874 for labor and $88 for supplies. Total cost was almost $1000 minus the $424 credit I paid $199 for.

Description of Work: Installed a set of hinges on exterior gate, repaired hole in front porch stair landing. Installed a fireplace place screen, attached new bolts on two handicapped railing going to basement, stain proffed kitchen back splash and painted several coats of paint on b bathroom wall after stain repair

Description of Work: Removed rain gutter, replaced the 8" wide front wooden fascia covering the joist ends. Reinstalled the rain gutter and painted the new wood. Superb, high quality work - thank you Justin!!!

Description of Work: Power wash and paint deck. AWFUL experience! 4-hr project took over a month to complete and had more promised service dates that never materialized than I can count. I tracked many of the no shows and finally gave up. What a disaster.

Description of Work: JW Home Improvement replaced some rotted wood around our house. The technician was on time, friendly, professional and courteous. He always covered his shoes when he came in our home, something not everyone does. The work was performed perfectly and within the expected timeframe. I would definitely use JW Home Improvement again.

Description of Work: Fixed drywall, primed and painted; replaced outdoor lights; replaced 2 bathroom faucets; hung 2 pictures and a curtain rod; replaced wood transition threshold. Done professionally and well. Pleased.

Description of Work: They performed what was asked, but I didn't read what they don't do in fine detail and therefore didn't really get from the service what I was looking for.

Description of Work: Repaired trim on base of bay window. Decided to repair entire base rather than just one area, so cost was more than we originally anticipated. Window was then repainted. Work was performed satisfactorily, and we are happy with the result.
