Technician was a no show. No phone call either. After the 2 hour appointment window passed, I called them but got voicemail...they were closed. Absolutely no respect for their customer's time.

Buyer Beware: They charge $50 just to have an estimator come to your home and give you an estimate for the job - which they say will be deducted from the bill if you place an order with them. I did place an order initially but the quote to repair a small section of wooden fencing around my townhouse was $1600. I looked elsewhere and found a local carpenter that did the work for $300. Looks great, too. When I tried to get my $50 back I was told it was the cost for having an estimator come to my house. What a rip-off!

I purchased the 4 hours worth of wood rot replacement work. The estimator was scheduled for an appointment within a week. Pedro showed up and was great. He liked and everything that could possible be done (in case the work was done unless than 4 hours) and he was honest and friendly. He got my actual work appointment scheduled with thin a week of the estimate. The work contractor was scheduled to come between 8-9am, but I was notified a few days before by the manager that they had to change the time. He was very friendly and I appreciated being notified days in advance. Alberto showed up at the time promised, looked at what needed to be done and finished the work within the 4 hours. I was very happy with the workmanship and would definitely use the service again.

Excellent service. Only issue pertained to amount for which I was initially billed, but that was resolved to my complete satisfaction. During pre-job visit Field Ops Manager Josh assessed time required to complete the job would exceed the three hour credit from the Big Deal and collected a one hour advance for job completion, also providing a list of materials which would need to be purchased prior to the technician's arrival. Prior to the tech's 08:00 expected time of arrival JW called to say that my assigned tech was ill but that they would see if another tech was available. Fortunately, that was the case and Carlos arrived at 09:00, having been redirected from another job which would not be undertaken. Carlos provided all services requested in a flawless manner, with brief absences to go to a hardware store to obtain grout application tools (not having expected to perform that task when he set out for his original job) and a short lunch break. Two days later I received an invoice by e-mail which charged for an incorrect number of service hours on site and including the hour for the hardware store visit, citing this as time to obtain materials instead of the tools which JW (and not the client) is obliged to have on hand. My corrective response did not initially receive attention as the secretary was out of the office for several days, but after a follow-up call from me and redirecting the e-mail to JW management their response was immediate and in full agreement with me as to what was owed. JW professes to be dedicated to customer satisfaction. Their actions on this job indicate to me that is not just advertising hype! I expect to use their services in the future.

It went well! Jesus and his partner showed up right on time. I had ordered this patio cover from the manufacturer and was thinking about doing it myself, but it was sufficiently complicated that I was pretty sure it'd be too much for me. The cost for the 21.8'x12' was about $2200. I showed the guys the instructions and walked them through my understanding of how the install should go, as well as pointing out my concerns about a slightly tricky part where the patio cover would intersect with a corner of the house. The guys didn't seem at all concerned and got to work (in the blazing hot sun). I had to hustle out and get some supplies a few times, two trips for flashing (first type was not what they needed), and one trip to purchase screws/nuts/washers as the manufacturer screwed up and sent only a few when about 50 were needed. At the end of the day they did a great job, and the patio cover looks and performs great. I'd been quoted a total of 12-16 hours of labor (the estimator came out for a $50 fee which was applied to the cost when I agreed to it), and it actually turned out to be 18, so the cost was higher than I'd hoped. Not too bad though. I'd say as far as the work done it was very high quality. My only complaint was that the instructions called for calking during several points in the install, and I'd provided plenty of calk. To my surprise the guys didn't use any (contrary to the instructions), so that could be an issue for me later on. I'll get on the room and do a little calking myself (for what I can reach...which may not be enough). Bottom line, very happy.

The handyman arrived on time and was very pleasant. After looking at the area of dry rot, he offered two possible methods of repair - wood or Bondo - and explained the pros and cons of both. After selecting the Bondo method, he got to work right away. Three hours later, you could not tell that there had ever been a bad patch on the door jamb. The repair was seamless. He even took a few minutes to smooth out a previous (badly done) repair on the opposite side of the door. And all of this while it was over 90 degrees outside. I cannot recommend JW highly enough.

Sung, the handy man, arrived early. He was so nice, knowledgeable and hard working. He completed the work ahead of the estimated schedule and cost. He even cleaned the dirt/mold off of my side walk. He thoroughly cleaned and replaced the wood on my deck. Excellent job. I also had taken advantage of the Angie's List deal of $199 for 4 hours of labor, which was a great deal.

I bought an Angie's List offer for up to three hours of work. The workman, Chris, did a terrific job that required less than three hours. He cleaned the area as he was working and left it spotless. We're very pleased with the result.

THEY WERE FANTASTIC! Great service, personnel, etc. The completed all the work requested. I would definitely recommend them, especially for this $199 special offered by Angie's List, but also for work outside the list. They were great!

Both the estimate and work visits went well. Thomas did a great job in the Master bath shower and the tub/shower combo on the second floor. Thomas was on time, and worked steadily for 3 hours to remove the old caulk and apply the new caulk. He was professional and cleaned up after himself. I appreciate his hard work and a job well done.

Sung did an excellent job and exceeded our expectation on the deck powerwash. We bought the $199 angies list deal for washing and deck repair. Beware of these deals though, the actual quote to do the job will likely be much higher and you'll have already spent the money and need to go with the company. We live in old town and have a very small house and decks, the estimate we received just covered the wash only. The person who did the wash realized this was a small job and helped power wash other areas on our house, much appreciated.

On time, very accommodating as we accidentally shut water off and I had to walk Sung through my garage mess to gain access. He was very patient. Then he did a great job, power washing the decks and even did a table. I had that now looks new! Thanks Sung!

I have used JW before and every time I do I have never been disappointed, Justin is the worker who was sent to do the job. He was courteous, prompt, tidy and most of all efficient. The only thing that was different was it took a longer amount of time for service because they were so busy. My thought is when you are good your busy.

The team arrived exactly on time, as scheduled; Manuel reviewed all work on the estimate clearly and explained what he would do, and in what sequence. Manuel and Hector worked quickly and efficiently and accomplished all work in accordance with the schedule. Manuel and Hector did a very professional job; I'd highly recommend them and JW Home Improvement.

Very professional removal of damaged drywall and installation of new drywall by Carlos, including painting the new drywall.

They installed the vanity by gluing it in despite the fact that I told them beforehand I needed my unfinished flooring finished before it was to be installed, yet they still permanently affixed it to the wall. I now need to have it uninstalled before my flooring can be finished by another company. They also called me afterwards to request more money. Another incident that rubbed me the wrong way: one of their workers essentially wasted time by crawling around in the crawlspace for over an hour saying he was looking for the water shut-off valve in order to make more money. It was quite obvious. I wouldn't recommend them.

Superb service/performance. Justin is absolutely a perfectionist. When something did not conform to his high standards, he kept at it until HE was satisfied. At one point (waiting for paint to dry) he asked if I had anything else for him to do. Chris came the next day to lend me a hand with reprogramming my garage door opener. These are two great guys. Their temperament was cheery and eager to do a good job. The company preplanning (providing an assessor before hand), notification of impending work schedule and follow up have been the best I have experienced. I would definitely use them again--even though they might charge a bit more than some individual contractors. The factors that are important to me when hiring a service include: temperament, competency , work ethic and commitment to doing the best job. All of these characteristics where there in the case of this contract.

It was a pleasure dealing with company rep in defining the nature of work to be performed. Actual workers did a perfect and thorough job to ensure high quality. Price overall was very reasonable and fair.

This was a big deal purchase. It was okay. I would not say it was spectacular. I expected better. I would use them again in the future if I get a deal. Without a deal I am not going to use them. Without a deal they are not work, that's what I am saying. They did not do a very good job on the trim repair on the deck door and they did not do a good job on the toilet paper holder -- they had to come back to fix the toilet paper holder again. That's all they did. What they could have done better was to fix things correctly the first time to my satisfaction.
