Less than satisfactory. They said I needed two guys to finish the work in two days. Basically I paid one guy to work at a snail's pace while the other showed Facebook updates. About half the work was done in two days at the ridiclous cost of over $3,000. The estimator was so confident it all could get done. Nothing happened as he said it would. While the quality of the work that was completed was fine, we feel we paid way too much money for the job to get done. I got a call at the end of the first day saying they will be late the second. No follow up call. No receipt. And they never called to tell us how much it actually cost. I will never use them again. Had to hire another company to finish the work.

They were knowledgeable for sure. I was impressed with the information they shared (maybe to show that they got their prices from somewhere...I don't know) but I was not expecting to be quoted 2000.00 for the work that needed done. I haven't heard of having to pay for an estimate. It would have been applied to my service had I gotten the services performed. When I talked to whomever it was on the phone initially, there seemed to be horseplay going on in the background and the language was unprofessional.

Took several days to schedule an estimate for the wood rot repair and the other tasks. I indicated an urgency to complete the wood rot repair. Estimator said he would send quote the next day, instead it took another 5 days. I immediately wrote back asking to proceed with the wood rot repair. Two days later someone wrote back that they would be in touch. Five days later I gave up and did the work myself and cancelled the service. Disappointing service.

The technician called about one hour before his expected arrival and asked if he might come early. I was happy to say yes, and he arrived in a few minutes. He was knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. The window and shower re-caulking went as expected. Unfortunately, the sub-flooring under the loose tile was damp, and after consultation we agreed to remove the tile in the affected area and allow it to dry. This required removing and then replacing a washer, dryer, and utility sink, as well as gently prying up the tile so as not to break it. I had used an Angie's List coupon for three hours work, and the work took slightly more, 3.25 hours.

Raymond was great. He was efficient, quick and the end product looks wonderful!

We had a very good experience with JW Home Improvement. Janaka, the handyman, did a great job fixing a whole range of issues. The list was quite long, from a leaking bathtub faucet to curtain rods that had to be installed. Most of it was fairly normal. The tub though was a tricky job, because for some reason our bathtub didn't have an access panel. Janaka installed one and fixed the problem.

I had a similar experience with another reviewer who felt like they were being up sold from the very beginning. It did not go well at all. They came out and I felt like they were trying to up sell me. He looked at my deck and in under two minutes he told me he had an additional package. Only after I told him I had bought a four hour package did he say in that four hours he could only power wash my 10x10 ft deck. He then tried to sell me additional add on's. I had asked for them to fix the wobbling of the deck because a friend suggested to me that there were ways that I could secure the deck so that it would not wobble anymore. The contractor told me they could do it but would not guarantee of their work. They are very pushy. At first the estimate was $2000.00 but then went to $5000.00 with still no guarantee.

They were fantastic. we had them out for a half day of work and they knock it out of the park. very professional.

It went okay. The big deal covered the cost. We did have an issue with the guy they sent out. He asked for our credit card. He wanted a credit card and I told him that we had already paid for it and he didn't need any credit card. He said, "Oh well this is just in case we have to go to Home Depot and buy some more." I said, "You're not going to go to Home Depot and spend the whole amount of time looking around in Home Depot and may not get anything done." Then somebody from the company called me and he said he would take care of it. I guess he did, I don't know. The guy they sent out to do the job was really good. I would give him an 'A,' but I'm not so sure I would give the company an 'A' I guess the price was okay. I probably won't hire them again because I just didn't like the way the whole thing went on. The one guy who came out, I liked him just fine, but the first guy, I didn't at all. The guy who did the job, did a fine job.

It went very well! In addition to attending to all my requested needs, Willfredo Alvarez (the man who did the work) performed a few "extra's" as well! He noticed that one sink area badly needed some caulking, so he took care of that in addition to doing an excellent job on the bathtub and surrounding tiles. He also fixed some bathroom lights that I had been unable to replace (due to the wrong size of bulbs previously being forced in them). He was professional and courteous and helpful! The estimator, Josh Metz, had initially come to my home to assess what I wanted done and estimate the time it would take to do it since I had a coupon from Angie's List and didn't want to go beyond the amount I had purchased. Josh was honest and friendly -- and his estimate was right on target. An excellent company and two outstanding employees! As soon as I have some more money to spend on home repairs I will turn to them... as well as recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

Excellent! Sam and Brian were my initial contacts and were professional and helpful. Manuel H. did the repairs, was excellent, and one of the best who I have worked with. I highly recommend all of these people and this company. They do high quality work in a timely and professional manner. They are slightly more expensive than other contractors, but it is worth it given their service quality and promptness. I had nor worries or stress about my repairs once I hired them.

Raymond came over to do the work. He was professional, friendly and courteous. Most importantly, he did an excellent job and worked quickly. I will use JWHI again and highly recommend them.

Great. A week before someone came out to the place to assess and view the work needed to be done. He was kind and very professional. I was informed of what to expect. Then the fallowing week someone came to do the work. He came early, listen to my concern, thought through the problem at hand quickly sizing up the situation and headed to the nearby Home Depot to purchase needed items. He was exceptional to work with. I rarely felt so trusting at at easy with a handyman. He went out of his way to resolve the problem where prior handyman I have hired have been in a hurry and have not. He left nothing loose and not taken into consideration. I was impressed at his steadfastness and undivided focused attention to get the work done and Done Well. !

The painting was OK. I think that it took an inordinately long time, so the cost per hour was a bit much, in my book. I think that because I paid for a certain amount of time they wanted to use that amount regardless of what was done.

As always, great work done and quickly. I have never had a problem with J&W, using them for years.

Power wash was done by James and Sung. They were very nice and did a great job.

JW sent Alberto and Kevin to do this job. They arrived on time and well prepared for the work. The assembly job was somewhat complicated, with a large number of steps to be completed carefully and in precise order. They looked over the instructions and went immediately to work. In less than two hours they had put everything together in exactly the correct way. Although this job was somewhat out of the usual for JW's people (which led to some initial problems getting the job estimated), the final result was excellent. They also did the drywall work very quickly and very well. We were highly pleased with the result and would like to work with Alberto and Kevin in the future.

I was not very happy with the services. They did a really poor job and frankly overcharged me. So I won't be using them again. They power washed it. They were supposed to sand it, but they didn't. Then they sealed it. I paid almost $1000. They had to come out three times. The first time they came out and the guy gave me an estimate and told me it was going to be $600 or $700 more than what I paid for the big deal. I got estimates that were a couple of hundred dollars cheaper, but since I had already paid a couple of hundred dollars for the big deal, I just went ahead and did it because I was already $200 sunk in. Then they had to come back another day. There was a guy who power washed it. He did a good job with the power washing. He was fine, he showed up four hours late and there were supposed to be two people. One person showed up, but nonetheless he got it done and he did a good job. The third visit was to actually sand and seal the deck. The guy didn't sand it. So I've got good chunks of wood that are still sticking up and you get splinters all the time. It was supposed to be two guys, it ended up being one guy. They told me it would take two guys four to five hours, to do two coats of sealant, which is what you're supposed to do. One guy showed up, he worked eight hours, he didn't even get completely one coat done. He was working so slowly and he went out several times. He was talking on his cellphone and they were charging me by the hour. So, I think I paid a ton of money for him to talk on his cellphone all day. After eight hours, when it was up to a $1000, I just told him to leave because he was like, "Oh, I have to do the second coat." I was not going to stand there while he did another eight hours talking on his cellphone. So I just told him to leave. So, our deck still doesn't have one coat of sealant. My deck is 10' x 4'. It's not large. My husband and I have done it, in half that much time, double coated. To be honest, I did call and complain to them and they didn't seem to care very much. So, we're just not going to use them again. The job is still not done, I will have to hire somebody else to come out and finish it. The people in the office and the guy who came out to do the estimate were actually very nice. Then they weren't responsive after they did a terrible job, but the rest of the process worked well. For two of the appointments they came on time. What was more annoying was that they kept saying that they would send a couple of guys so they could do it quickly and every time the other person seemed to be sick. They didn't do a good job but they were all friendly and respectful. They weren't rude about anything.

JW did come back and made the situation right. They were very apologetic and didn't charge me for the toilet service.

The day started off shaky do to the original working calling out sick and then some technical issues with their scheduling software. But the scheduler saved the day and was eventually able to get a well trained, professional and courteous replacement handy man by the name of Raymond to come out to complete the job. Raymond did excellent work and explained himself every step of the way, even offering advice as to how I could potentially easily fix the dripping in the future of it occurred again. I also really appreciated that he had great advice to offer about other potential issues all around the house. I would definitely recommend JW again and I will definitely request Raymond for any future work at my home.

Excellent. Manuel was on time and got to work right away. After he replaced the ceiling fan, bathroom faucet, and window blinds, there was some time left over so he replaced the outside door light fixture, too. Very pleased with the work performed.

Rocky and Ever arrived on time and completed the job in a timely manner. They were very professional and courteous. The repairs were quite satisfactory. I would highly recommend this contractor for general home repair and maintenance work.

Job was done very well. Chris was great. Very professional. He determined what was needed to be done and went right to it. He didn't leave a mess behind and he stayed within the timeframe. I definitely plan on using this company for other projects.

The 2 individuals work efficiently and followed my instructions, neatly stacking the bricks beside an outdoor deck.
