David was very knowledgable & patient. He walked me through the process. We had a hiccup when the appraisal was less than what I anticipated. He informed me about getting an appeal for the appraisal In the end all went much more smoothly than a previous refinance with a major Bank. It also was significantly less expensive. I recommend Mr. Lustine without reservation.

Due to unexpected life situations we found ourselves in major debt and due to these unexpected life events our credit was less than the stellar credit we had always strived for. We chose to refinance our house and obtained quotes from our current lender and a credit union we do banking with. David was very professional. It was Sunday evening around 9:00 pm back in 1998 when I called David to arrange a mortgage for me. I was preparing myself to leave a message that David should call me first thing on Monday morning. To my surprise David picked up the phone and provided valuable information about buying a mortgage. I asked him how come he is in the office even on Sunday evening this late. David said he works hard and that he proved by the services he provided. Next morning, to my amazement mortgage packet was sitting in front of my house. That was then but i got back to David a month ago and David arranged another mortgage for me. Excellent Job! I first contacted David in September about refinancing. At the time I received several quotes. As one of them was significantly better than his, he was honest and said go for the other one. As he suspected it was not something that I was actually able to get, it was either a mistake, or a mistruth to pull me in. We did not refinance at that time. Every conversation with David was honest, and open. He understood his product very well, and also spoke to me as if I understood what was going on. If I did not understand he quickly explained it to me, and if he did not know he was honest about not knowing, and quickly researched and provided the correct information. David remembered that we were interested in refinancing, and when rates went down he reached out to us and we were able to refinance at a better rate. There were times when it did not seem as fast as other times I have refinanced, but in the end that worked out well, we did not feel rushed to provide all the paperwork, and at closing there were no issues. I would definitely work with David again. There were no hidden fees, and the whole process was easy.

We've worked with David before, but we're new to Angie's List. We joined to get info on contractors we need for stuff around the house, but thought we'd leave a review for David as well. David came highly recommended to us years ago. We've used him to lower our rates on multiple properties and have always had good experiences. David was readily accessible at nearly all times... day or evening, and was always willing to discuss or answer questions we had. In our experience so far, he's picked good partners (title companies) to work with who come to your home and are helpful in navigating through 2 toddlers and a noisy hungry crowd. Very convenient since getting to an appointment would cost us time at work or inconvenience at home. I chose David based on his consistently excellent reviews on Angie's List. I also decided to go with him after talking to several other lenders. I did not want to refinance, but realized it was a wise choice since the rates were increasing and although I had a great rate, it would probably increase dramatically next year. Of all the lender's I spoke with, I decided to go with David because he did not waiver on what he promised. Several of the lenders said they could offer me a certain rate with the terms I requested, but when it came to putting that in writing, it always ended up costing more. I have had this happen in the past which is why I was so hesitant to refinance. David worked really hard throughout the process. He gave me regular updates and was very responsive. He explained everything along the way and answered all of my questions. Bottom line, he delivered on what he promised which was what I was hoping for. I got the rate and terms I wanted and he quoted me. I paid only about $200 out-of-pocket which is what we agreed upon and was actually less than I expected. Other than that very small amount, my loan was truly a no-cost refinance. Also most importantly, my new loan did not go up a penny which is what I requested. I would highly recommend David without hesitation.

In a word, the services that David provided to us were FANTASTIC. David handled a very complex refinance of my home. Every time there was a bump in the road, he worked until it was gone. He took time to listen to my special situation, he understood what I really wanted to do. He understood that I live and work in one state while my husband lives and works in another state. David made sure that I got as much as I could from the equity in my home, by helping me understand what paperwork was needed to prove my primary state of resident. He worked with the appraisal company, made sure that it reflected the correct amount after the first appraisal came in low. He kept going back to the underwriter to ensure that I got the correct percentage out of the equity of my home. He paid the fees to let me settle in another state to ensure that both my husband and I could sign the paperwork, thus closing in a timely manner. He was always available to answer any questions. Most claim there are no closing costs but in the end there are. With David, I paid nothing to refinance my house and ended up saving $453 a month on my mortgage. Was able to close within a month and the process was painless. Professional and courteous, David made it simple, I only wish I had talked to him sooner.

These refinance(s) dealt with properties (primary and secondary) that were located in multiple states, small business ownership and lots of complexity. David's services helped us (me many times, my mom and sister several times each) get all of the proper documents and he helped us find the best method to show proper income to get the loans approved quickly and effectively, both in (and out) of state. David kept me up to date constantly, via email, phone or text (what-ever worked best for me). He is a pleasure to work with and always has a "can-do" attitude.
