Alan was fantastic finding us Home owners Insurance immediately after we were told we were the winning bid on our new home in VA. The experience has been excellent. Alan is always extremely responsive. It is very helpful to have a broker who we can contact with any questions about insurance. Insurance is a difficult, complex process and so having Alan to guide us through the various products and figure out what was the best fit for us was great. Thank you Capital Benefits! It had been a number of years since we had looked out in the market and repriced homeowners insurance. At first we thought we could do it ourselves. It soon became apparent that we needed a professional to compare potential coverage. Capital Benefits did a fantastic job. Josh was incredibly responsive. I contacted him through Angies List and received a response within the hour. He spent time discussing my needs, going through various options and taking my application. The same day he came back with quotes. He also spent time rechecking the quotes for various options (earthquake, jewerly riders, etc.). I saved almost $1,100 annually on homeowners insurance (Travelers)...received greater policy limits and more coverage (sump pump failure, ID Theft, included). Josh also advised me that given the number of tickets and accidents my wife and I have reported in the last 5 years, we weren't going to be able to beat our current GEICO policy, but that we should check back. I've also occasionally checked back with Josh on business insurance questions for some of my clients and he quickly responded with advice and no sales pressure. Great service.

Capitol Benefits LLC is phenomenal. I first contacted them in August 2013 as I was looking for someone to help me with property insurance for an investment home. I had previously contacted other home insurance companies - and struggled to find a company that could provide insurance for investment properties or that would provide insurance for multiple properties. As soon as I sent a request to Capitol Benefits LLC via Angie's List, Josh responded within minutes. (It was late one evening, so I was very impressed with his immediate response.) His responsiveness, service and professionalism have continued throughout all of my dealings with Capitol Benefits LLC - and I have now utilized their services for additional properties. I will, undoubtedly, continue to contact Josh for any future insurance needs that may arise. He has been outstanding. I would not hesitate to refer him to others, as my experience has been highly positive.

Josh was highly professional and responsive to all of my needs. He took multiple phone calls and was prompt in getting back to me whenever I left a message. We chose the best policies for me and I have been very happy with him and his agency. There were no charges beyond the charges for the actual insurance. I reached to Capitol Benefits, since I was impressed with their good reviews on Angie's List and printed a coupon that reads that potential customers will get a $10 Visa gift card, just for contacting Capitol Benefits. Alan Putterman of Capitol Benefits, initially gave me a great auto insurance quote. Thus, I was prepared to send him a check and do business with Capitol Benefits. A day later, the quote changed for the worse. Displeased and jaded, I informed Mr.Putterman that the quote is unacceptable and never received their $10 Visa gift card in the mail, as advertised on Angie's List.

I would highly recommend Capitol Benefits to anyone in the market for their type of services. In every transaction, they were responsive, cheerful, and successful in accomplishing for us what we needed. I had moved to a new home in October 2012 and had to hurriedly purchase a home insurance policy in order to close on time. I had paid double the cost of the policy on the home I had sold, because the insurance providers insisted I was not moving to a secure neighborhood, even though the house and neighborhood were similar to my old neighborhood. ( I moved from Montgomery to Baltimore county.) Capital Benefits found us an insurer who considered the most detailed attributes of our new house and neighborhood and considered it less risky than our neighborhood in Montgomery County. We were then able to get a policy for even less than our any of our previous policies, with substantially more benefits. So - not only were there financial benefits to us, but we dealt with people at Capital Benefits who were wonderful!

We had a very good experience with Joshua Lavine; he got back to us very promptly and professionally with all our questions, and answered our myriad of questions about health coverage. I would recommend him and his company to anyone.

I have had my insurance through them for about two years. Most of my communication with them is over the phone and through email. They are a good company to work with.

We worked with Allan Putterman and were more than satisfied with his work. He was extremely thorough, very prompt in responding to phone calls and email messages, and patient in answering our numerous questions. Our situation was more complicated than some since one of our homes is a coastal property. Alan did not use a standard cookie-cutter approach to our case but carefully considered our needs. Interestingly, an agent from a different company gave us a quote for coverage that, we later realized, could have resulted in the cancellation of our beach house policy. Josh gave us excellent advice on our health care insurance. As everyone knows the health insurance situation today is in turmoil. You may not have what you think you have. We have insurance but I will age into Medicare in 2014 and my wife will in 2015. How we would handle this transition and what we might need was the issue. Josh gave excellent and prompt advice. We were happy that he said that we had what we needed. But, he was so good and helpful that we are sorry that we did not need to buy something from him. I have been practicing tax and corporate law in Washington for almost 40 years.
