I contacted Alan and within one day I had all of my insurance matters in order.

I moved from MN to VA and therefore needed to acquire new health insurance. Since I have a preexisting condition, I was pretty stressed out about the process. I found Capital Benefits via Angie's List. The first thing I was happy to learn is that insurance brokers receive their commission from the health insurance company, so using Capital Benefits didn't cost me anything. Bob answered all my questions about the complicated world of health insurance in clear, everyman language. He guided me through the process step by step. He always responded quickly to my phone calls and emails. And, he's just a very pleasant guy to work with. Having his assistance greatly reduced my stress. I would highly recommend Bob.

Alan (the insurance agent) ensured I received the best price by helping me get an old accident record corrected. Additionally, Alan sent cancellation notices to my old insurance companies, which then sent me refunds on renewal payments.

I contacted Capital Benefits after reading all their great review on Angie's List. Moments later, I was pleasantly surprised with the president of the company responding asking some additional questions. Josh is one of the most pleasant individuals I have ever worked with. I had a lot of questions for him, and he responded to all of my questions in a manner that was personable, informative and never pushy. The quotes I received from Josh were by far the best out of the 6-7 other providers I had queried (including my current Allstate provider, whom I have always been happy with). My car insurance is HALF of what I have paid or been quoted by anyone, coming in at under 800 bucks a year (with the same amount of coverage). I could not be happier! My home insurance just went down by 150 more dollars after Josh made sure the insurance company sent out an appraiser after the FHA appraisal overestimated the replacement amount of our home. So even after the check was signed for my homeowners insurance, Josh followed up with me to let me know I would saving 150 dollars off my yearly premium - you don't get that kind of service everywhere. Ultimately, I know I made the right decision and would recommend Josh and Capital Benefits to anyone looking to save money but not sacrifice service.

It was a short but very productive interaction. I found another insurance company with a cheaper policy, so I ended up not using their services. I'd recommend them to others looking for insurance.

The company found me a better plan (more coverage) for less money. They also found some previous coverage that was unnecessary. The company was very responsive to my requests and performed thorough work. I have also applied for a life insurance policy and anticipate a good quote.

I can not recommend a company higher then Capital Benefits. Nice, prompt, and helpful. I was having trouble with getting an insurance plan and I had to get low coverage temporary emergency insurance from my university (as an alum.) I called up Capital Benefits and they found the perfect plan for my long term health insurance. They spent the time explaining the different options. After our phone call, they were quick to follow up via email and even followed up with the insurance company to ensure that everything went through and I was approved. I can not thank them enough for putting the time and effort into finding me a good plan that fit in my budget. This is the place in DC if you need health insurance. Don't try to go through some insurance company agent, use the folks at Capital Benefits.

I recently moved to Northern Viriginia, and because I was satisfied with my previous Farmers insurance, simply changed to a local agent. I quickly found out that she was very non-responsive and not knowledgeable at all about the insurance she was selling. She was underinsuring me and had no advice or knowledge about what I should do to improve my insurance situation. I found Josh and Capitol Benefits through Angie's list and decided to give them a try. I was impressed from the beginning. Josh was very responsive to my concerns without being pushy at all - just very quick to respond, and went over the options in as much detail as I wanted to make sure I had appropriate coverage. I ended up getting much better coverage than I had with Farmers for about $500 per year less overall for 2 cars and a house. My better coverage included at least 30% more coverage for my house, and half the deductible on my cars that I had previously. I would highly recommend Capitol Benefits and Josh Lavine to anyone looking for a new or replacement policy!!

Josh did a great job. Josh was as attentive to us, one family, as I assume he is to companies with many employees. The one thing I wish he would have done differently was to have recommended we apply to more than one health insurer in the beginning. Applying to only one company may be the right thing for some people, but not for our situation. I appreciated Josh's efforts in our behalf and I really liked all the helpful emails and calls.

It went very well and I would recommend them as an independent insurance agency to my friends and family.

Josh Lavine was very helpful and informative. He didn't push anything but made good recommendations and helped me understand our options and the repercussions of our choices. I believe he got us appropriate coverage for a good price. He responds very promptly to phone calls and email, even outside of normal office hours. He contacted the parties who need our insurance info for a house purchase, saving me some time and trouble. He even answered my question about good pizza places at our new location!! After our business was completed, he offered the Angie's List coupon without my asking. He is personable and professional.
