Sadly, the experience was dismal. I wrote the following letter to Air Ductors: "To whom it may concern, I had a team out today to my home in College Park to fulfill my air duct/dryer vent Living Social voucher. The service was said to be a $258 value. Within minutes of your team's arrival, I was informed that my service did not include my entire system, in which your team member said he found mold, and that it would be an EXTRA $300 to clean the supply section of my duct work. He said to not do so would make the entire effort pointless. First, there is no mold. It's residue from high heat. I verified this with a furnace repair professional after your team left. Second, I do not appreciate being bamboozled and ask you what exactly is the $258 in services? I opted not to have the $300 service and asked that my covered duct work still be cleaned regardless as I've already paid for the service. The serviceman, Guy, begrudgingly agreed to move forward and I thought they were performing the tasks, while I continued working on my own tasks at home. The team almost left without cleaning the dryer vent, which was also part of the package. Upon inspection of my house, I realized that only ONE vent appears to have been removed and cleaned at all, and around that vent there is wall damage. The other vents are still dirty and clearly have not been touched. I have taken pictures and can provide them. For a frame of reference, I have used this check list:http://www.epa.gov/iaq/p? I would like you to a) provide a detailed list of the $258 services that were to be provided in the Living Social promotion, and b) return to actually complete the service or refund my money so I can have the service done by a more thorough and honest company. I am a member of Angie's List and write regular reviews. I will also notify Living Social about my experience. I am giving you this opportunity to rectify the situation. I hope to hear back from you soon." I still had to call the company to get a response, which was that they apologized for the inconvenience and permitted the refund through Living Social. I gave them the opportunity to come out and actually complete the service but they declined to do so or address the actual services to be provided in the Living Social package. I decided to take the money back and move on as the wall damage will require some spackle and paint and frankly, I'm not sure I want them back in my house. I suggest if you find yourself in a similar situation, email and call to ask for a refund. But first and foremost, I would recommend to avoid using this company altogether.
