My rental property was empty for 6 months, and when my tenants moved in they found evidence of rodents. Ward came out promptly, removed a mouse that we found, checked cabinets and attics and laid traps. They returned after 2 weeks to remove the traps and warenteed their work for 30 days. I was very happy with their service.

They did an excellent job and came back to patch up where the point on entry was.

They have been very satisfactory, reliable and friendly. Explain what they are doing, they work with you and I am completely satisfied with them.

These guys are thorough and reliable... we've been using them to treat all of the units in our condo building for bugs, etc. These guys are a million times better than Orkin, which we terminated with impunity (their level of service was simply abysmal...).

The company first came with a dog and inspected my home. It was easy to make an appointment, and they were punctual and fast. They did not find any pests. I called back shortly thereafter when I thought I was still being bitten, and they sent two technicians to do a thorough, hands-on inspection for no additional price. They were punctual, professional and knowledgeable and I felt confident in their assessment. In the end, I appear to be having a reaction that is not due to pests, and so I did not need their services. I was extremely grateful that they performed such a thorough inspection for no additional cost. The cost of the first inspection was high - other companies appear to charge half this price - but I am pleased with the services that I received for it and would call them again.

The technician (I think his first name is Suresh) on this visit is the best one they have. He's knowledgeable, courteous, thorough, and helpful. One thing that I don't like about American Pest as a whole is that they send a reminder notice a week before the service date that they schedule, and the arrival window is all day, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you want a narrower time frame (two hours), you have to call them and ask for it. They should just put the two-hour time frame in all of the reminder emails and calls- they already know it. At least they make it easy to reschedule if the time frame doesn't work for you.

As always, very courteous, well-informed, and helpful. I have had a service contract with American Pest for several years and have never regretted it.

They're very good - we're very happy with them. We have a contract with them, and we've been with them for about 6 mos.

We used them for several years for ant control on an as-needed basis but last year - with multiple in-door bug problems - we switched to the annual service plan. It seems a bit silly in winter but it provides multiple visits in the spring/summer/fall that make it the better price. The people who come have always been excellent and on-time and listen to what we do and do not want done. They also communicate well so I have plenty of notice of their next visit and plenty of opportunity to re-schedule as necessary.

They were responsive to calendar changes and were mindful that we live in the countryside with various animals from the woods.

This is a competitive business and American Pest stands out for its quality and responsiveness. They send out their knowledgeable and dedicated technicians as quick as possible, and these people really try to solve your problem, not just go through a checklist. They clearly like their job and the company they work for. And not only do they take care of their customers through excellent service but they give their customers a couple of Nats tickets each season as well as raffle off other sports tickets. Plus they are local, so you know your money is staying home. Great company.

Provided an extremely thorough termite inspection on our 1970's colonial. The estimate was free of charge and, thankfully, we came out termite-free. The service was professional and honest, with absolutely no pressure to purchase any added services.

They did a good job plugging up holes but communication wasn't great on the best way to remove the mice from the house.

I knew we had rodents in the attic; Ben pointed out the evidence that it was mice and set traps. He proposed their continuing service but we don't have any other pest problems, so we just paid for the 1-time service (this visit and a follow up). I felt $199 (after the $50 discount for Angie's List) was a bit high, but it seems like everyone is expensive these days. The traps silenced the mice by the next day, so nice not to hear them constantly gnawing and scratching over our heads.

Very well handled. I spoke with Ben at American Pest and explained to him that we had gotten some clothes back from the dry-cleaners and they stated they found bed bugs. He was skeptical. To be thorough, I asked them to do a home inspection. He was able to reach their canine handler and have her at the house in under an hour (we got lucky! They were finishing up a job in Fairfax City). The dog and the two handlers searched every room in the house, finding nothing. They took the time to explain that what the dry-cleaners probably saw were harmless carpet beetles. I was very happy with the response and professionalism. I'd use American Pest again.

Service person is very polite and attentive to my very demanding wife.

They performed the work well and they did everything they said they would. They were able to get rid of our issue. The came in the afternoon and then had to come back the next day because they needed more supplies since it was a more complicated job than they anticipated. One person was doing the work at both times and scheduling was pretty easy.

Everything goes well went they are out. They are very professional. I would recommend this company.

set traps for rodents in crawl space of house and remove, rebait as necessary Wards has been very helpful to me in the past, spraying for ants many times at multiple properties. The ladies on the phone was very helpful and took time to explain in detail what their process is for catching animals. I think this animal is a racoon b/c it has a communal feces site. They set a trap. we will watch it daily. they will return to re-bait, reset and remove the animal until an animal is caught. all for $155. When the animal is caught, they will release the animal into a wildlife area, then return the trap to the crawl space for an additional $55. And continue this cycle until they are sure no more animals exist. They will locate the hole through which the rodent entered the crawl space and seal it if it is not very large. if masonry work is required, they will merely inform me of the site of the hole. I called Pest Now for this job and they wanted more than $2000. their service included additional tasks such as isolating the area covering the crawl space "ceiling", walls, and who know what else" with plastic., and treating the area for fleas, lice, etc, I did need or want these services. They would not just trap the animal and remove it. They said this is the process they use to remove rodents and no other. Wardswas very professional, personable, and patient. Their prices are very reasonable I definitely recommend them.and will use them again.

I love them! They are efficient; they do what they say they are going to do. They are polite and understand about rescheduling. I have been using their services for about three years. I live on a hill and we have mice problems.

The contract went well. I felt they were thorough. If we ever had a problem they would come right out. If we have any future pest issues they would who we go to first.
