It went well they did a pretty good job there were a few little things I noticed because I'm an inspector but nothing big. There were two people that came to do the work plus one coming and going. It took them about one week to complete the work. They did something really good some little things not so good but they took care of things they were very nice and overall did a good job they got it done and got out of here. It was nice that they finished quickly.

Michael was nice but the guy he sent was unprofessional. Showed up 1 hr & 20 min late. Arriving at my house & talking on the phone still. SLOW guy & I pay by the hour. Didn't know what allen ranch to use after 20 min. Took me 5 sec to find the tool. After 45 min he had not even put a screw into the wall to hang a vanity mirror. This guy called the owner & complaint I'm "a crazy lady" & he can't work for me. There were 3 other technicians in the house & everyone worked pleasantly. This guy is the only one with problems. I told the guy he's done when nothing was done after 45 min. Michael's business has good reviews & I hope he doesn't let this guy ruin his business. I had to take half a day off work to meet this handyman. A waste of my valuable time. Michael said he'll reschedule but never called me back.

They were great. Mike was great working out a budget and time for the project. And all of his guys were top notch!! They were able to make a custom sink fit and work in a very tight space. They were extremely professional, punctual and they got the job done! Can't wait to hire them for my next project!!

I saw no one and I did not hear from anyone. He didn't call.

We had a backed up sewer for which we called Roto Rooter to come out and fix. After inspecting the pipes and running a snake through the drains, Roto Rooter determined that we had a broken pipe near our clean out, a foot or two away from the property line, meaning it was our responsibility to fix, not DCs. However, it was too big of a job for Roto Rooter (the pipe was 10 ft. underground) so we called Mike and his team in. After using infrared technology, they determined that the break could actually be on DC's property and suggested we contact the city to have them come out before they started doing any work. It turns out it was DC's problem and they came out to fix it. This ended up saving us $30,000!!! Mike could have just started the work and gotten the job but his priority was to save us money while also solving the problem. We were so thrilled with Mike's honesty and willingness to help us out that he's now installing a new roof for us at a great price, and demoing and repairing two badly constructed bathrooms. We are going to use City Renovations for all of our household needs from now on.

From the moment he arrived, the worker quietly and efficiently took care of the tasks I gave him. I warned him before he came that the 3-hour time frame he was allotted may not have been enough time, but I had a morning appointment and would have to leave before he finished. There was no need for that because he finished in record time. You could tell that he was quite experienced at his job and it amazed me how quickly he was able to finish. I asked him to do a few other things since he finished so fast. He was careful to protect my floors and newly painted walls and cleaned up after himself. I recommend City Renovations and Remodeling for anyone who doesn't have a handyman around the house. I will certainly keep them in mind for future jobs.

Well. My own complaint was that I was required to provide a list of needed services upfront and, as a brand new homeowner, I was not yet sure exactly what would need to be done. The handyman did not have this list after I spent some time compiling it, so I'm not sure why it was needed in the first place.

I waited through Monday afternoon and still no call and made a second call to Mr. Wiggs. He expressed surprise that the electrician had not called me an promised to call him directly and text me the electricians phone number so I could call him directly if I didn't hear from him quickly. I never received the text with contact info nor a call from the electrician through Monday and into Tuesday late morning. The electrician did call me late Tuesday morning as I was boarding a flight. He asked me to describe the work I needed done. This is important because I had been asked each time I made contact with City Renovations, despite completing a detailed summary on their website and in the Angie's List Big Deal request. I complied and gave the electrician my next available date to schedule the work. He then asked me to call him back two days before that date to make final details and commitments. I asked why is it that I must call him and was told that he "running a real business" and I should call him to get a final commitment. Following this discussion I decided this is not a company that I wish to engage. The simple process of scheduling work had become too burdensome. In addition, the electrician's rudeness convinced me that he was not welcome in my home. While all contact with Mr. Wiggs was pleasant if not reliable, I'm not sure how a company like this could get an "A" rating based on my interaction with both the principle and one of his workers.

The men were professional. They worked nonstop until the job was done. The owner stopped by to inspect the work and made sure that I was pleased with the service.

The service turned out well. They did exactly what the deal stated and were here the full 2 hours. The technicians did a pretty nice job and touched up some little cracks on the first floor of my home. Scheduling was fine and they were prompt.

I admit I haven't used this service yet. That said, I was impressed enough with the estimate to give them a positive review. I sought an estimate on relatively minor work -the person who did the estimate actually suggested that I not use the service because the work wouldn't warrant the minimum charge ($600). He was surprisingly, refreshingly honest & aimed to be helpful. In a town where it seems the vast majority of service providers are crooks, this caught me by surprise. They are going to give me another estimate on replacing kitchen countertops with granite (something they are very enthusiastic & knowledgeable about doing (& again, not trying to sell me for as much as they can-he made a point of saying the counters are a priority but the cabinets are actually in pretty good shape). I find these services from other Angies list members & then I rate the ones I like well-so I may just be preaching to the choir.. I hope this is helpful nonetheless.

We had an issue where we had water leaking inside through an improperly sealed patio door. Mike was able to stop by THE SAME DAY (after a torrential downpour, many other companies were saying that they would be able to stop by in a few weeks), take a look, give us a quote and advice on how to prevent further damage to the floor. He and his workers walked us through the whole process, removed the patio door and re-set it after a full re-seal, and managed to make it look better than it had before. I would highly recommend using City Renovations for contractor needs; I certainly will!

I input my Statement of Work (SOW) onto the contractor's website as instructed by his message through Angielist. The contractor called promptly around about 8:30 pm to discuss the SOW. I was unable to discuss the SOW that late in the evening because I had to go the the airport very early the next morning. We had a lot of missed calls, but eventually communicated again around 6/9 and 6/10 about 9PM and set a date and time. There was some type of miscommunication because the service worker arrived at my house on the day of the appointment at the wrong time and the contractor wanted him to leave and go to another appointment. The contractor and service worker had a telephone conversation while the worker continued to perform the first task on the SOW. They must have worked things out because the worker remained at my house and completed all the tasks on the SOW. I gave a grade of A because the worker was very pleasant, arrived early, and worked diligently. HOWEVER, the scheduling could use some improvement. I understand this is a busy time of the year and we all live such busy lives, but calls after 7PM are unorthodox and difficult for me.

We've had frequent water problems with the drain in the stairwell at the back of our house that enters into our basement. We'd finally had enough late last fall when water leaked into the basement and soaked into carpet in a couple of rooms. We called a couple of contractors to suggest fixes, and decided to go with City Renovations because we thought that they had an innovative solution to stop the leak. Mike Wiggs suggested replacing the French drain in the stairwell, patching eroded brick work in the retaining wall around the stairwell, and drilling holes into the wall to drain water building up behind it. It was a bit frustrating at first, because the cold, wet weather last winter prevented Mike's team from doing the project. It was April before the weather was good enough to do it, but when Mike came to clear away debris after the project (I happened to be home), we looked at the work and he immediately said that it wasn't up to his quality standards, and that his crew had misunderstood his directions. On top of that, it rained that night and the drain didn't drain -- not the solution we were looking for! MIke's team was back the following week and replaced the drain and concrete and did additional patching of the brick work. The result was like night and day. The drain and concrete work looked great, and the patched bricks looked terrific. Most important, when it rains now, the drain works and we're not concerned anymore about leaks into the basement.

I first spoke with him over the phone and he was a great salesperson. He was able to discuss my problem over the phone and seemed to understand how to remedy it. He also mentioned that his services were guaranteed for several years, which no one else seemed to offer up front. He also discussed how his waterproofing system went above and beyond what the competition does. He showed up on time for the estimate and provided an email with list of tasks the estimate included. When I followed up with phone, text, and email to get some more answers to my question he never replied. The funny thing is that he was totally in the running for getting the projected (estimated at $8,200) but just dropped off the face of the earth.

On May 29, 2014 I purchased a 3 Hour ? Contractor Big Deal with City Renovations, within an hour of making the purchase Mr. Wiggs called to set up an appointment. I was surprised but pleased at his quick response to setting up an appointment! I received a calendar invite informing me of our scheduled appointment and the contractor?s name that will be performing the work. An appointment was made for 10 am, June 5, 2014 to have a TV and mount removed, TV setup, curtains hung and some caulking. On the morning of June 5, 2014 at 1020, no contractor had showed up as of yet; at 1040 I called and emailed Mr. Wiggs to report such. Mr. Wiggs returned my call and I asked, did I get a calendar invite detailing the job?? I responded I did, Mr. Wiggs informed me that when I didn't accept the invite, the job wasn't put on the calendar thus the reason no contractor showed up. Michael Wiggs apologized for the confusion but realized how disappointed I was about situation. He asked that I give him fifteen minutes while he place some calls to try to make this situation right. He called me back to report he pulled one contractors off another job and they could be at by house by 2 pm to do the 3 hours of work! I thought due to my oversight , I would have to reschedule. I was truly happy at his efforts. The contractor Eric arrived at my house about 130 and was enthusiastic and ready to work; did a FANTASTIC job! Thanks Mr. Wiggs for your understanding and going out of your way to assure the work was done on that same day. I will definitely use this companies services again. Mr. Wiggs cares and takes pride in satisfying his customers and providing excellent work. It was great and - very professional and responsive! No complaints and I would use them again.

We contacted the vendor to set up an appointment for 5/30/14 and referenced that we purchased a coupon on Angie's List. The vendor could not locate the purchase and told us we would have to pay direct. I told him that we purchased over a year ago. He still could not locate it and reiterated that we had to pay direct unless we located coupon. Felt like this was a hassle already so we prefer a refund and to possibly go with different vendor. The workman Osvaldo was on time and extremely courteous and professional. I bought the $229 angies list package for up to three hours of handyman help and it was a godsend ! He was extremely diligent, careful, and thorough in his work and upon finishing each task asked what was next with an almost eager tone ! I just moved back to my house after renters left and could not put bed frames and beds together alone ( too tired ) and had zero ability to fix the broken steps ! He really saved me sooooooo much time and I am just so grateful for the great job and how much we were able to get done in three hours !

Fletcher arrived 30 minutes early and waited until the appointment time to ring my doorbell. He finished the assignment in record time, and then stayed and performed additional electrical work with ease. I am impressed at his service, humility, and character.

Fletcher was the electrician who came out to our house. He was on time, professional and friendly. I did not understand a few of the things that he was fixing, they were part of our home inspection report, and Fletcher explained what each thing was in a way that was very easy to understand. I was very pleased with the work he did and plan on using this company for future electrical work.

I was told to fill out a contact page on their website which was not working at first. I was then asked about what work was needed. Then I was told they would get back to me with an appointment date and time to which they never did up until now. I was told that I would have to supply my own material to repair the fist size hole in the wall.

The electrician, Fletcher did a great job. He worked efficiently and neatly, and our new lights look great. He is a very nice man and my husband and I enjoyed talking to him. Mike could not remember the price he quoted the day before, so Fletcher had to hand his phone to me so I could remind Mike of the price. All said, Fletcher "made us happy" as Mike had asked, and the price was right.

The company was prompt scheduling a visit for the service but also started that the deal would nor cover the work we needed done.

He was prompt in returning my phone call. However, hanging exterior doors apparently was not covered under the handyman services included in that coupon. It was not under the small print, so I don't know how I was supposed to know that. I just bought another coupon and when I called before actually buying this time to make sure that they would indeed hang doors, after the current experience, I wanted to play it safe, they assured me they would. So it was not unreasonable of me to assume that that kind of service would be performed.
