The material was ordered promptly and I was notified immediately on its arrival so I could pick it up and install it prior to Christmas.

They were very responsive and seemed good but their quote was 50 to 60 percent higher than everyone else. They were very impressive they just had a much higher quote.

After speaking with the Lady Baltimore team, I knew what to expect with this hardwoods restoration job. We had not moved into our house yet, so we did not have to move furniture or worry too much about dust. We were warned ahead of time that the blue painters' tape might stick in some spots, and that some of our floorboards would need repainting because of the dark stain color we chose. They were right on both counts, but we don't mind doing a little touch-up because the floors look gorgeous! We are very happy with the quality of the job, the even tones in the floor, the attention to detail. We also appreciated that the Lady Baltimore team worked with our tight schedule, only 10 days between our closing and our move. The estimator and each of the crews were punctual and professional. I would highly recommend Lady Baltimore for your hardwood floor refinishing.

The wood was delivered the previous Friday as planned exactly on time. Kevin from Lady Baltimore arrived early Monday and removed all the carpet and began the hallway. Over the following four days he always arrived on time and worked in a friendly and professional manner. He moved and replaced all the furniture carefully without any damage. When he finished he removed all the debris and cleaned up. The floors are beautiful without gaps or seams. We could not be more pleased.

We called several companies that were recommended to us. Besides Lady Baltimore Floors, only one other company returned our call. They gave us an estimate over the phone but never came to our house to actually look at the floor. The representative from Lady Baltimore Floors was punctual, courteous, and very knowledgeable. He explained the work involved, measured, and explained my options. The work was scheduled within 2 weeks. The workers were very friendly and did the work with very little mess. I plan to use them again when I have the rest of the floors in my home refinished.

I got two estimates for the job, and Lady Baltimore's was *much* higher than the other company's, but LB was rated so well on the List that I figured they would be worth the money. Instead, I was disappointed over and over by them. I was out of state when they removed the carpeting, but I had a friend let them in. The friend called me to report a surprise they found on the stairs---the risers were not hardwood and had been painted. I asked the LB guys (over the phone) whether they thought this was a big deal, should I have them proceed or was I setting myself up for a very costly endeavor? The young man replied that the risers just needed painting and that his admittedly uneducated guess was that I'd be looking at a $200 job. So I had them go ahead and rip off the carpet and refinish the stairs. When I arrived after they'd "finished" the job, I was horrified to find lots of nails and staples sticking out from the risers. I could not believe that they'd left these in place. My four-year-old son cut his foot on one of the nails! I was also upset to find that they had not stained the shoe moulding they'd installed to match the floors. Nor had they installed transition pieces where the remaining carpeting meets the newly exposed wood floors---someone might trip over the edge of the carpeting. In short, I thought they'd done pretty sloppy work. I called to complain, and they sent someone out. He, too, expressed surprise that the guys had left all the nails and staples sticking out. He said they would come back to remove them and to install the transition pieces as well as to stain the shoe moulding. While he was there, the LB representative noticed that the wood on the stairs was still rather rough, so he said they would sand and coat the stairs one more time, too. Well, when the two guys finally did show up, they seemed nice enough, but they were very young, not at all what I expected for the prices that LB charges. Anyway, they did remove the nails and the staples. They also sanded and coated the stairs one more time. But they did not bring the transitions pieces, and they were surprised to learn from me that they were supposed to be staining the shoe moulding. They left a bunch of stained shoe moulding on my front porch, along with an OPEN JAR OF POLYURETHANE, A TOXIC SUBSTANCE. I called to complain about this and to ask when I could expect someone to show up with the transition pieces. The woman said they would be in touch. Well, that was TEN DAYS AGO, and they have yet to contact me. The polyurethane on my front porch has been evaporating this entire time, leaving it of no use to anyone. However, they did not leave the lid behind, so I can't close it, and it's illegal to just throw this stuff in the trash, so it's sitting on my porch waiting for them to come get it. In short, I cannot believe that I spent my hard-earned money in exchange for sloppy, unprofessional work.

Lady Baltimore Hardwood Floors were terrific. One serviceman came in and laid the entire floor. He was pleasant, interactive, and did his job well. He did what he needed to do to get the job done.

I called these guys and they came out very promptly, they gave me an estimate of $3135.00. It would have been more if I would have gotten the Dust Containment that keeps the dust to a Minimum. They also fixed the wood in the bedroom. All floors looks original.

I think they were professional. They had their communication together. they were organized. I would use them again.

Initial refinishing scheduled promptly. Showed up as promised. However, both sets of stairs needed to be redone twice (for a total of 3 times). Were very slow scheduling. Did not show up on time. (Also mandated that the house be vacant for three days.) Vacated the first two times. Decided to stay and supervise the 3rd time. During the third visit, they taped plastic to cut down on dust and pulled paint off the ceiling. After coming out twice to repair (again, scheduling a real problem with canceled appointments), decided that the only way to repair was to paint ceiling. (Small hallway ceiling over stairwell) Have refused to complete that saying that they are not painters.

I was able to schedule an appointment the next week for a representative to visit us and give us an estimate on refinishing hardwood floors. This person came at the scheduled time. He gave us an estimate broken down by room so we were able to choose what we wanted done. The work was scheduled within two weeks. The workmen came on schedule, were pleasant and very neat, left no litter. The work was done properly and on schedule. The office staff was responsive to my questions and mailed my house key back to me.They had a very informative packet about hardwood floors and left me a quart of cleaner. I certainly would have them work for me again.

I get nothing but compliments on my floors now that I had them redone. I was impressed that there was very little dust left around. They were very neat and cleaned up after themselves. I have recommended them to all of my friends.

Well - the floors do look terrific, and the people in their front office are extremely pleasant, responsive, and easy to deal with, but their workers are a different story, and I never even met them. I wasn't able to be home when they came back to replace my furniture. Despite leaving them a sketch, they misplaced my china cabinet, and didn't rehang any of the doors they removed, but they readily offered to return the next day and put things right. They blew out five outlets in my kitchen (including the fridge, which was left pulled out and plugged into the garbage disposal outlet) and fried my phone with their equipment, and never bothered to report it. When I reported it to them, they nicely offered to pay for repairs and a new phone. The workmen filled my bathroom toilet with 2 weeks worth of urine - unflushed, and there is a deep gouge by the back door that needs to be sanded out. The front office is great, but the quality of their work crews was pretty disrespectful.

We had used this company the previous year to install hardwood flooring. While we weren't thrilled with their last job, we appreciated that they were willing to come back several times to try and correct flaws in the finish. We decided to give them another try this year with installing hardwood flooring in two more rooms while we were away. Upon returning home we found polyurethane stains on our kitchen counter and newly painted cabinets and broken drywall plaster on a couple of walls from moving furniture. The polyurethane finish didn't look smooth and had a lot of bumps in it (like dust was trapped under it). The company came out and cleaned up the counter, repaired the drywall, and buffed and re-coated the floors. While the floors look better, they still don't look like their showroom floor (which is what I wanted). They are nice people and are willing to keep coming back to try and fix things. But for this kind of money, I want someone who gets it right the first time.

They were great. They did an excellent job on dust containment. Refinishing floors is very dusty work, but they worked to minimize it and they really did. They don't normally work on the weekend, but came in over the weekend in order to finish the job in one week as they originally said they would (which allowed my next set of contractors to start their work on-time).

I felt their price was high and actually wound up going with a competitor. Since the competitor's work turned out to be good, I feel we made the right decision.

I took time off of work to have a salesman come by and give me an estimate. After being 30 minutes late, the office called and said the salesman couldn't make it and wanted to reschedule 5 days later. I said that wouldn't work and then the salesman called me personally and gave me some story how he couldn't make it to my appointment and get back to close up shop on time. Apparently they weren't interested in doing business, because if they were, then they would have shown for the appointment. I never rescheduled the appointment and went with a competitor that actually shows up early for appointments.

These guys were great. We started with another contractor who did a terrible job and we were afraid our floors were ruined. These guys sanded down to bare wood, took out all the marks the other guys had made, did a beautiful job of staining and put three coats of polyurethane. They did it all in about a week and a half. The floors look beautiful.

They are very prompt clean and have done a great job. There were a couple of knicks that needed to be taken care of but they have been great in doing so. I would highly recommend them. The people were all very pleasant to work with.

Not only is the finish on my dining room gorgeous. But I am so pleased with this company that I am planning on using them again in the near future. They arrived on time each day, did their work with very little mess, were extremely polite. I felt completely at ease about them being in my home in my absence.

Work was done during our vacation. Upon returning, the floor had been done except for final coat. Workers left the home clean and almost dust free, as promised. Final coat was done while I was home. Workers were very friendly, answered my questions, and finished the job in a very professional way. Plan to have two other rooms refinished in the next 3-6 months.

Lady Baltimore did an excellent job. The floors look beautiful, and the company was very professional in terms of communication. We had one snag the day they were supposed to move our stuff back into the house, but they came through for us in the end. Overall, this was a satisfying experience. We plan to hire them again to refinish the floor upstairs.
