Response from Holtzople Heating, Air Conditioning, & Electrical Services
Our technician went out to the member's home based on a "No Air Conditioning" call. We found the unit to be low on refrigerant. We then did a leak check and found the indoor coil to be leaking. The technician added refrigerant to get her unit working in the short-term, then provided a price to replace the indoor coil. Once we got the unit working, it started leaking water, after we left. We were never called about the water leak, so of course we never had the chance to clear the drain line, as was done by the next person. It sounds as though the family friend cleared her clogged drain line to prevent the water leak, but the member still has a refrigerant leak and we are confident in our assessment that the indoor coil is leaking. Despite the fact that we have not received any payment for our initial service call from the member, we would still be more than happy to come back out and show her where the leak is occurring, so she may prevent additional issues with her unit. The coil is definitely leaking, and surely still needs to be replaced.
