Fantastic!!!

Working with Rob McColley was fantastic. He is very diligent and knowledgeable. It was not out first home and we know a few things about construction so we can differentiate a 'good inspector' from a 'nice' inspector. Rob is 'great' inspector. Using his findings we ask seller to re-pitch a roof, add roof ventilation, re-do water management systems and lots more. To me it was refreshing to see an inspector crawling into the crawl space to inspect a foundation load bearing work performed. I will use 4U again and will ask for Rob McColley

I found Alan to be extremely diligent and knowledgeable. The inspection lasted approximately 3.5 hours, with Alan and his assistant working together to analyze and thoroughly test my prospective new home. After each section (e.g., Exterior, Roof, HVAC, etc.), Alan would debrief me about everything they found in that section. The details were then relayed into the home inspection report, that was e-mailed to me and my agent later that night. I was extremely satisfied, and will highly recommend them to all of my friends.

Alan and his team were extremely nice and professional. He was on time, brought all of his own equipment and brought goodie bags for myself, the real estate agent and himself. He spent 2 hours outside the house and then came in for a debriefing with us and then continued with the inside of the house. He answered all of our questions, sometimes 2-3 times and made sure that we understood everything that he was explaining to us. He understood that it was our first home and we were trying to cover our basis so we didn't get in over our heads. He was extremely patient with us via email and in person. Unfortunately, the whole home wasn't able to be inspected at that time because there were other problems. He came back to the house a few times to inspect each part of the home that he had to skip previously. All in all, he really prepared us for the next step in the home buying process.

I called several home inspectors in the area to get quotes and to see who was the most qualified to inspect a potential property that my husband and I are thinking about purchasing. I spoke directly to Alan and he was filled with informational advice. He not only explained what he included in the home inspection but he also explained what each process was and why it was done. He is very accommodating as far as scheduling appointments. Upon our inspection we were extremely pleased with the amount of time he took to look over EVERYTHING and explain EVERYTHING during the process and after the process. He is very friendly and patient with any questions you may have. We received our report within 24 hours and it was VERY detailed and explanatory to what he found. This report also included pictures, links and suggestions for problematic areas. I have already recommended to a friend and will continue to do so. We will be using Alan again in the future if we do not purchase this property. Thank you again!

The Inspector arrived on time, explained what he was going to do and got to work. After each area of the house he reviewed with us what he had found and answered any questions.A comprehensive report to follow, It took almost 4hours to complete, but worth every minute.

Alan Grubb arrived on time. Inspection took 2 hours 45 minutes. After each area of the home was inspected he showed me what he'd found. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. He also showed me where all the emergency shut off valves were. The next day he emailed me an electronic copy of the inspection report. There was a web version and a PDF version. There were photos of each problem that he'd found. Made it very easy to email the PDF version of the report to the seller so they could fix problems.
