Wooten Appliance

This was the third time that I have selected a provider through Angie's List and I have been so pleased. When my dryer stopped working, I contacted Wooten Appliance. The first time, the service technician started it up again but told me that it appeared that my motor was dying and would eventually need to be replaced. However, he did not pressure me to purchase a new one, which I really appreciated. He charged me for the service call and said that if I decided to replace ithe motor, Wooten Appliance would only charge me for the parts. The dryer worked for a few weeks but stopped again and I contacted Wooten Appliance. When they gave me the price of the motor, I told them that I wanted to see if it would be cheaper to purchase a new dryer. Since I have a stackable unit, I would have to either go with the same company (which I did not want to do) or replace both the washer and the dryer. Since my washing machine was fine, I did not want to go that route either. So I contacted Wooten Appliance again. The Service Technician started my dryer and said that he would "cross reference" my motor to see if he could find one cheaper. He did. When he returned to replace the unit, there was another part that was stripped. Wooten quickly ordered and installed everything and charged me a small fee for the additonal labor. Even with the two parts, I still came out cheaper than if I had purchased a dryer and much cheaper than if I had bought both. Now my dryer runs like new. It's so quite, I have to check to see if it's still on! Plus my clothes are dry in half the time. Everyone at Wooten were professional and really worked with me throughout the process. The only thing that I would suggest is to have someone available to answer the phone. Each time I called, I received the answering service. However, the office manager always responded the same day.

It was great, and I enjoyed dealing with the company. The company always responded quickly when I called, and the technicians consistently did good work with the repairs.

Serviceman came out and inspected all the appliances in the condo. Did some cleaning and leveling of certain appliances and gave me a little insight into proper upkeep. Professional and prompt.

Darryl is a real pro and real gentleman. It is hard to beat owner-operator accountability. Darryl figured out two non-obvious problems with the ice maker and burner on the gas stove in a VERY cost-effective and responsive manner. I could not recommend Wooten Electric any more strongly. Very reasonably priced and diligent.

The technician was very friendly and knowledgeable. However, all that he really did was tell me about how to take care of my appliances (most of which I already knew). There was no actual cleaning, adjusting, etc. He did diagnose one problem that I had with a fridge and tell me what I would need to have done to fix it, but then mistakenly (I hope it was a mistake) left the water supply shut off so I later had to wrestle the fridge back out again and turn the water back on so my water dispenser and ice maker would work. Overall, setting up appointment was convenient and professional, technician was friendly and professional, but it didn't seem worth the money.

This was the second time I used Wooten for a service call. Daryl arrived dressed neat and professional. My washing machine wasn't draining all the water out. I thought for sure it was going to be a new pump and a return trip days later before I could get my clothes done, but no, it's fixed already. Daryl got inside, analyzed it quickly and found a comb lodged in there somehow which clogged up with lint so he clean it out on the spot. And since that was done so quickly, I had him look at my dish washer and he pulled out some pet hair from one of the rotating spray arms that was clogging the water flow. Although I'm a do-it-yourselfer and try to figure out things which I could fix myself, I would never have figured these problems out. When one of my appliances doesn't work, I get frazzled, but Daryl is calm, polite, respectful, and trustworthy. He is also careful about not making a mess and cleans up afterwards. He logically and patiently works to discover what the problem is and fixes it without delay--he's a pro. I figure, the time and stress saved to have it done right the first time is what I'm paying for. What a relief to have a dependable service company! I'm a happy customer and I would recommend Wooten for your appliances as well. Daryl Wooten is my "appliance doctor" that can cure whatever troubles my appliances have and get them working again, thank goodness.

The tech Darryl was extremely nice and helpful. I had my apprehension from my interaction with their customer service but Darryl made it all ok. Very cordial, professional and friendly. He knew what needed to be done, did it in a timely fashion and cleaned up after himself. Great experience with him. Would use them again in the future for sure. T

They do not work on my model number for my washing machine so I did not end up using them for the big deal.

The service wet well. The machine was not working, but they were able to resolve the issue. One person came out for the job. He did seem professional and knew what he was talking about. I had no issues with scheduling and they showed up to the appointment on time.

The office followed up with me to confirm the appointment. They were very accommodating. They called half an hour before they were scheduled to arrive and came out on time. They professional, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. They had great suggestions for how to maintain the garbage disposal and dishwasher. I would use them again if needed and I would highly recommend them to others.

Service was great. I felt like I was getting an honest assessment and I would use them again.

The first appointment to check the problem was two days after my initial call. He returned with the replacement part one week later, installed the part and I had cleaner dishes that night. On both visits, the technician arrived within the timeframe and called 30 minutes out to let me know when to expect him. He was courteous and efficient and even suggested I might want to go back to the previous repair vendor since the diverter had been replaced less than 2 years ago. My experience in working with Sears was so poor, I preferred to stay with Wooten.

I would highly recommend Wooten Appliance. They were quick on getting back to me on making an appointment. They were very courteous. Daryl the service man was great. He had to come back because he did not have the part needed. He kept me up to date all the way. When he came back with the part my dryer was quickly repaired. He was very professional and I would highly recommend Wooten Appliance. P.S. The price was right!

It was a positive experience, and everything went well. The gentleman arrived on time, charged a competitive price, and did a good job with the repairs. In addition, it was quite easy scheduling the service and communicating with the company during the project.

Fridge wasn't making ice or delivering water. Water line problem. Also ice hose had been pulled lose. Needed much more than idiot maintenance I could provide.

Unfortunately, after our initial "A" rated Apr 18 visit, the noise came back full force, so we called them back about a week or so later. The same technician came back, heard the incredibly loud noise, and simply stated that everything was fine!

He was great. Very friendly and professional.Adjusted doors on fridge and cleaned coils , cleaned dishwasher. Checked washer and dryer and did one belt job which was a bit extra. All appliances are old so I felt good about doing this.

Scheduling the appointment was easy and convenient. I was given a window of 2 hours for arrival. The serviceman called to indicate that he was running late. He ended up several hours past the appointment window, but he apologized and was extremely pleasant and professional. He checked the appliances, including balancing my washer and cleaning the dryer vent. He worked efficiently and explained any findings that he had. I believe that I got what I paid for and would hire them again if needed an appliance repaired.

Assessed the situation, which could have involved making a major repair costing $$$. Recommended against it; instead had a means or repairing while saving my daughter a lot of money!

The tech showed up with in the time given and diagnosed the problem quickly. He ordered the part and returned about 2 weeks later to install.

It was fantastic. The provider came out in a timely manner. He was professional and really knew his stuff. My frig simply stopped cooling one afternoon. I was in a panic and thought I would have to buy a whole new refrigerator. (and I was already pricing them) Then I remembered Angie's List and thought, "what have I got to lose?" A new refrigerator is going to cost in the neighborhood of $2500.00. So, I decided to go on online to my trusty Angie's List. Wooten appliances had great feedback and I gave them a try. After checking out the frig for about 20 minutes, he declared a board had gone bad , picked on up from his shop and we were up and running the next day! It was incredible. AND the refrigerator has been fine ever since. Should anything go wrong in the future, Wooten will be the first people I call. Thanks Angie's list! Angie

I was very impressed with their level of service. Communications with the person at the office were clear and prompt. Both technicians who came to the house were polite and helpful. My dishwasher door had lost its springiness, so would fall all the way open if not locked shut. after falling open this way, something cracked and then it was misaligned and would not close properly. I first hired another company, with a lower service call fee, to come check it out. the person they sent listed a whole raft of parts that might need to be replaced, estimated that it would cost over $400 (beyond the service call fee), then said that all of that might not fix the problem. He was clearly trying to charge us as much as possible to fix this relatively simple problem. So I ate that service call fee and called Wooten because of their reviews, even though it pained me to pay another (higher) service call fee. But the Wooten tech treated my dishwasher very carefully, was really thorough in inspecting it, and diagnosed the simple problem easily and honestly. i needed 2 new spring loaded brackets and one other part, all of which were cheap parts from Bosch. The only unsatisfactory part of the encounter was that i then had to wait several weeks for the parts to come it, but this was not at all Wooten's fault. They ordered the parts from Bosch right away, kept me apprised of the situation, quoted accurately how much everything would cost, and returned as soon as the parts did come in to do the repair. This went smoothly. However, less then 2 weeks after the repair one of the tension brackets broke again. This time i knew what it was, and could tell from the sound and the difference in the weight of the door. I called Wooten and they came back within a few days. This time the tech accurately diagnosed that when our dishwasher had been installed, a very long screw had been improperly used in installing the front frame, and consequently sawed right through the rope which makes the tension bracket work. Which is probably what also happened the first time. He removed the screw, replaced it with a more appropriate one i had lying around, replaced the bracket (again), which luckily he this time had a spare of in his truck, and did not charge me anything more, even though the misplaced screw was not Wooten's mistake. I will call them for any future appliance repairs I have. Very professional, skilled, and honest.

I couldn't be happier with this service. The serviceman called 30 minutes ahead of time to let me know of his exact arrival. He inspected malfunctioning dishwasher, freezer and microwave and was able to fix the freezer and dishwasher on the spot. He cleared a clogged drain in the freezer and suggested we run it slightly warmer to prevent the issue from reoccurring, and he fixed the hinge on the dishwasher that was causing the door to open mid-cycle. For the microwave, it needs a new part, but he suggests that depending on the price of the part and the labor it may be better just to buy a new microwave. Total price of visit = $179. Money very well spent as 2 appliances got fixed on the spot. Much cheaper than buying new appliances as was our fear. Also appreciate the $20 coupon for new customers.
